We stayed here to de-program the kids after subjecting them to 9 nights camping, hiking and pooping in bags. We were very pleasantly surprised as it is a very nice hotel for the money. Our room had 2 queen beds and was $125/night. The hotel is in a U-Shape with the center a pool and garden. There are grills there and a separate grilling pavilion closer to the river with nice sunset views of the cliffs and canyons to the west. BBQ utensils (and gas) are provided and we used them every night. Kids were ready for steak and burgers. Hot tub is inside, linked to the pool by a garage door. I'd love to have a hot tub closer to the river to enjoy the stars with the night sounds. Breakfast was good, wide selection of things to eat, lots of kids and social folk at breakfast. Coffee was Utah-Standard but everything else was good. read more

Let me start off by saying that I don't frequent independent (non-affiliated) hotel, because I never know what to expect from a property that doesn't have to adhere to the brand standards of their franchise agreement or owner. Fortunately for me, the Marriott/Hilton/Wyndham/Choice hotels were sold out during my stay in Moab and we wound up booking at the Aarchway Inn. The property is located just north of downtown Moab, very close to the Colorado River and only three miles from the main entrance to Arches Natl Park. The property is a solid three-star hotel -- with updated and clean rooms, well-maintained common areas, friendly staff and a terrific free hot breakfast with something for everyone (fresh pancakes, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, sausage patties, tortillas, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal, cold cereals, etc.). Our room was clean, quiet, cool, and easy to get to from the parking lot. If the national parks haven't tired you out, the property features a pool and spa, an area to grill and picnic, and a children's playground. Thanks, again, for a great stay! read more

Coming here in the offseason was definitely worth the trip. For $59 a night we received a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, very spacious and immaculately kept rooms with marble showers, mini fridge, and a complimentary breakfast that included biscuits and gravy, ham and cheese burritos, hashbrowns, sausage, bacon, French toast, pancakes and fresh fruit. What a great place! Our room was beautiful and so well appointed with a fridge and microwave. The beds are so comfortable! But the big winner was breakfast. At check in the kind staff person said "and continental breakfast is served from 6a-10a"...this NOT a typical hotel breakfast. This is a full, hot breakfast including pancakes, biscuits and gravy, waffles, eggs , Hashbrown, sausage...and more! The owners of this property must be thoughtful as I was walking around outside taking in sunset and noticed a beautiful small dog park area, a garden with signs letting you know they care about bees, an outdoor picnic/pavilion area and even a couple of gas grills for guests to use. There is a beautiful pool, hot tub and spray pad. This place is great for single adventurers and families alike. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try!! read more

Didn't love it; didn't hate it. It was a nice clean bed, and after driving four hours on a Sunday afternoon, I was willing to pay $150 for a place to crash for an hour. And after sleeping on the hard deck of a houseboat two nights in a row, this place provided a much needed good night's sleep. The breakfast, however, was terrible. Bacon was overcooked, biscuits were dry, and they were out of cranberry juice. But then again, I never expect much from breakfast at a motel. read more

I feel ripped off. $366 reserved months ago for great looking hotel (on website! schmuck) national park tour, best they could do is by the elevator overlooking the pool, after front desk promised "not by the elevator and not overlooking the pool." Looked up hotels I like in LA, 4 star way cheaper tonight than this. No restaurant but hotel van to and from town was quick and easy. $366 and no restaurant? "Free" breakfast though.. Curious decor, prehistoric indian oak meets national park seasons, with deluxe in wall air conditioner. Special privilege bicycle crowd chased me out of their "reserved" parking, big shoulder shrug from front desk. $366 for a roadside motel. Never again here. read more

This was a great stay for an affordable price. We loved the basketball hoop, playground and option to build a fire each night. Being able to build a bonfire and just enjoy in the cold weather was awesome. The breakfast was hot, which is rare in COVID days. Would definitely return! read more

