Apparently, this place does not care if you need help with Auto care. I had scheduled my appointments 1 week in advance to have cv axles and outer tire rods replaced. Both appointments were cancelled sameday by Aamco. I would Not Rely on this company to care for your vehicle. Both appointment dates and their sameday cancellations by Establishment is Unacceptable. This just let's me know they dont care if your left stranded nor that they have highly inconvenienced you. Neil thinks it's acceptable in business to cancel sameday and to place blame on the customer for timeframe. They had all day to replace parts mentioned, Which is a 3 1/2 job. The job would have been completed on Monday, had They kept my appointment. I classify this company as having poor customer service. In business, a company should always be accommodating especially when a customer already scheduled an appointment. read more

Aamco Burbank is the best because they are honest and treat everyone like extremely valued customers. I suggest making an appointment in advance because it's so easy to do online. When you arrive pay attention and park in front of the second door which is for Aamco. The first door (closest to the street) is for a really nice car detailer. Took in my mini cooper in for what I thought needed a new transmission ($5000.00 plus) at least. Glen who runs the place, nicest guy ever, called and said that it was a computer module that wasn't acting right and had it driven down the street to a mini cooper specialist to fix it for a lot less that $5000. I brought my 2014 Nissan rogue that I just acquired in, shaken up as a previous CVT Altima owner (failed, surprise!). I was curious about what I could do to protect the CVT on this car, and as a woman who wants to learn more about cars and how things work I had a lot of questions. Glenn took me into the garage and showed me what the CVT cooling fan on a transmission looks like and explained the perks of the additive they use and how it works. It was awesome! They didn't talk down to me and weren't annoyed that I was curious. I've been shut down at previous shops for literally just being curious, I've always found cars interesting and if I wasn't going into nursing, I would have wanted to be a mechanic! First visited Aamco to fix some transmission issues on my vehicle. Initially thought the price was significant but later realized it was a great bargain, since it started my relationship with Aamco and I was never disappointed. Level of customer service, credibility, and treatment of vehicles overall was something I've only experienced for a few times in my life. If I ever had a gasoline powered vehicle again, I would recommend this place for all applicable repairs. My final visit was to fix an engine problem that they diagnosed. Called back to find out it was a lot worse. Didn't charge me for the initial diagnosis or the storage fee as I figured out my options. It has taken me a while to write this review because I was torn. I called because my son had a new (rebuilt) transmission and something wasn't right with it. It was jerking as if you were driving a stick and not doing it correctly. He had driven all the way to Vegas from here and back again with the transmission put in by another mechanic. That mechanic had failed to put the filter on!!!! This could have destroyed the trasmission! That mechanic looked at it and was of no help, he didn't even realize his error! This was a used vehicle we just got. We were thinking he were stuck paying for a truck that was non usable. I called AAMCO they were able to help right away! My son needed to return to Vegas for work. We were in a bind. AAMCO agreed to also do the brakes on my car. We took the car in in the afternoon and he would look at both in the morning. My old car needed it brakes done as well. I decided to also do that at the same time in case my son needed to take by car to go back home if his truck couldn't be fixed. They were amazing and fixed my son's truck and did my brakes.! Such a simple thing on his truck. We were so thankful it was an easy and not too expensive job. He was able to take his own vehicle home. Now, I was torn after I had my brakes done and after driving a short distance it didn't sound right. I heard something slip and grind. I called immediately. I knew something was wrong. He said to come now. It was late and I would have to leave my car to be fixed the next day. On the way I had to pull over. My car couldn't move in any direction. I called AAA. My car had to be towed to be fixed. My car is 19 years old and I guess the bolts are old and snapped off with the new brakes and the pads slipped down and prevented my wheels from turning. They fixed it ASAP and were apologetic. I was not happy, which is why it took me so long to write this review. I was very happy about the transmission but not so with the brake sitituation. However, my son does not believe it is their fault that this can happen with an old car. I feel like "why wouldn't you check to see if the bolts are good or replace them?" At any rate I am grateful for the customer service and the swift correction of the problem. They also were able to fix the transmission problem the other guy cause. Which could have destroyed the tranmission. Therefore they deserve 5 stars!! read more

