BAIT AND SWITCH, RUN. If the only problem with this shop was that they were a bunch of crooked bait-and-switchers when it came to their estimates, that would be more than enough to run from this CROOKED SHOP. For example, I was given an estimate of $1800 told me that would be for labor, and the part should be no more than a couple of hundred dollars. After they took my car, it disappeared for days, and I couldn't reach them to find out what was going on. They finally called me back the day I was supposed to pick it up, with a revised estimate now over $6000. It was the day they were supposed to return my car fixed. refused to call back for days before then. At that point, when I saw the bait and switch that they were pulling, I told them I would no longer talk to them on the telephone, that they now need to text me, and I want my car back. I'm coming to pick it up I will not pay $6000. I would put it towards a new car. They were told this from the beginning. When I went in there first, I left a $ 1,000 deposit so they would save a spot in their queue for my car to be worked on. They took the thousand dollars I didn't hear from them for almost a whole week. Zaki was one of the people that I dealt with, and when I initially came in and left a $1000 deposit, he told me up and down about how their work has a year warranty, a year warranty, a year warranty. He said it over and over and over again. During the three days, we went back and forth in a text thread, which I have documented. They kept trying to push me to pay $6000. I refused. I told him to give me my car back they knew going in. I would never spend more than $3000, and that would be even too much for an old car. It reached the point where they were ignoring me and refusing to return my car, so I threatened to call the police to report it as stolen by them. Now they came back with an estimate of just under $ 3,000 to finish the job, I agreed. Went in to pick up the car a week late and paid the balance. I didn't sign anything. I got a copy of the bill. I left. As soon as I stopped, turned off the car, and went into a store, I came back out- my car was dead. I opened the hood and discovered that many of my plastic parts were broken, ripped off, rather than unscrewed. They lost the bolt to my battery, so they never replaced it and just left the battery connection sitting there, so it didn't stay connected. That's why my car wouldn't start once turned off. Also, not even three weeks later, the engine light came on, and the transmission is once again giving me the same problem and the same codes; they never changed the sensors I asked them to change in the car. Which was the first thing I asked to be done. They were interested in running up a big bill. The transmission that they supposedly fixed was never smooth from the day I picked up the car. It clunked into first gear, which, even when I had problems the first time, it didn't really do. When I called him with these problems, they never called back. They ignored all my phone calls ever since picking up the car to the point that I had to call Amoco corporate. The corporate office is a waste of your time because of the retail shop refuses to cover their warranty. because he's claiming he told me there was no warranty on the work, since it wasn't the $6000 original bait-and-switch job they initially tried to force on me. All Amoco corporate did was slow down the process, so I now have to sue him in small claims court to get my money back. Because Zaki OF LYNBROOK will not refund their bad work, and AAMCO corporate won't do anything to honor the warranty. The only thing that calling corporate does is let them know that their retailer is a crook, which I believe they already knew. They let him lie to them on the phone, and he didn't even have the paperwork to back up his own lies. They knew that, and I knew that, and they still made us wait for weeks while he tried to find things that did not exist. Everything that happens to that retailer for being a CROOK is internal, nothing to do with the client who lost $. Save yourself three months and just go to court. This review is my final step after already filing a small claims case- my first ever. I had a vintage car and I brought it in here for a transmission, and they ripped apart the parts the way they did my car, and damaged the inside pieces of my car the way they did (I can see just so far what's broken on the surface. There is something rocking in the engine block of the car. I'm sure they forgot a few more screws along the way). The people who work in the shop are dishonest. They will say anything to get you to leave your car. He lied to his own corporate people, telling them that paperwork existed. When we all know it didn't exist. He tried to claim he told me verbally after he couldn't find the paperwork showing the warranty no longer covered it, now that it was a $3000 job. Thank God for text messages. THE WORST company to deal with. A friend came to get his water pump done and they did it..... but also blew the computer the ABS module and the throttle body module. He brought his truck in running no problems and he came back learning that the car interior lights wouldn't go on and the truck would not start. They did not know how to TROUBLESHOOT it. They tried to figure it out for a week. My friend had the truck towed with the window down bagged and taped so it wouldn't get snow or rain inside. the other shop told him that it was probably jumped backwards by the other shop and blew all the computers and modules. Costing over $3000 in parts and labor and towing fee's with the other shop that knew what they were doing and got it fixed.... DO NOT COME HERE. My friend came back and he told them the problems to see if they can work something out and THEY DENIED EVERYTHING. They said it was dropped off like that. From only having a water pump changed out. BE CAREFUL WITH THE MECHANICS AND THE MANANGEMENT HERE. THEY ARE UNRELIABLE AND COSTLY..... HE WILL SEE YOU IN COURT.... I wish I can give no stars but Yelp has to have you rate. DO NOT COME HERE. I am his friend and had to hear about this for a month. Especially when he had to use another family members car for the month.... He is getting a lawyer to take them to court! This place dropped the ball on all the little things that make a company on par with proper businesses. No one at the counter when we entered, no bathroom tissue or paper towels in the lavatory, no comprehension of our coupon that they offered in the mail, no change in the till, and the place looks terrible and is falling apart. I had to take this place to court for unlawful business practices and won a settlement after they robbed me of over $3k for claiming they would fix a transmission and instead overcharging and giving me back a car that doesn't run. Their business license is going to be revoked for their lack of payment and they still won't pay me the settlement I am due. They are thieves and liars, do not do business here. My car broke down and my warranty company send me to AAMCO. First they charge 240$ for 2 computer diagnosis test to see what's wrong they said I need to change my battery they charged me 400 but I went to autozone instead and changed it myself. The next day my car broke down again and I sent it back to AAMCO and they charged me another 120$ for a computer diagnosis but didn't find the problem so they just charged me to find nothing and gave me my car back. It's been driving for a day but now it broke down for the third time so I don't think I'll be sending my car back to AAMCO. read more

This place is a ripoff have proof took my van to a Chrysler dealer ship had the completely check my van out before I took it there this shop the first time cost me $5400.00 plus a week later I had to spend $1100.00 to replace my motor mounts. Took over a week to get cost and had my van for more then 2weeks. My transmission broke again 32000 mile only 6 months later I wanted to confirm my suspicious that they were ripping people off I took it to a shop before them flat bed in to this place and flat bed out all the way to Philly to the aamco I always had great service and fast service done correctly. Both Chrysler and 6726 Frankford ave the same thing needing fix and check out to make sure this place did nothing to my van. They wanted to charge me $3700.00 for motor mounts, for them fixing my transmission because they said I drove recklessly that broke the transmission and other things. I told them I would have a flat bed there to pick my van up just put every thing in a box and will have the shop in Philly fix it correctly they fix my transmission without charge and still had it flat bed out to Philly.