Considering it only costed $39.99 / night (special), in January I could not have asked for better bargin; Compare the quality of the room and amenities which rivals over $100 / night in the East Bay SF area. After 20 degrees outdoor temp bike rides, the hot tub (see pic) was heavenly. Staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend this place. 4 stars because I have not tried other motels near vicinities. read more

Still serving their ample hot breakfast! We just had a great getaway to Moab and this hotel, which is very inexpensive in winter. We felt completely safe everywhere. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, with very comfortable beds and the property wide amenities are wonderful. We had the hottub all to ourselves--with it's indoor/outdoor feature. Hotel is well below the road, so there's no traffic noise. And, our personal favorite--the campfire ring out back with stacked cedar firewood and kindling. The only saving grace is the Gentleman at the front desk who is very friendly. Noisy, noisy noisy. Moved to a new room. Strong smell of scents, not sure if it's oils or strong cleaner but with asthma it's hard to tolerate. First room the bed has a pubic hair. UGH. Really wouldn't stay at again and wouldn't suggest anyone staying here. If you have kids, maybe you can get past all of that because they have a huge bouncy house in the lobby!!! About 5 channels and the rest are pay to see. TV in corner of room. Just not a great place. Stay next door at the "Name Brand" you will know what you get. read more

Just spent 2 nights here for the first time with my wife and two young boys. The staff were great, the room was very updated and super clean. VERY VERY kid friendly: awesome pool, playground and basketball court on the property. The basketball court backboards can easily be lowered so even a 3-year old can reach the rim! Great location in the North part of town close to Arches. Close enough to "downtown" restaurants. The only negative was the quality of the free breakfast, but I hesitate to even mention because it was free! read more

This was our first time staying at the Archway. The staff was very pleasant to work with and eager to help us in the tourist town of nice places to eat. The room was clean a little outdated but it was clean. You could tell they took pride in the establishment and we're always willing to help with your needs. One gal stood at the counter for 15 minutes asking them to order her a pizza from Pizza Hut LOL I believe his name is Michael I have a bigger dude. He was very helpful very patient and did not seem to be bothered and anyway when people were in line to check yet he still offered all the help and even making the phone calls for her. We will return here again next year to visit read more

Definitely the best place we've stayed in Moab. Great pool, clean rooms and very competitive rates for the area. Kelsie at the desk is all about customer service. The exact opposite of what we found several weeks ago at the Moab Valley Inn. Also very good breakfast. Sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, fruit in addition to all the other stuff you'd find at a cheap continental breakfast. Music at the pool would be the cherry on top! Upon arrival the lady at the front desk was friendly and checked us in quickly. Once we got to our room, a lot of the furnishings looked pretty worn down, but it was all a part of that rustic feel! But then, we got to the bed. The bed was filthy. The comforter was covered in crusty white stains! Wtf! We obviously decided to switch rooms. Once we switched, the man at the front desk put us in a much smaller room, and there was dog fur on one of our new beds. My husband picked off the few pieces of fur, but I was done. I'm hoping we just caught the aarchway in on an off day, but from our experience, I would not be able to recommend it. read more

Clean and generic. The free breakfast was good with a lot of selection. And that's the best I can say so far. Except for one girl, the front desk people were unfriendly. Upon arrival it seemed the whole staff was outside the front door smoking (Utah law requires a distance of at least 25 feet, they were 8 feet away). Had to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke to get into the lobby. The free WI-Fi is non-existent. We were not there as tourists but on business. Had to stay in the lobby for hours on end to get work done rather than in the privacy of my room. Be aware that this place is located next to wetlands and the mosquitos can be intollerable. This place is overpriced at $170/night when there are so many other motels in town. read more

Location good if you don't want to be in the town, it's just outside and closer to the Arches entrance. The room is very nice, comfy bed, plenty of pillows; shower has good pressure, etc. Hot tub and an outdoor pool, both appreciated after a day of hiking! The hot breakfast is fantastic - great sausage, not chintzy nothings but large and tasty. Bacon perfectly cooked, pancake making machine, 2 kinds of scrambled eggs and lots of other sides (potatoes, yogurt, cereal, muffins etc. good fuel for hiking! read more

