This is an update to my previous review. One of our expensive ($16,000) custom black-framed windows…read morecracked, and we notified Home Depot in February. Nearly four months later, we are still getting excuse after excuse about delays and no resolution, no accountability, and virtually no communication. Wevontacted them again in March and we were told no later than April we would receive a call for installation. No call, so we called again on May 1st. We were provided with an installation date of May 18th. Today they called and said the window has a white casing so they need to change it and they will call back with a new date. LOL. We spent over $65,000 replacing 26 windows (2 custom windows) through Home Depot because the zero-percent financing made the project financially manageable. Unfortunately, once the sale was completed, the customer service completely disappeared. Calls go unanswered, there has been no meaningful response to escalations, and nobody seems willing to take ownership of the issue. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever dealt with. The 6 month delay in getting the windows installed and the recent issue solidifies that I would rather pay more from a reputable company than deal with them. The complete lack of follow-through from after we ordered the windows to end has been beyond frustrating. The sales rep (Gwen) was initially responsive with all the delays then she fell off the face of the earth. No one responded to my escalated complaints (6-7 month) of delays. No response to the BBB either. I would strongly caution others before making a major purchase through Home Depot for windows. If they were 50% cheaper I would still go elsewhere because it was not worth the delays and frustration. They get a negative 5 rating.

While I was there, I also grabbed some of the detox juice shots that I love, plus a few other essentials and items for my son. It was a super quick trip, and the location is just really convenient. They have a self-checkout available, but today I actually went through a regular register line. There were no long lines at all, and I was in and out of there in no time.

Due to the water damage, I had a mix of restoration companies and general contractors. The restoration companies were far out of our budget because they go through a very lengthy process to remediate any mold. What I appreciated about JRD construction is they were not only affordable in their estimate but fair, honest, and flexible. I had some reservations about not going with a restoration company but Voss and his team assured me that if they found mold or more extensive water damage they could take the necessary steps to remediate it. They even brought a hepa filtration system as I wanted to take precautions with possible mold as they removed drywall. They checked in with us along the way and assured us there was no visible mold. To be cautious once they completed the project they put some mold killer on the wood in our attic that would be very costly to remove. They did great work and matched our ceiling texture really close. They even took care to put up and take down a protection barrier daily as we needed to get into our bedroom which was blocked by the work. I definitely recommend this company for remodeling or construction projects.

Voss and his team repaired some extensive water damage for us last year. Unexpected damage was revealed after walls were opened up, which resulted in a longer completion time but all the work ended up finished. After another stormy season things seem to be holding up well. Also worth mentioning Voss helped us understand what we might need for filing an insurance claim and worked with our insurance company to get at least some of the damage reimbursed.

There's also an olive oil and vinegar tasting room and a separate gift shop all in this wonderful warehouse setting. My friend bought 2 oils costing $40.00 . But they were exquisite, beautiful and flavorful and unique tasting. Yum. High hand also has a venue for weddings and I believe a brewery. It's mind blowing ! Serious gardeners must visit there. It was super convenient, not even five minutes from my house! We were the only customers when we came. I mean, mattress shopping has to be my least favorite pastime. Rick was our sales guy. He didn't really have much to do as far as sell. We knew what we wanted, we were a pretty easy sale. We wanted an adjustable queen size bed. We picked out a bed, picked frame, picked mattress cover, and sheets. We are converting our office downstairs to a bedroom and the Queen was perfect. After we set up financing, Rick set up delivery for Sunday, five days away. He told us the delivery people would call the day before. That day came and they said it was on order and maybe Tuesday? Monday came and they called and said maybe Thursday? Well, at first Rick said they were waiting for the frame, then a female sales lady said they were waiting for the mattress? It was so frustrating, I couldn't get a definite answer? After waiting patiently for almost two weeks, we had enough! We told them to forget the sale and we cancelled! We actually found an even better bed thru Amazon! Yeah it was disappointing experience, and we really would've been happy to support this franchise. So far, I have been extremely happy with Heaven's Gate Pet Memorial Center. The young man that…read morehelped me I believe his name was, Jason was so kind. I am now waiting to get the ashes back from my precious cat, Winchester. I loved that there was no hard sale. He showed me what they had to offer and when I said I had just had to get a new roof on my house and was having to rebuild my savings. He never said another word. Some people would just keep pushing for a sale, but Jason was very understanding he just nodded his head. When I was getting ready to leave, I had my cat covered because I couldn't look at him that way anymore, but I put my hand on the towel that had covered him and then a kiss. I told him I loved him. Jason then came over and gave me a hug and then I cried even more. That gesture met so much to me. And their prices were so much more reasonable than other places and I'm retired and on a fixed income, so this was also a big help. Now I just have to go back and pick up his ashes and that's going to be just as hard I think as leaving him there in the first place. I did decide to spend a little extra money and get his paw prints. He was a special boy and now I'm crying again as I write this. Thank you for taking such good care of me and I know my boy was handled with compassion and kindness.
