very easy to set up a move. i called and the women handling the phone was very efficient. she even directed me to the yelp deal. the movers were on time and super quick about getting things done. the whole move for a one bedroom took 2 hours. i've used two other moving companies before, and i think these guys were the fastest and cheapest. even with taking furniture apart and putting it back together. no hidden charges. i really hate moving, but aaron's takes a lot of the stress out of the process. read more

Had a great experience. They were super quick and efficient and did everything for me. They took apart beds and reassembled them, wrapped fragile items in blankets, etc. Very polite and helpful. Everything from start to finish was done in 5.5 hours, even with stopping for a quick lunch break and making 2 trips. These guys did a great job. They packed us one day, moved us the next. They were neat, worked hard and very efficient. Most importantly they were $1800 less than their competition. I've had professional movers, including doing packing, a number of times in a number of places, and these guys were the fastest I've ever seen. It truly was amazing. Awesome. I was super impressed by our movers. Q and Henry worked so hard and so fast. They take boxes three at a time down our multistory home with no complaints and hardly any breaks. We couldn't keep up. They took a door off the hinges to squeeze a desk through, handles large unframed mirrors and all with great care. I hired Aaron's moving to move from a condo to a new house. Initially it was OK, though I helped them break things down, they moved it to a truck on the loading dock. Then they said they are going to get a sandwich across the street, and will meet us at our new house. It's about a 10-15 min drive to the new place from the old place. More than an hour later, they showed up, because they couldn't find it. (Earlier we had *told* them it was hard to find and perhaps they should write the directions down or something). Then, after lunch, it was like they slowed down. It took them *forever* to move things, and I had a sense they were deliberately slowing to get an extra hour. Finally, they charged us for all the hours from beginning to end ... including that one hour where they were *lost*. Worker quality was decent (didn't bang things or ruin furniture), but price was scammy! read more

I was able to book Aaron's Moving during the busiest time of the year with 1 week notice. We were moving my parents from a 2 story house to an apartment in a retirement community. 2 man crew was on time and very efficient in loading and unloading the truck. Vicktoria in customer service was also very helpful. Since I was arranging this for my parents, I asked if there was any senior discount available. She mentioned they didn't have one, but there was a Yelp coupon that I could purchase and get $100 off. The job was done just under the 4 hour minimum. read more

I have to move to another apartment in1 mile radius from my previous apartment. They came right on time and literally did "almost" every thing without little/no explanation. I just moved from San Jose to Millbrae on May 11, 2007. This is the 3rd moving within two years. I have hired Starving Student Mover for the first two moving. They did great job. None of my furnitures got damaged. This time I thought I try some other company. I read the reviews through this website and decide to gave Aarons moving a try. The manager came to do the estimation and I explained to him my white couch and my wood furnitures are very expensive. He said don't worry, of course we will use blanket and shrink wraps. I felt good because of the reviews. The moving day, 3 young Russian guy came on time. They start to move boxes. When they start to move furnitures, they didn't use blanket to wrap them. They just use the shrink wrap to wrap the furniture and move. Each time I ask them, they said don't worry, they have lots of experiences. When they move my white couch, They didn't even put on shrink wrap. They just use their not clean hands move it into the elevator. I was so shock. I request them to wrap my white chair which matches my couch before they move it. They said to me I didn't request to wrap the couch before they move it. I called the manager, he said he is not the person who response sending the people, but they should wrap it before they move. It's too late, I just hope there's no damage on my furnitures ( those furnitures are imported from Japan, very expensive furnitures). After everything in my new apartment, I checked the furnitures, lots of scratches, big paint of my futon, my standing chess chip of a piece of wood. I ask them, they said that was old damage. I called manager, he said just pay full amount now and he will come to take a look later. So far four days pass, I still did not hear from them. I will keep post unti I hear anything from them. I called one day before my moving and they are still available. So I booked two guys. On the moving day, they showed up on time and moved my stuff in just 2 and half hours. But since they charge for 4 hours minimum I still have to pay 4 hours of work. Overall their service is not bad. read more

