(Two other repair outfits didn't want to deal with it.) The two repairmen were pleasant and easy to talk with. The price was very reasonable. An update: an hour after the crew left I got a call from Jim O'Conner saying they undercharged me. Should have been charged an extra $120 because they had two men on the job ! I paid. But this is very poor form and unprofessional. Downgrade to 4 stars.

Recently, I helped my elderly mother replace the garage door at her home. Unfortunately, the…read moreprocurement process was marked by repeated communication issues, missed callbacks, lost follow-ups, and general lack of coordination. Most of the issues occurred during the procurement phase, but on the day of installation one final communication failure erased my remaining confidence in their operation, resulting in an installation day that will not soon be forgotten. Because I was working during the installation, I planned to stop by afterward to inspect the work. On the morning of the installation a scheduling issue arose which, combined with the earlier procurement problems, eroded my remaining confidence in this installer. As a result, I asked my mother not to make the final payment until I could personally inspect the work later that afternoon. Shortly after installation finished, I received an angry call from the owner about the apparent delay in payment, ironically one of the few prompt calls I received during the two-month process. He seemed unaware of the series of issues that had led to my hesitation. While his tone softened somewhat once I explained the situation, he still insisted on immediate payment rather than waiting a few hours until the end of my workday. One statement stood out among the rest: "If I had known there were issues, I would have scheduled this completely differently." To me, this suggested that this contractor only adjusts their level of care after problems have already occurred, rather than proactively ensuring a smooth experience from the start. As a compromise, I asked them to send photos of the completed installation and we would pay immediately. The photos revealed a very obvious installation issue, confirming my hesitation to pay without inspection. After I pointed it out, the installer promptly called to say they were returning to correct it. At that point, with tensions rising and rework underway, I left work early to inspect the installation myself so I could complete payment and avoid escalating the situation further. In the end, we are happy with the finished door, though the process to get there was much shakier than expected. To Jim O'Connor's credit, he did call afterward to sincerely apologize and offer to make things right. Perhaps this was a one-off experience with an otherwise solid company. That said, based on this experience, I will likely consider other garage door companies the next time we need service. This caution is also reinforced by some questionable payment demands described by other customers in these reviews. Note: A week after writing my initial review, and after reflecting further on the timeline of events, I decided to lower my overall score and revise the review to reflect the experience more accurately. Initially I attempted to temper my comments to offset the frustration of the moment, but with time it has only become clearer to me that this installer has operational issues that many customers would be wise to avoid.

All the do- it- yourself usual fixes failed. I called Robert Garage Door. The woman who answered the call explained the process, indicated there was no cost for an evaluation and gave me window time frames that a technician would be available. I asked for an evaluation. Within that given time frame, a technician, Nick, called to advise me that he would be arriving in 15 minutes. Nick was personable and professional. He explained the issue that was occurring with my garage door, recommended a solution, and advised me of the cost of the solution. In response to my question, he gave me an estimate of the time required to complete the repairs. In spite of the fact that Nick was working in a hot garage on a day when the heat index was over 100 degrees, he stayed focused and completed the job with his time estimate and for the fee quoted. I respect that man's tenacity and work ethic. Nick was also good at answering my questions about maintaining my garage door. There is nothing good about having a garage door that malfunctions. But once my garage door was broken, dealing with the personnel at Robert's Garage Doors made getting back to normal life as easy as possible. Based on my experience today, I highly recommend this company.

They'd reached out to me offering a maintenance deal to come and do a tune up. It had been a couple of years since my last service so I made an appointment. Their customer service team is great about scheduling around my availability, then sending confirmations about my appointment. Nino, my technician today, called when he was half an hour away to let me know he was on the way. After doing the maintenance, he found a couple of issues that were due to wear and tear and could become problems in the not too distant future, so we were able to get those done today instead of waiting until I find myself stuck in the garage unable to get out. I appreciated how well Nino explained my options and went out of his way to make sure that I felt comfortable with the work being done. I can't say enough nice things about Nino. I've never had a bad experience with Four Seasons Garage Doors, but I feel confident that if I did, they're the kind of company that would go the extra mile to make it right. I highly recommend them!

The next morning, when I tried to open my garage door, it would only open a few inches. Then I realized that one of the springs had snapped. So I called Four Seasons. 8:15 AM Someone answered right away, and although it was a terrible connection, the guy was very patient with me. Once he found out that my car was stuck in the garage, he put me on the schedule for a 10-2 appointment. 10:50 AM I received an email stating that Nick P. was on his way. There was also a photo of him, so I would know who to expect upon arrival. 10:57 Nick called to say he was about 45 minutes away from my house. 11:37 Nick arrived at my house. He was professional, thoroughly explained my options, showed me pics and costs on his tablet, then promptly replaced the springs. The cost was very reasonable, in my opinion. He was finished by 12:30. When I read some of the recent reviews, I was initially a little worried. But then I saw that a couple of the Yelp reviewers only did one review (which was the Four Seasons one), and I assume they are probably from competing businesses. My experience with this company is that they are top-notch, and I would definitely use their services again (although hopefully I won't have to for a long time)
