Bone Voyage Pet Resort - Kelso

Bone Voyage Pet Resort

The staff (Particulary Jody) is amazing! Very responsive to inquiries and quite friendly…read more My dogs love attending doggy day care at Bone Voyage. They get excited, their tails wagging, and vocal as we pull into the parking lot. I highly recommend Bone Voyage whether you're seeking a doggy daycare visit or overnight accommodations. Great service all around.

At $35 tops a day for boarding, I feel like it's a pretty good deal. They utterly fail at…read morecommunication though. When setting up boarding, I followed online steps to generate an estimate only to be told by automation that they didn't give estimates. Prepare for things like that to just happen. Good luck getting them to answer the phone. I tried putting my dog in daycare for a couple days so she could feel the place out before her stay and I kept getting brick-walled. They never, within 45 days, had an opening. I was told they were getting such a demand that they have to turn away regulars. When you set up a profile, you fill in important info about this and that. It's mostly easy. I did so, preparing for a getaway about a month and a half later. My puppy Angel wasn't spayed at the time. By the check-in date, she was spayed. I took her to the facility, signed her up, provided a bag of food I bought, and went on my trip. The website says they'll send you pics of your dog in activity. Two days into my vacation, no pics. I called, no answer, so I left a message. I was eventually texted back with them saying I hadn't signed up for it. Okay, my fault. Keep in mind, you have to sign up for this. Then I found out she wasn't playing with the other dogs because they had assumed she wasn't spayed. Again, I had no idea about this, but you have to take it upon yourself to update ALL information in the profile, as the staff operate off that. So...after finally getting someone on the phone, I had the profile updated and Angel was clear to play with other dogs. The pics they sent me were 4 blurry, hastily taken photos of Angel and another dog in the lobby. Nothing of her taking action in the play area or anything. And no photos of her playing the next day. While the woman who contacted me was great and literally went above and beyond in trying to please, the results weren't satisfactory. It's a good place - don't get me wrong. But they tell you almost nothing, the website features seem neglected, the pics weren't good and communication is tough to come by. A.

The last two times we've taken our dogs here for boarding they got sick and required medication…read more Both times we were not called or updated that they had become sick during their stay. We use the ranch as our backup boarding when our first choice is booked. We board them quite often and they NEVER get sick at the other place! Do I have to pay extra for them to call me when the pets become sick?! Seems like it...

Dr bauer recorded our appt without my knowledge or consent. I only noticed it because I saw her…read morephone recording. When I was obviously uncomfortable, her only response was that yes, she's recording and she doesn't need my permission! This pattern of her not caring about my needs would repeat in my appointment. I was very obviously not wanting that, but I had to ask her multiple times and she never even apologized. Recording people like she did and not stopping the 1st time is definitely crossing the line. Says everything about how much she cares about your needs, which reflects on how she'll care for pets. They did not ask my permission to pin my dog down on the table. He's very gentle and I didn't want him down there longer than he needed to be. They didn't listen to me beforehand when I told them that he doesn't like it. Instead of being Sorry they got angry at me and Dr. Bauer seemed to do a tit for tat thing in her head where she started complaining about the fact that my dog was on the examination table at all. She literally got angry at me because he was on the examination table. I have never in my entire life had a veterinarian behave this way. I even tried to smooth things over by apologizing and they still continued to be extremely rude. It wasn't a sincere apology, but I still said it kindly I just wanted them to be nice to my dog. What a nightmare. Furthermore, every single opinion I stated or response to any of their suggestions that indicated I was thinking for myself was met with criticism and disapproval, if not outright shaming and complaining. There was one time that her assistant was in the room alone with me and she got into this really Petty power struggle with me, because I said I can't control my pet 100% of the time which is just a fact. She then snitched on me to Dr. Bauer who proceeded to try and micromanage me in a different way. These people are just about control and ego imo. At the end, as we were wrapping up I was trying to explain something and she yelled at me, STOP!! Like a nazi. She rudely interrupted me and then had the nerve to say she wanted to talk. So she wants to talk but not listen? Even more shockingly, on the way out I said listen just don't hate me. Okay, please? Think anyone who is kind would have said something like of course not. I was truly amazed when all she said was "kay" as she walked out the door without a handshake or even a smile. Wow If you want to place that respects your opinion and values and active participant in caring about their dog, this is not the place. She is one of the worst and meanest vets I have ever encountered and she has absolutely no response for anyone but herself in my opinion. They also emailed me to tell me that they didn't want me as a patient anymore. Frankly, I was never planning to come back so I was relieved and of course not surprised by their ongoing rudeness and lack of respect.

