It's been busy and Krystal hired a repair service to look at an issue with our refrigerator. They…read morecharged us $140 to make the service call. Came out and after two visits diagnosed it as a gasket repair on the freezer. A very simple repair that takes 20 min. The repair man then applied the charge for the gasket and labor and and charged me $490. I thought this was a lot and asked to see an itemized receipt. It could not be produced. So I asked to speak to the owner, Robert Scheifer. Spent a few minutes with him and he gave this long story about how their system works and would cost customers more if they set it up differently. I was unhappy with the explanation. I began doing a little research and a few people in the know on these types of repair reached out. Turns out that the issue wasn't the gasket. It was the drain that was plugged. I fixed myself and put in a call to the owner. In the meantime, I found that the gasket cost anywhere from $59-$160, but they wanted roughly $650 to do the repair that would take 20 min. I spoke with Mr Schiefer this morning. He was willing to refund my $490 but not the $140 and wanted to charge me cancellation fees. I let him know that I was unsatisfied based on the fact that he was charging me 1100% the cost of the freezer gasket to repair it. A clear business ethics issue. Also, friends in the know helped me diagnose the real issue which was a simple drain pipe clog. Made the repair myseand the freezer has worked perfectly for 48 hours AVOID THIS BUSINESS Mr Appliance! This ower owns all these Mr Appliance's: Bryan/College Station, Brenham, Katy, Richmond, Sugar Land.

Extremely disappointing experience with Mr. Appliance of Sugar Land and Fulshear…read more Our experience began with the owner answering the number they themselves provided and rudely demanded to know "how did you get my number?" Not a great first impression. We were told we'd receive a courtesy call before the technician arrived, but none ever came. When the tech showed up, I clearly explained that our refrigerator wasn't making ice and had low water pressure. Instead of doing any real diagnostic work, he glanced at it and said we "needed a new filter." That was it--no testing, no checking valves or lines, and no filter on hand to even try. I paid $208 for a lazy, two-minute "diagnosis." I bought a new filter myself, and of course, the problem persisted. Any reputable appliance company would dig deeper to figure out the root issue. We have since had another company come out--someone who did not know about the prior visit--and they immediately started taking things apart, digging deep to diagnose the problem properly. Mr. Appliance, by contrast, did none of this. I requested a refund for this unacceptable service and was refused. If you choose to go with this company, expect poor service, no accountability, and outrageous trip charges. There are plenty of other options nearby that actually care about doing the job right.

I didn't know that they use facial recognition software and that's really messed up. It's also against the constitution and illegal. You would think that with all this money spent on the technology to stop shrinkage that they could pay well and actually have some pretty good people working here since they can obviously afford extravagant things. Not so much at this location. Low wages and low levels of interest and attitude from employees.
