Brian and team had to order a wheel molding in advance to do the cosmetic repair on my car. Their communication was very prompt and professional on timing and duration to have the car. It was returned to me when originally committed, on time. I had daily texts based on the status of the car letting me know where it is in the process (such as QA and detailing). Brian is a man of his word, who honored his price even though the estimate once detailed came out slightly higher. On Feb 7, my wife was involved in a car accident where she was rear ended while stopped at a red light. Luckily nobody was harmed, but our vehicle incurred minor damages to the back bumper that required repair. We chose to have the car repaired at Mid Island Collision, whom I believe to have participated in insurance fraud and is refusing to release my vehicle. The first red flag came when the supervisor at the body shop (Jasmin Khan) was very aggressively trying to get us to sign a document that would allow them to process a no fault payment through our insurance company, Geico, because they stated they paid out much better, had an "outstanding relationship" with the Geico assessor and would receive payment much faster than the insurance of the vehicle who hit our car, Liberty Mutual. We declined to do so and the claim was processed through Libety Mutual. The next red flag came when we received an invoice from Mid Island Collision in the amount of $33,194.04. We found it unfathomable for it to cost $33k to replace a bumper, nearly the entire MSRP of the brand new car which we purchased 9 months prior The car has now been in the shop for 2 months and is fixed, however, the body shop will not release the car to us despite already cashing a check for $33k. They claim there was additional work and parts that were required, totaling ~$2,500, which they have not received payment from Liberty Mutual yet. I have an email confirmation from Liberty Mutual, with the body shop cc'ed, stating that the additional $2,500 check has been approved and is being processed, and the body shop can go ahead and release our car. Yet they refuse to do so. It has now been over 2 months and $35,000 later for a minor bumper damage, yet the body shop will not release my car to me. I believe the body shop to be committing insurance fraud and urge you to AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

Communication was excellent: they notified us via text as the car progressed through the phases of repair, and they were always available on the phone if we had any questions. Workmanship was excellent: bodywork and paint were meticulous, cannot be distinguished from brand-new. I did not get a hold of Jasmine Khan (customer service rep) who handles my claim and Mid Collision , she totally acted as if she can get my car bill to the max without going over any details and never managed to send me the details of my car estimate and repairs until I asked . I received a message 9:39 am stating my car is being details and polish and at mid collision. I go to mid Collision and Larry states my vehicle is not there it's at Mercedes' service center. I go to Mercedes and Anthony confirms my vehicle was sent to mid collision, he called Jasmine Khan cell phone in which she stated yes we have the vehicle. I don't know why Jasmine is being so cunning and not straight forward. She knows I was not able to get a job due to me needing my vehicle . Jasmine also knows how to downplay leaving the office from the back door when I go to the office because she is not comfortable assisting a women of color. I never knew I would experience this amount of unethical behavior in my life. The HR manager , Bunny is also in favor of these routines as she told me she will give me a call from last month and I still have not heard from her . The woman at the front desk is always super friendly and accommodating. Brian the general manager, is super professional and always works hard to take care of me and my car. This business is unprofessional and has no communication network of any sort. As a customer you won't find your rights of knowing the price or what is happening to your car unless you confront them about it. The representatives (not naming them) are very entitled and believes if you ask them something you are being aggressive and victimizes herself. I tried to get some answers about how I can get my car out of the place but they drag the days out for me to pay for storage. I never got to see anyone or talk to their so called boss (adjuster) because they always tell me they are sick or out of office. Emil sent me daily updates of the progress of the work my car was returned to me all sorts of repairs were made above and beyond the original damage. SCAM! UNPROFESSIONAL! STAY AWAY! Would give negative stars if I could. The experience from day 1 until that final day was nothing short of horrible. We took our car in for a deep scratch on the front hood of car. Keep in mind this is a 2020 model. I wouldn't be surprised if they took a hammer to the car because they tried to charge insurance $20,000 (I have the paperwork to prove this, which also included a claim to begin changing our doors for new ones...how is that related to a scratch on the hood?). Upon our arrival on day 1 - Bobby (who was dressed in basketball shorts and a hoodie) felt the need to tell us that he is the "top dog here". Pretty standard for people who feel the need to overcompensate and let you know that they are more important than they really are. It is obvious that his staff barely tolerates him, but they must hate working for him given his attitude, unprofessionalism, and constant profane yelling/berating of them in front of customers. As they say - "the loudest one in the room is the weakest one in the room". Bobby is sloppy, unprofessional, uneducated, and is the epitome of trash. He offered to cover our July lease payment due to the amount of time our car would be in the shop and yet he still till this day has yet to deliver on that. We would get weekly calls from the insurance company threatening to shut off our rental because of the lack of communication and getting answers from Mid-Island, particularly Jasmine Khan. This would be constant follow up on our end and try to connect the dots/relay info we would get. This alone took a ton of time out of our busy schedules to do something that should have been handled by Mid-Island. When our car was finally "ready to be picked up" it was NOT even done. There was a missing emblem (which goes to show that they did some above and beyond damage to the car themselves). All-in-all, I would stay FARRRRR away from this scam of a shop. They charged the other person's insurance almost 12,000$ for what was probably 1,000$ in damage. They almost never get back to you and you have to call a million times to get through to anybody. This place 100% commits insurance fraud. I have no idea how they are still in business. Car got rear ended and they charged the other person's insurance $18k. Right after my accident I went to this shop and spoke with Brian who estimated the repair amount would be $3-4k. Suddenly, when my car is in the shop it's a $18k job. Definitely pay off adjusters in order to commit their insurance fraud. They had my car for nearly a month just to fix a bumper. Picked up my car and a few days later noticed my muffler was completely loose. Took it back to the shop so they can fix it. Completely wasting my time and energy instead of certifying work is done properly. How is it possible that a place that works directly with Mercedes Benz does not certify that work is done properly and they let a customer leave with a loose muffler. Do not go here, they are very dishonest and get very nervous when you start asking them questions. They are also extremely stupid because NOT ONE PERSON in this establishment wears a mask during a global pandemic, so disgusting and dishonorable. Office people work in a room with no windows and nobody is social distanced or wearing a mask. Overall, Brian the manager and his boss are dishonest people and proved they have zero functioning brain cells by putting their entire staff at risk of contracting and spreading a deadly virus. They are also putting Americans at risk with this disgusting and selfish behavior of not following the most basic and simplistic rule of wearing a damn mask during a pandemic. Act very patriotic yet they have no regard for the Americans dying every single day of this virus. I feel bad our health care workers who end up having to care for these people when they end up getting sick because of their own selfish behavior. Horrible experience with Mid Island Collison - Glen Cove. My car was sitting with them for more than two weeks while they didn't even start any work on it. As per the estimate received from Brian (who is a complete arrogant person and the manager) it said the car would be finished in two business days after you drop it at the shop. The only job was to replace a bumper and a headlight for which they took two freakin weeks to finish. On top of that, they are very poor when it comes to communicating with the client. Greg has no clue about what he is doing and never informed me that they had the wrong part at the first place all this while where I was paying for a rental on a daily basis. I ultimately received my car but the amount of time, patience, money and calls that were wasted dealing with them was totally not worth it. They are just a money minting business where they will first ensure that you car will be returned to you on time but once you're out of that place you really have no idea when you'd get your car back. I really had a bad taste with them and would suggest anybody to find someone who can value your time and at the least be courteous with you. Very disappointed with the entire experience! read more