I paid extra for a camera suite for my dog's stay from Nov 26-30, and the only reason I knew what…read morewas actually happening with her is because I watched the camera like a hawk. I later learned they do not provide report cards for boarding, only daycare -- meaning unless you constantly chase information, you are left completely in the dark about your pet. I discovered my dog had vomited only because I saw her blanket disappear on camera and called to ask why. I was told it was being washed and would be returned shortly. It never was. The next morning (pickup day), I was told she had soft stool. Later that same day, when I called again because my emergency contact had to pick her up due to their absurdly restrictive 4-5 PM pickup window, I was finally told the full truth: she had missed multiple meals, was barely eating, then throwing up, and had diarrhea. I was also told they only notify owners after three missed meals. So to be crystal clear: my dog was vomiting, not eating normally, and had diarrhea, and neither I nor my emergency contact were notified in real time. I was denied the chance to make informed medical decisions for my own pet. If I had known sooner, I would have pulled her immediately for veterinary care. She has been boarded elsewhere multiple times and has never experienced anything like this. She came home with ongoing diarrhea, extreme anxiety, and was clearly traumatized. She smelled bad, and her bottom was not clean. On top of the health issues, her toys were missing, her medication was not returned at pickup, and I now have to go back for her belongings. Every time I called, staff had to "check her chart" and put me on hold, and it never felt like anyone actually knew or was truly monitoring my dog. The front desk was rude and dismissive at drop-off, and I was given zero reassurance that my dog was in caring hands. I do not believe my dog was in immediate physical danger -- but she was absolutely emotionally neglected, and the failure to communicate active illness is completely unacceptable. I have cancelled her Christmas stay and will never return. This facility may look nice on the surface. What it lacks is real-time medical judgment, transparency, and basic accountability. I would never recommend allowing your dog to stay in a room without a camera here, because without one, you truly have no way of knowing what is happening or what isn't being communicated. Based on my experience, transparency only existed because I had visual access and kept pushing for answers. I trusted this facility to protect and communicate about my dog without me having to play detective, and that trust was completely broken.

Not only that, this company is like the Spirit Airlines of "Pet Resorts" You have to pay for people to even pay attention to your pet! Literally have videos of like 30ish dogs just running around and the Human is not showing any affection or any kind of socialization with any of them! Maybe the staff is just young but I definitely need to schedule a vet visit now! I couldn't get a report, or know anything about how my puppy was doing?? How do I even know I got what I paid for? I had to pay extra, it seems just to make sure my puppy didn't use the restroom in her crate (which is basically what they are kept in!). Essentially 2 hots and a cot literally. You are nickel and dimed. They wouldn't even let me say bye as we dropped her off! Granted this was a last resort and last minute thing but NEVER AGAIN! Should be called "Suite Paws Last Resort!" The young girl at the front told me they did give reports (which we didn't get) but the mean lady beside her said they didn't. Which is it?

We had to emergently cancel a reservation and we're informed we would be "generously" charged 50% of the total fee because we cancelled within 14 days of a holiday (Easter). The cancellation policy on their web page states the high season is between Memorial Day and Labor Day, and cancellation within 14 days will result in a 50% charge of the total boarding fee. All other holidays, including Easter, are subject to keeping the deposit, which could be used for future services. I think this is a fair cancellation policy, but I was not offered this option. When I challenged the manager on violating their own policy, I was offered was 25% of the total boarding fee, which amounts to $190, not the deposit we paid, which was $0. I am very disappointed in their deceptive business practices and violating their own policy. I will dispute the credit card charge and fight to get every dollar back. Also, I caution anyone who is considering Green Beagle Lodge to carefully reconsider and find another, more reputable place to board your pet.

One medication is required daily and was provided in an unopened box and the box was returned to me unopened - I didn't notice this until I got home. The other medication was as needed for anxiety and no pills were taken so i don't know if they were monitoring her anxiety properly - I doubt it While fortunately my dog was ok, another animal could have been killed if they miss their medication. I paid Green Beagle Lodge $65 dollars a night to take care of my dog's basic needs and they failed at this simple task. I did talk to a manager, she seemed sympathetic and did confirm both of the medications were logged in the system. She said she they were going to perform an "investigation" and call me back the next day, but they never did.
