We placed an order, which arrived 49 days later, two 84"-long floating frames (for displays in our living room) crafted of cherry wood and finished with a light oil. The shelves came with mounting hardware, but my contractor opted to use his own torx-drive woodscrews to mount to the studs. What great shelves! The construction is beautiful, with barely a 3/8" bend in the wood across the 84" length, easily straightened during the process of mounting. My contractor was impressed by what he says is the hand-planing of visible surface. A little beeswax and oil polishing, and we have wonderful shelves for rotating displays of photos and memorabilia. So, I call MTD/Troy-bilt for a list of authorized service locations - I get information for Reggie's. I call Reggie's and explain my situation and what is needed. I am told to bring in my machine. At the store, there are clip boards hanging on the wall for various brands of machine, including my brand. Here is the trouble: the store will not file the paper work to get me my warranty service. I called ahead, I explained the situation when I dropped the machine. When I pick up the machine, no effort has been made by the store to file the claim, they will not even give me the proper documentation to file the claim myself. If you are from "away" and are bringing some machinery with you to your new life, STAY AWAY from Reggie's. Reggie's only want your repair business if you bought the machine from them.

Early in 2020 I moved to the L/A area and brought my mower with me. The self-propel function, personal pace, was acting up. I have had this system repaired before. It is not a cheap fix, but worth it - in 12 years I have had to do this repair one time before. The machine still works great, and I would like to keep it going. It just needs repair. Lapointe's is the nearest authorize TORO dealer/authorized service to my new home. I called ahead, and made an appointment for tune-up and repair to the personal pace propel system. I dropped off the machine, and confirmed the tune-up and repairs that were arranged. Days later I received a call, and was told that the tune was complete, but they did not make the repairs to the personal pace propel system - it was not worth it: I should come get my machine, charges are $95.00 plus tax. When I get to the store to pick up my machine, I was charged the $$, and told that the machine was around back and the mechanic/technician would answer my questions about the repair. I was told I should "convert" the machine to a "push mower." I asked what that involved? The mechanic flipped the machine over, yanked out the drive belt, and told me it was now converted to a push mower. Not at all reasonable. I have had this repair done before, and now I need to find a place to get it done. Terrible service! Terrible!!

Brought it in around 7 a.m. on Tuesday when they opened and by 1 p.m. the same day, they called and stated the tractor was all done and ready for pick-up. Unbelievable nowadays! I thought I'd have the machine sitting there for days/weeks while they 'looked' for the parts they needed but not so at all - they had everything right there in their shop and finished the job the same day! The tractor actually operates much, much better after these professionals did their magic. Very impressed and will always recommend them and will definitely use them again for any similar work. I watched an employee (older man with gray hair and beard) walk up to a customer in line and just…read moreabsolutely berate the poor guy for being in the "wrong line" and acted like the customer was stupid. The customer looked at me with disbelief and walked off. Then my turn was next. I had just purchased an item days earlier that was hundreds of dollars and didn't work right out of the box. I had my receipt with me. He would not exchange it or refund me. He said they had to ship my brand new item out for repair. I don't think I have ever seen such a rude and angry person allowed to deal with the public anywhere. I thought he was joking at first it was so bad.