There is ZERO service and ZERO ethics. My car hasn't run right since I picked it up. They took months and rarely updated me. They made car rental arrangements across the street and said it was included in the repair but hit me with a $770 bill after keeping my car for months. I see that a lot of people had an issue with time, and let me start off and say yes it did take my car a little while to get repaired but I have to say it is not because of lazy workers. There were a lot of cars at the location when I went and there is only so much you can do as far as accommodations so I get it. If they were only a few cars then i get it. When we go to popular restaurants on a busy Friday night, we expect and deal with the long wait. I think it is the same thing here. With that out of the way, the people were amazing from the front area representative who offered me a drink and a smile even though i walked in right before closing, all the way to the back office. No one was upset that i was there that late and they were always accommodating. They handled my insurance claim for me, paperwork was easy and painless. To show the extent of service, I actually had to turn around when I got my car because my tire pressure was low and I didn't realize they were closed. I pulled into the front area parking of the shop in order to make a u-turn and trek it home and one of the mechanics who recognized my vehicle came from across the street (he was headed to his car to head home) and got my attention to figure our what was wrong. When he knew I needed air in my tire he walked me all the way down the street to get a mechanic to put air in and then he casually went home as he wished me well. When I went back another day to have the tire checked out, one of the mechanics, AFTER his shift because I can only get there close to closing took my car in with a huge smile on his face and found an insanely small leak and patched it up free of charge. And again with this experience I spoke with everyone at the office and no one made me feel unwelcome by being there late. I get it, we want things as fast as possible but good work takes time people. MY car looked great, smelled great, I got constant smiles and even though I hope I don't have to go back (because t would mean something happened to my car) if I do, I would not hesitate going back. Customer service is everything to me and nothing short of amazing at Mid Island! I hope they never lose that. read more

I had a employee by the name Bunnie working on my case and she took care of the entire insurance process for me. Even after they received payment for the repair, Bunnie didn't leave me hanging. When I told her I was stressed because the insurance company wanted me to pay the car rental fees and then submit the receipt for reimbursement review, she took actions on my behave and she got the insurance company to pay for my rental fee upfront.
