They robbed my Freon. I took my work truck to them and I told them ac is not working. I pulled up and told them I took it too a different shop the other shop told me they refilled it but still was blowing hot air and I wanted another opinion, they starting checking it out used a uv light to look around and then connected a ac gauge tool told us too wait cuz he was checking for "leaks " had us wait 15 min I told drive car studio I'll be back the next day because they said they found a leak and I was willing to do that but I had a gut feeling they were lying too me (I know a little about cars but basics I guess) and I was right ...be careful with the white ginger looking guy with a beard and tattoos and some other guy he was talking too in his language super sketchy shop...somebody else fixed that issue compressor needed oil, a cleaning, and of course Freon smh.... read more

When I had an issue and no one wanted to help the boys at Drive Car Studio stepped up and hooked me up. I bought an older Mitsubishi at an auction only to be screwed later since it had a bad trans. I have to write great things about this shop. I bought a 2011 Yukon Denali with 130,000 miles in as-is condition a few months ago from a dealer. I hate car dealers more than anything else on the planet. Hate. Did I say I hate dealers? I do. Anyway, I had it inspected by my own mobile mechanic, and he gave it the green light. The engine "blew up" on me a few months later. Not literally, but it started tapping loudly and knocking severely. Two shops told me it needs a new engine, and maybe it did, but I really wanted to know what was wrong with it so I knew my options - what does it really need? Alex was willing to give me options - not just to diagnose it completely, but once the engine was opened, he gave me more options so I could make an educated choice. He really worked with me every step of the way and provided pictures and written price estimates so I knew what was going on. I appreciated knowing what my dollar spend was going to be before they touched anything so I could approve it. We did a couple what-if scenarios as well so I knew what I was getting into. He ended up discovering that we could not do a repair without an engine rebuild or replacement. So I chose a used engine to be installed. The day after I picked it up I took it on a 450-mile trip and it has been running perfectly. It has been a game changer and I actually like the car now. It appears the mpg may be better than I was getting. And just like his claim on Yelp, he did it at a lower price than another shop I visited. I'm pleased with the thoroughness, the competence, professionalism, personalized attention, and quality of the work. If you aren't happy with any of the mechanics you have used in the past or you need to find a shop that will treat you well (walk you through their process), try this shop.
