Honestly our goal was to get the best "photos" for sharing on social media. We decided to give a try to Henna in SF. We live in Santa Clara and are usually busy in weekdays, but she agreed to come to us. One thing I really found amazing was the dedication with which Megha was engrossed in doing Henna. I don't know if that's usual for a task like Henna, but Megha was so deeply involved that she literally ignored most of our conversation. At the end of Henna, she apologized for not listening to us. I texted her and she got back to me right away, and I was able to schedule an appt for literally that evening. She was open to me sending her specific designs, but she also has a portfolio of her own. She came over to my place (but you can meet her at a coffee shop or something if you prefer) and it took her about 45 mins to do both my hands, and at a very good rate to boot! I paid $20 per hand which is a bargain, because her work is beautiful! She works methodically and has a creative eye for improvising and adapting to any design you want. If I can suggest anything when you book an appointment, it's that you should let her freehand or pick for you! Her designs are so intricate and she knows what she's doing -- you can possibly get something that hasn't been put on anyone else. That's what she did with me and I absolutely loved how it turned out. I couldn't stop looking down at my hands! The first 2 photos with red nails were from when I got henna done by her for the first time. Maaz did a wonderful job on my wedding henna! I hired them to do my wedding henna as well as…read moresmaller designs on the guests at my henna party, and they did a phenomenal job. They did both hands and feet for me with stunning designs, clearly incorporated what I said I was looking for, and worked SO quickly. They finished (admittedly smaller than some bridal henna I've seen, only to just past my wrists) in maybe 2.5 hours, and took another hour/hour and a half to complete 8 or so smaller designs. Their pricing was extremely reasonable, much less than other artists and the quality was unbeatable. I left the paste on for about 4 or 5 hours, but the paste was getting itchy and I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep with it on, so I took it off after that time, and still got a beautiful dark stain that lasted for about a week. If it makes sense for you, I definitely recommend scheduling your henna in the morning so you can leave the paste on for more of the day to get an even darker stain, but mine was gorgeous even after just a few hours.

She fully accommodated my request for my dogs to be included in the designs and did my sister's mehendi the same night. She also provided great tips for darkening the henna like applying sugar syrup onto the henna, drying the henna over stove top with cloves, and using gauze (not Mefix) for leaving the henna on overnight. The next day, she provided over 15 party guests with mehendi (the line was long because everyone was eager!) and was willing to stay extra time to make sure everyone received designs. She provided me and my guests with lifelong memories. My mehendi was so beautiful, I couldn't stop looking at the designs throughout my wedding.
