I've come to this place twice to get a live scan done and services are quick and efficient. Both times they have had only one person working and like I said, their services are quick. I can say I was in and out of the door within 10 minutes or less. For a live scan just make sure to take 3 copies and fill them out with your info so all the worker has to do is turn on the machine for the fingerprints and fill out the bottom section. This is the ONLY place that San Mateo County allows you to get your live scan done for your CCW. After reading the reviews, I was dreading coming in to get my prints done. To my surprise the service was actually pretty good! I didn't catch the employees name, but her initials were "JC" on the paper. She's super friendly and patient :) read more

I came here for fingerprints/livescan and the service has a lot of improvements to consider. I saw another review of someone mentioning bad customer service. Sure, this kind of service does not require much interpersonal interaction but you need to at least hear customer's concerns. The girl who was doing my livescan ignored my feedback. I noticed she was doing my prints faster than other places. I told her mine typically takes a lot of tries because my prints aren't clear. She ignored it and proceeded to finish in less than 5 minutes. Now, I have been told I need to redo them due to prints not being clear. I am disappointed as the service takes time and jobs are on the line. Please take better care of your customers. read more

I stopped in for passport-like photos shortly before close (international drivers license). Frank and team were quick, took a shot that worked, and I was in and out - easy! They were courteous and attentive to the several customers in the shop. Where they went the extra mile: helping me get digital photos for a family member printed. Two digital sets were sent to them, neither perfect (shadows etc). Frank edited and was able to produce a print that was noticeably better than what we sent. No up charge, just solid service. This place charged 30% more for the exact same shipment (same sizbox, content, destination and carrier) compared to a spot in Menlo Park, just a couple weeks apart. I used their services to ship a package to another country, but the store didn't complete the customs declaration properly, so it was sent back. I don't really see how I can give anything other than 1 star since they couldn't perform the basic function of a post office. I'm not going to bother having them send it again. Came today for a notary service, I had one piece of document for a power of attorney written in the Arabic language. First I waited for 20 minutes for the notary person to come back from lunch, and once she came she told me: "what is this for?" so I answered. Then she said: "Sorry, I can't notarize documents I can't read", she also added: " I don't feel comfortable signing on a document I can't read, you can go to UPS" First of all, I don't know how she got her notary certification and she doesn't know the do's and don't's. I will have to report it to the secretary of state for refusing to notarize a document just because it is in an Arabic language. If someone who came in with a Spanish document or a Chinese document, would you say the same to them? In addition, you don't have to read Arabic to notarize the document, you are certifying that the person who is standing in front of you, and signing the document, is the same person in the presented ID. The reason I came to this store is that I like to support local businesses that are family owned. I usually go to UPS to notarize anything. Thank you for your decency, J. Edited after owner response on 7/17/23: Pricing: The government website for LiveScan fingerprinting indicates that the fee for this at Pack & Mail Express should be $35. When I actually paid for the service I was charged $84. Owner's response below indicates this is due to DOJ and FBI charges added on top of the fingerprinting charge of $35, but it surprised me when I paid since there was not a breakout for the different fees I was paying for on the receipt- it just says LiveScan Fingerprinting: $84. I always appreciate itemized receipts to see the breakout of what I'm paying for. I understand that there is a cost of doing business, however, it is easy to attribute the difference in price on the OAG website to being overcharged without the itemization showing the additional fees. Like most package deliver centers, the cost of printing is expensive at $2 base fee + $0.32 per page, but competitors are just as bad or worse about pricing, so just know what to expect if you need to print. Service: Nothing remarkable - not very warm toward customers, but also not rude or unhelpful. Location: Conveniently located near a main road and several restaurants and grocery stores nearby. I have psoriasis on my feet and it hurts to walk. There is UPS and FedEx offices close to home. Nevertheless, I walk a mile every time I walk a mile and back because of the amazing customer service at this location. They are courteous and helpful and worth the walk. read more