Excellent choice...right at the base of the mountains at the far edge of town, closest to Arches National Park. Very conscientious caring staff, nice clean rooms, spacious, with good breakfasts. Only negative is that they allow dogs in the guest rooms? And it can be quite loud and noisy with them barking all the time. However, we weren't bothered by it until the weekend, when it and the breakfast got very crowded. We would stay here again. read more

OH aarchway, how I wish your prices were lower .. I truly enjoyed my stay here. Large clean room. Super pool with plenty of lounging space. Wonderful area behind the hotel with trees , tables , barbecue , and basketball court. Now the best part: the best hotel breakfast ever.. Everything you could imagine yet better, plus if Ladonna is working you may get lucky and get the privilege of enjoying her homemade salsa which is awesome .. I want to say I would stay here again because I truly like this hotel, buuuuut the price may just keep me away :( read more

Not what I expected, in a good way. First I will start with the negative because I like ending on a positive note. It is a little weird how the rooms are situated you go up a flight of stairs walk down a hallway and then go down a flight walk down a hallway? Weird! It is a little maze like and dated. Laundry room is cramped and doors open into one another, but hey they have one!With that said the staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, nice workout room, park like setting and playground in back for kids to play. Great pool and hot tub, kids splash fountain,basketball courts, picnic tables, and grilling area. The coffee shop is nice before heading out early to arches park or lions gate. Bring bug spray, sunblock and a camera and get ready for a great time with the entire family. read more

I would definitly stay again, but they lost a star because of the price. Ouch! VERY nice room. Very nice people. The breakfast...no hotel out there comes close! The only thing frustrating was that the guest laundry has only 2 washer/dryer sets. Moab is a 'base' for a lot of outdoorsy people, and a lot of people staying there seemed to be just like me...been camping/backpacking/climbing/whatever, and splurging on a night in a hotel mid-trip to get cleaned up. Having so few washers for a big place full of us outdoor warrior types was very frustrating, & we ended up hand washing some things in the sink. Wi Fi was also CRAZY slow. read more

Very pleasantly surprised by this off-season bargain. Comfortable and clean rooms with a warm pool on a cool night. Hot tub jets lack force and heard quite a bit of noisy door slamming, but very pleased with the room quality and comfortable bed. Staff were very attentive and great about getting kids to quiet down when they got too noisy. This hotel bills itself as a Luxury Destination Resort. It is not. In fact it is an overpriced ($319 per night for a king size bed with paper cups, a noisy fridge we had. To disconnect,cafeteria style breakfasts and indifferent, jejeune customer service. I've stayed here twice only because this is the best Moab has to offer. Fabulous Inn & Hot Breakfast! During family ski vacation in Vail and Salt Lake, we stopped by Arches National Park and stayed in Archway Inn. Very clean room with linen scent and quite fan & heater, solid and comfort bed, and reasonable cost! Best of all, Hearty & Hot breakfast was surprisingly great especially in cold weather. Decent place. Full breakfast included...a bit salty and I'm not sure the eggs are real but hey...it's free! Only a few hundred yards from Courthouse wash petroglyphs. Great place to stay for the off season rate of 59 for a king bed, a queen bed, sofa, fridge, & microwave! The room was huge & very clean. The place had so many amenities! Basketball, bbq, play areas for kids, & the heated pool & hot tub which we took full advantage of after long hikes. The free breakfast was good with great hot options of bacon, sausages, ham & cheese burritos, biscuits & gravy. Great location in between town & the arches. We had a great stay! It's not a fancy shmancy hotel or anything, a simple hotel to lay your head for a good nights sleep after a long day of hiking. This place is definitely great for families with lil ones.