I just moved this past weekend from Sunnyvale to Redwood City and these guys were great! Walt and Mike were very friendly, efficient, and took great care of all my belongings. It only took 2 hours for the entire move, including drive time. The only thing preventing me from giving them 5 stars is a bit of miscommunication regarding wardrobe boxes. My confirmation email stated they would bring 4 wardrobe boxes free of charge, but they did not have any upon arrival. However, I still highly recommend them and would use them for a future move! read more

Used Aarons Moving to move our stuff from apt to storage this summer. They were excellent! The manager set up a time convenient for us (after hours) to come appraise the situation. We wanted to move a 2BR into a 10x10, and it was going to be tough. He gave us tips on how to minimize the space, what to keep assembled, and what to disassemble, and how to better pack stuff. He also called a few storage places and recommended to us the one with the best deal at the time. His crew showed up on time; did their work efficiently and quickly 4.5 hrs total), managed to squeeze our stuff into a 10x10 by sheer will, I think. Very happy with them, and would recommend to anyone. These guys know what they're doing, and at a reasonable rate, too! read more

The two men were on time and worked very hard the whole time. Our church was not moving, but we required moving items up stairs and down into the basement. They did a great job, were cooperative and worked very hard and continuously the whole time. No complaints whatsoever. read more

This review is long overdue. Konstantin and his crew have moved us 3 times already, and they did a great job every time. They work hard and move things quickly, which is what we have been looking for. No need to wrap and pamper our Ikea furniture (I'm pretty sure they could/would do that if requested). Also, they always looked for a way to park their truck so that things can get in and out quickly. They have gone over our balcony twice, which cut hours off the total time (our neighbors' movers parked about 100 yards away on the street...). I never had any issues with damaged items. However, I move the expensive electronics myself. Last time we asked them to use carpet protection, because we had just put in a new carpet - no problem. read more

I initially hired Aarons Moving to help my son and his wife move. They had previously moved a year and a half prior and had a terrible experience with a different moving company. This move required not only items from their current location, but a stop at their storage unit, and then delivery to their final destination to a 2nd floor apartment. Everything was confirmed by the documents sent via email. On the day of the move, the movers were prompt, professional and VERY hard working! I think they only time they stopped was when they drove. They also worked very quickly. It was because of this great experience that when I needed some items moved about a month later, I engaged them again. I used this company for 4 times for the last 6 years to move myself and my family members. I always have been pleased with their professionalism. Everybody with whom I dealt so far from this company is very nice and friendly. I don't expect movers to smile and to laugh during the move, it's a hard work to do such a job and they have to concentrate all the time to make sure the move goes smoothly. Last time when they moved me from my house in Portola Valley to San Francisco they did an amazing job considering the hills, the size of the house, and a limited space for parking. My furniture is very expensive, most of it is custom made. They took an extra care for each single item for protection. I can't imagine to hire anybody else. I had worked with different teams from this company and always been pleased. This company became my family mover. I had a great experience with Aaron's Moving. Viktoria was so sweet and helpful in scheduling my move (which I was able to do just 2 days beforehand). She was very friendly and returned my initial email and subsequent calls very quickly. Zura and Vasiliy showed up on time on the day of my move. The two of them worked very hard all day. They took great care with all of my things. If we wanted something moved around to different places in a room they did it happily. Even at the end of the move, both movers were still very friendly and polite. They didn't even want to take a lunch break, but we kind of made them rest. They were awesome! I don't know how they do this every day. The price was very reasonable, and worth every penny. I forgot how miserable moving actually is, but these movers made it much more bearable. I would totally use them again (but hope I won't be moving again for a long time!) The only reason I didn't give them FIVE stars is because I don't really know if they are "as good as it gets", but they came pretty darn close. :) read more
