I paid $400 for a guy to come out and spend 10 minutes peeking into the crawl space and attic, without entering either, and sprinkle rat bait/poison. Oh, and he came back today to do the same, cursory inspection only to tell me about a gap I would need to fill with foam spray. I called and talked to who I presume is a manager and was told that they only fix small holes. But he would send out the very same tech to go out and make a special trip to the store to buy the foam and install it. Yeah, I'll bet that would be a quality job. AAdvantage Pest Control is the best, I've used them twice now at two different properties and they're one of my go-to vendors. We first used APC in August when our tenant called concerned about a wasps nest underneath their units front deck. I called APC and Zach was out the very next day to take care of the wasps, and they never returned. The second time we used them was in October when a tenant called about rats (so gross) in their unit. I reached out to APC and they had someone out that afternoon to evaluate the problem. He laid some temporary traps and returned the next day to seal up a hole in the floor the rats were coming through, lay traps and he even encouraged the tenant to contact him directly if they saw any more rats. I chose Aadvantage (after calling around a bit) because Dave was so kind and helpful on the phone (much better than being met with an automated phone system). Steven came out the next day and was super informative. He quickly identified the opening in our roof that squirrels were getting in through and gave us some ideas on how to fix it, but told us not to waste our time fixing it until he was finished getting rid of the squirrels. I feel like some companies would just say board it up and good luck! Steven has been out multiple times for us over the last month and has patiently answered every one of my 1,000 questions. Pretty disappointed in how my relationship with Aadvantage Pest Control developed. We had quarterly service set up for ground and eave treatments but at the price point (which was fair) we felt we only needed a ground spray. Called Aadvantage, had a discussion about price point, and we changed to a ground spray (which was also reasonable). A few days after we found a large spider on the outside of the house approximately 2 1/2 feet above the ground and called Aadvantage to ask about the recent treatment and they came back and resprayed at no charge. Many months go by and we never hear from them again. After talking with the owner today, he informed me that he just stopped showing up and dropped me as a customer. His reason was that we were not a profitable customer and were asking him to do more work than was included in a ground spray. I take issue with this for 2 reasons: 1) we inquired about a spider 2 1/2 feet above ground level, that should be included in a ground spray as it is included with other companies; 2) this was a one time occurrence and we were always happy with the company. This was not a repeat occurrence as he inferred. Overall, I am shocked at how the owner managed our relationship and made an emotional decision due to a miscommunication about his services. I even asked him to come back and he said "I'm not interested in losing money". I've never been told this by any company or contractor I've hired as I always try to be fair and up front. read more

We have the unfortunate pleasure of needing pest this summer and Aadvantage came to our rescue not once but twice. We originally had them out for ants and then had to have them out again a couple weeks later for rats. They were responsive, on-time, and overall a pleasure to work with. We had Advantage come and spray for sugar ants. They were prompt and professional and we were very impressed that they didn't try to upsell or get us tied into a contract! We called them back when we had a wasp problem and they're coming out next day. Dave reminded me to call if we saw any ants because it's covered under our 90 day warranty! Tough call between 2 and 3 stars here. On the upside, they responded quickly and seem to have taken care of our mouse issue. On the downside, this cost $317 dollars ($295 + tax), payable upfront, for what turned out to be less than an hour's work. Since they'd initially come out on a Friday afternoon, and I wanted the mouse we'd heard dealt with immediately, I hadn't felt like I had time to shop around. So, for that $300+ fee, we got a quick initial visit with bait/poison scattered in the attic and crawl space, and were supposed to get a more in-depth follow-up visit to take care of any entry points. Stephen rescheduled the follow-up visit twice, the second time a half hour before due to arrive. Ok. The eventual follow-up visit lasted less than a half an hour, involved scattering more bait/poison, and putting up screen in one spot and suggested we trim some trees back. Totally up to you whether that seems like over $300 worth of professional help, but it might make more sense to just get some bait and brave the attic and crawl-space yourself. They did poison off the mice, but over $300 for less than a cumulative hour's work seems unreasonable, and it's hard for me to believe that in as little time as he spent here, he could possibly have thoroughly checked for all possible entry points. When I expressed that this seemed expensive for what we got, Stephen suggested we shop around. Sounds like good advice. read more

RUN! The initial contact and service were very friendly, helpful and good; however, things changed drastically when we continued to have problems. They did come back out a few times but did not secure the source of entry. Then they accused me of making things up. I called another company and they took care of the problem immediately with no issues since. Fortunately I put the service on my credit card and they refunded my money with AAdvantage. After the deep cold we have had, we found out that some critters got into our wall. Zach came out and set traps, caught one within the first few days and kept coming out each week to check on the traps and make sure the job was done (got another week 2). Great!! Called company for what i thought were wasps flying under our flower bed close to the house. Owner was super honest about if I could wait they'd be gone in a few weeks. So we were going to sleep on it but that evening a neighbor's toddler child ran up or driveway and towards the corner of the house where the yellow jackets were. My hubs and I were away racing outside but mom got the lil one before she stepped off the small porch area PHEW we called company back and asked to make appt. Gentleman who came was super nice let me know they were yellow jackets not wasps. I was curious on there stuff vs store bought and I'm not shy to ask do I did. He was super nice and explained the nests how they are set up and what his stuff would do compared to store. I will never use this company again. 1 year ago they came and serviced my home for rodents, they did a descent job. They placed bait in my attic and bait in my crawlspace. This year I asked them to come back again, only this time no bait was placed in my attic except the 2 little green blocks from the year before and only a handle full of bait was placed in my crawl space due to fact that the bait that was placed a year ago was still there. They still wanted to charge me full price when I disputed it with the BBB they basically called me a liar and sent me another bill for only $30 cheaper. I have 3 witnesses to prove of the lack of service. To put it correctly he was at my house for exactly 15mins never found the entrance for the rodents but claims I owe him full price...... my question is what did he do and what am I suppose to be paying for? $200 for a handful of bait and a 10 min investigation around my house. He spent most of his time talking to my neighbor. My brother in law came by and actually went into my crawl space and actually found the entrance where the rodents were getting in. This company is shady and are not trust worthy. Never use them!!! read more

Aadvantage Pest Control! Don't waste your time with anyone else! I tried all the oils, traps and any other organic pest control option I could. I was concerned with about or infant and dog but once I found them in my clothes and was forced to keep all food, dog food included, in out fridge that was it. I called Aadvantage and they came out the next day. The rental we were in had one of the worst ant infestations they had ever seen. They came out, sprayed around the house and bated with gel. I just spoke to Dave. He described what was most likely going on with our wasp nest, which turned out to be yellow jackets. He informed me that from his experience the nest was no longer viable and that I could very likely remove it myself, with no danger. . We discovered a rat problem in our home and left a message with Aadvantage. Dave returned my call within 30 minutes and had his technician Stephen out within 4 hours. I talked to Dave on the phone about a spider I found, I told him it's a crab spider, it's black with a crab shaped butt and crawls side to side. I called to find out more information, he told me to call other places that we're more knowledgeable then he. It days hes a pest control expert, I'm thinking not.