Delivery failed, yet this store charges 40% more than competitors for shipping and 300% times more for notary. The young lady is extremely rude. Cold and aloof, acts as if your presence is akin to an annoying mosquito to be swatted away. No greeting or acknowledgement, and glares at you if you dare to offer a smile or salutation. Refuses to answer basic questions about their service. The most she'll respond is lazily pointing at the wall. Also failed to notify of additional fees. I believe tagging on fees without consent is illegal. True, not BBB accredited for obvious reasons. Better off going to Postal Annex if you're looking for convenience and also want reliable and polite service, and UPS for notary needs. read more

I don't normally leave reviews (this is my first review). I just recently went in for my livescan fingerprints and I was told that this place is open. Firstly, a lady JC was very unwelcoming and seemed to have a bad day (which I totally understand, we're human and we all have those days) and seemed to not care about the additional flyer I presented that i was informed to present at the livescan site to ensure I don't get charged. She pushed it aside and said nothing and proceeded on (whatever, right?) Secondly, there was no receipt or any sort of "thank you" which made the customer service feel ehh. All and all, I got what I came in for and didn't get charged. All I'm going to say is that the customer service has a lot to be desired and will not be giving this place any business in the future read more

Your one stop shop for shipping, supplies, shredding, keys made, passport photos, notary, PO Box... there's a lot you can get accomplished here. The employees are extremely helpful and they are open 7 days a week. There are lots of shipping options and you really can get everything done here- they are well stocked with all of the bubblers, mailers and boxes you can imagine. I like how there are plain boxes and mailers as well as decorative ones. There are also post cards and greeting cards. There is a parking lot and a better atmosphere than the post office. They have a nice selection of stamps as well! read more

As someone who has been struggling as part of the working homeless for years, it is helpful to have a paid mailbox when I do not have a reliable home address. I had previously used a service in San Francisco, but while they were close to mass transit, their hours and parking for the occasions when I had access to a vehicle were less than desired. What first caught my eye about Pack & Mail Express was their Sunday hours, but having used them for about a year now I can say that Jim and his staff are polite and professional. They're located right by a Caltrain station too so occasions when I don't have access to a car I can still get there and pick up mail and packages without too much trouble. Moreover, the shopping center they are in has plenty of free parking and I never seem to have to contend with SF's gridlock when driving here. Hopefully I'll eventually be able to afford a place of my own again someday, but in the meantime this has been the best mailbox rental service I have used to date! read more

The closest APC is many miles away, and is always out of supplies (and has lost my shipments!), plus the USPS in RWC is absolutely terrible (starting with the fact that they CLOSE FOR LUNCH every day), so it was a stroke of good fortune that I discovered Pack and Mail Express. Even though the surrounding competition is so bad, these folks still stand out as being a place where I can reliably expect a positive experience from friendly (albeit sometimes wacky) staff. Some of their merchandise offerings looks like it comes from the 1990s, and it can take a minute longer than I'd prefer to get served sometimes, but they are never understaffed, always courteous (and usually smiling/laughing/fun - try to find THAT at a post office), always on point with their service experience. Parking can be a chore, but that's a review on the awfully-designed Sequoia Station shopping area. The things I've personally had done at Pack and Mail Express: key cutting; made a few copies; bought stamps; mailed about a hundred packages via a variety of carriers; purchased boxes. They have a big selection of U.S. postage stamps. They email me tracking numbers. All my stuff has, to date, reached its intended destination (which I can't totally attribute to P&ME, but it certainly started out well in their handling). Jimmy and his team consistently deliver excellent customer service at a great price. They are friendly and responsive. Whether I need to return a package or send a package via FedEx/UPS/USPS/etc, these guys get it done. It's super easy to e-mail docs for printing--or scan docs as well. I haven't even mentioned all the services offered by PAME (notary, shipping supplies, cards, PO Boxes....). These guys are great! I wish it said online that you have to come in a certain time before closing to get something laminated so I wouldn't be wasting my time. read more
