It's been a while since I've been to Aardwolf, but it's just as great as I remember it! I love the exposed brick interior, comfy large booths, and huge selection of beers. The Weizenwolf is my current new fav beer! I crushed a couple on draft and the to-go cans were also just as tasty. To me its the perfect beer- full body flavor but light and refreshing. Man I could go for one right now as I write this...

Still hits every time I come here. I love the outdoor area (outside of summer) and the beer is always delicious. I had their Hazy IPA this go around and it was fantastic. Always love doing a pitstop here because it never disappoints

A cool brewery in Jacksonville. Got to visit this spot for a friend's wedding rehearsal dinner. They had a private space in the back that they had tables set up and were able to bring in food to feed everyone. We were able to order drinks at the bar and put it on the tab for the back room. We got to try some of their beers including the hazy IPA (always a fav of mine) and "the lightest beer ya got" which was actually a high percentage. Both were so good! The setup of the brewery is really nice with some seating outside and a lot of seating inside, as well. I loved how pet friendly this brewery was with all the doggos around. The service was fast and friendly. Loved coming here to help celebrate our friends before their big day!

Amazing space and would be so fun on a summer night outside with a large patio area and pool inside. Dark and dive-y on the inside gives the brewery the ominous vibes the name portrays. I got a flight with 2 pilot beers - lemon lime sour and creamsicle IPA and the Jax water and the hazy ipa. The best out of the 4 was the lemon lime sour. The rest had a weird aftertaste, but understandable with the flavorings. I purchased a 4pk and didn't see a canning date- unsure if it was old or a bad batch but there was zero carbonation, very yeasty and fell very flat. I ended up throwing away 3 of the 4. I'd go for the drafts but would be wary of the cans

First off, they do have a parking lot in back, otherwise you can street park. The entrance was tricky to find, but it was dark and raining. This was one of my favorite breweries in the area, both due to the beers as well as the vibe. While they do have TVs, it is more of an intimate setting, but there's also tables for larger groups.

    A very good ESB

Nothing bad to say on this visit. It's been over 5 years since my first and only other time here. I came today specifically for the Pride ESB, with $1 of each pint going to Equality Florida - First Coast Community to kick off Pride month. Way to go guys! The ESB is a great version of this style. You rarely find a brewery making this, so if it's available, give it a shot. The Hop Oddity was a very good, if light, West Coast IPA. They nailed the hoppiness pretty well. On my previous visit, I noted that the sours and darks were the strength here. It appears that hasn't changed. I think this place deserves a visit regardless of your taste in beer. And if you're here when the Chancho King food truck is on premise, you have to try the Choripan. Simply divine

Aardwolf Brewing has been around for a while and is one of our favorite local breweries. We come here every so often to check out their seasonal brews and the fun themes that they decorate the main area. There isn't really a set schedule of when they redecorate but they always announce when they re-theme the area on social media. The staff is always nice and welcoming. They have a nice a variety of brews such as tasty IPA and some very good stouts along with a variety of sours and non-alcoholic beverages. There's a large game room in the back along with 2 other rooms for small gatherings. The only complaint I have is that the rooms, other than the main room, tend to be echo-y so it's hard to have a private conversation. I would definitely recommend visiting this brewery and ordering a flight to sample what they have to offer.

The brewmaster here certainly knows what they're doing! First visit, and I ordered a flight so that I could sample some of their creations. They had a nine year release, the Wallonian Waffle, that was crazy awesome, high octane, and slightly sweet with the essence of blueberries and maple syrup. Also, really enjoyed their Belgian Dubbel and WC IPA. This brewery sits right next to the railroad tracks, has a limited amount of gravel parking space, and has both inside capacity and a small outside area. No food, but a food truck available depending on the night. Directly across the street there is also a Mexican restaurant, Panera, bread, and an ice cream parlor.

Awesome brewery, great location, massive menu of craft brews...oh, and our bartender Diana is amazing! "Service with a smile"! Have to hit this place when in JAX. Worth the two (2) hour drive from Daytona Beach!