My son got his first vehicle...a used truck for his 18th birthday. It is a huge Ford F-250 with quite a few miles on it. After about 6 weeks of owning the truck, it started to run rough. We decided to stop by this location since it was just a few blocks from our home in order to have it diagnosed. We were so lucky to have met Glen! He was super friendly and did a diagnosis for us immediately. He explained exactly what needed to be done with the truck and exactly how much it would cost . He was very kind and patient and asked if we wanted to proceed. We agreed. Glen had the truck done and ready for us to pick up exactly when he promised... And here's the best part... He was so kind and did all kinds of extras for my son without charging him! That really meant so much! My son, being on a very tight budget, was so grateful. I had the pleasure of working with Glenn and Neil. Both very personable, clear communicators, and patient listeners. Their reviews and accomplishments speak for themselves and I knew they would diligently work to fix my RAV4. Despite the hassle and frustration of car trouble, I let Glenn know I wanted to be his best customer. Taken back by this, he told me that often folks let their frustrations boil over and end up not being the nicest. They were clear about the time it takes to dismantle and rebuild the transmission for an AWD, the warranty, and what to expect afterwards. They texted several times in the process to keep in the loop. Pick up all was good, and they advised no long road trip for about a week as the system learns and adjusts.. Unfortunately after about 200miles I heard what sounded like a metal trashcan dragging under my car. Lucky for me I was in a safe residential area. Not feeling like the vehicle could make it back to the shop safely I reached out to Glenn. He booked a tow for my car to the shop, at no cost to me. It is rare for things to break so soon after being fixed but it happens occasionally. They put my car on high priority and a few days later they had done a 2nd rebuild. Though I was calm and grateful upon pick up, Neil extended an honest apology for the hassle and reminded me they had my back to keep my safe on the road. I don't expect i will need my transmission to be worked on again anytime soon, YET I know I am in good honest hands when that time comes, whether or not it is still under warranty. read more

They always go by the book price for services and repairs so you know that they aren't trying to pull one over on you. They re up front and honest about what actually needs to be done in the vehicle. And they don't pressure you to in any way, they just give you the information and let you decide. No pressure, and no hassle. It's also nice that they have the national brand name behind them, so they stand on that reputation as well as their own. They also do all of their work in an extremely timely manner. My car had been sitting for months and months and months. We had been looking around for a new repair shop since Deeds is no longer a viable option for us. I requested a quote through Yelp, and got all of my questions answered in a timely manner. Yay for Ashley's quick responses and she was great with getting me set up with an appointment to bring my car in. I knew my battery was beyond dead, and we were seriously lucky to get it zombified enough for it to get a teeny bit of juice on a jump start to get it to AAMCO. We rolled in and Glenn was great with the paperwork and a customer service super star! Since the car had been sitting for so long, they were kind enough to give it a quick once over to check fluids and my brakes. The battery replacement took about 1.5 - 2 hours, and I was back on the road. Definitely a great place for Total Car Care, and I will definitely go back. Side note with Yelp and requesting quotes, when you submit it, Yelp asks if you want to send the same message to other shops in the area. They fit me in the next day and couldn't find an issue -- I guess they see a lot of people come in because Valvoline reported leaks and more often than not, it's just condensation or something else harmless. After that manager told that he is not interested in repairing my car and told me to leave. Very strange rude unfriendly. No respect for customer. I am still upset and disappointed. read more

These guys are amazing. They truly went the extra mile! I brought my car in for a hydraulic replacement when my manual transmission stopped finding gears on my 1985 Pontiac Fiero GT. Unfortunately the team left my fog lights on over the weekend so when I went to pick up my car, the battery was dead. After a jump my battery had stopped taking a charge. Glenn gladly replaced my battery with a brand new one. Wait there's more. The new battery ALSO went dead and I had no idea why. Glenn told me to bring my car in again and they found that I had a trunk light switch installed I had never known about and somehow it was left on. Now I'm not sure if they left it on or I did, but they didn't charge me a dime more than the original price of repairs I originally brought my ride in for. VERY professional. VERY accommodating. Be wary. My jeep had a cylinder misfire and they changed gasket, coil, sparkplugs etc claiming that they know jeeps very well. They did fix my jeep for roughly $4500 overcharging for 11 hours of labor (which I found out later is a very steep and unnecessary overcharge for the work they did). A month later my car had to be towed after a job, because it would start, but would not stay running. I had it towed to aamco again because I thought it may be their negligence and wanted them to fix what they had messed up. They said it was not their fault and gave me a quote estimate for $1800 (guessing what problem might be plus the labor charges and had not even looked inside yet). I had it towed to pacific motor company instead for a second opinion. They used a camera to look at the engine without having to take it apart and they charged $90 for that. They found something and said that AAMCO was absolutely responsible, something had been left in the vehicle and had fallen into the engine! They called AAMCO to let them know, who then offered to pay for the towing back and remedy the situation free of charge. I called and also said i would like them to pay my uber fee and towing TO aamco in addition, since it was their negligence. They said it wasnt considered 'negligence' but they would pay it. I said thank you, I appreciate that, and if I overpay someone 11 hours of labor and they leave something in my engine that damaged my vehicle and inconvenienced my life, then were prepared to charge me another $1800??? I call that professional negligence. Aamco let me leave my car there while I was away 10 days. When I picked up my car and my check, they told me that 'if they had found the item in the engine after they opened it up, they would have told me and fixed it.' I said 'thats nice' and they said they bought a camera now after this situation. I said, 'glad we are all evolving'. They were forced to take responsibility and I do not know if they actually would have if I hadnt gotten that second opinion. They are very nice and very good sales people, but from my experience, they dont seem to have such great service to sell. read more

I brought my 1986 C4 to them because it wouldn't shift, i found out it was a bad transmission i called and i dropped the car off and got it back within 3 days running 10 times than better before !