We'd been here before but only once prior to a Michael Jackson event at Painting With A Twist nearby. First, let me say that I made my beer choice on name alone. It ended up being a great sour red though, so I'm not mad at it. Humor goes a long way with me though, so even if it wasn't great I would've dealt with it on name alone: Cherry Busey! We only hung out for a little bit (again, we need to get home for dinner) but it would he very easy to stay for longer. You can see from the photos that they have a ton...and I mean a ton of craft beers. In addition to that, they have a big room with lots of room to kick back. Our night was delayed shortly when my wife decided to take on one of those wooden barrel puzzle. You can see her dismay in the picture of us! We both took a crack at it for a while and never did solve it, but we eventually decided we needed to let it go. You win this time wooden barrel puzzle! One other thing to note is that there's parking behind it. So if you decide to go there, don't be intimidated by what looks like street only parking. Go around behind the place and you'll be all set.

Most who know me know that I am a craft beer aficionado and many (and I mean, MANY) of the craft beers that I've enjoyed are bought from or enjoyed within the confines of Beer:30. I love a great brewery as much as the next person, but as someone who loves to try out new and different beers that are not located in North Florida, the local bottleshops are my usual place to go. Beer:30's staff works incredibly hard to have a wide swath of options for any craft beer drinker. I am someone who enjoys all kinds of different beer, but who usually opts for something on the sour side of the house. Luckily, there's usually something in the fridge or on tap that fits the bill. Not to mention, how many prestigious selections from near opposite sides of the country that they are able to obtain through their distributors. Another great thing about bottleshops is that you can put together a mix-and-match 4-pack or 6-pack to take home with you. You can even get just one or two if you don't necessarily want an entire 6-pack. I will forewarn folks that some of the cans may seem a bit pricy, but it's the unfortunate side of the brew scene as a whole with the cost of aluminum and ingredients consistently going up. Beer:30's ownership changed hands not too long ago, but what I've appreciated in that changeover is the quality events and promotions. There's a silent reading hour every Tuesday, they are starting to host Diana Testa and her Italian Cooking Lessons, different fundraisers for local nonprofits, as well as beer collabs with local breweries. They've been hosting all sorts of cool arts and craft workshops, plant swaps, Beer:30 Day (on the 30th of the month), tap takeovers, and beer pairings (that Sundae Fundae with Left Hand Brewing & Mayday Ice Cream has been my fave so far). As always, Beer:30's anniversary parties are a can't miss! Due to my work schedule, there's been quite a few that I haven't been able to take part in, but I'm so happy to see their success.

My friend ordered us the Pork Belly Kimchi Fries, I got us an order of the Cheese Curds, and for my entree I got an order of the Asian Sticky Wings. I probably would have never ordered the kimchi fries on my own. Sometimes kimchi can be fickle and really hit or miss. It was definitely a hit here. More on the sweet and tangy side but worked really well. Fries seasoned perfectly, and the pork belly cubed and cooked to perfection. Out of all of the times I've been to Wicked Barley, these fries have to be one of the best items I've had from there. Cheese curds were pretty basic. Tasted great, but nothing to write home about. If you like Cheese curds, you'll enjoy theirs. I originally had my eye on the jerk chicken wings and I was warned by the waitress and my friend that they are REALLY hot. Jerk chicken is generally one of those thats right on the borderline of too hot for me. To give you an idea, if you're familiar with Butthutt BBQ's jerk chicken, theirs is as far as I can go for spice level. So I switched it up to be safe, and I am glad I did. Sweet and sticky, these had really great flavor inside and out. Would definitely get these again in the future. Brought a couple home to the hubby and he seemed to enjoy them too, and he normally doesn't like, what he refers to as, "sweet meat". I had three different beers in my favorite tasting style, sour. I had the PB&J sour, the mango sour, and the orange cream sour. The orange cream was my favorite of the 3. We enjoyed the sounds of the band Splittone in the background and enjoyed the whole vibe of our meal. I'm hoping to visit again on a future weekend and possibly bringing one of my pups along with me since they are dog friendly.

Think bar snacks -- pre-packaged pretzels (we had the bacon-flavored ones, tasty but probably something you could grab at Publix). Would've loved some fresh food or food truck action. We came out specifically to support a local cat rescue event, which was awesome. Major props to the brewery for partnering with the volunteers and even offering to help promote adoption efforts to their regulars. You can tell they care about their community. There's also a side area with extra seating and a bunch of board games -- most are donated, some missing pieces, but still a fun, low-key vibe. Makes a nice third space to hang with friends and kill a few hours.
