Five stars for Brazos Appliance and Repair. Called and set up an appointment for Shannon to come out and look at my Jenn Air oven. He came out looked at it tested it and got the code he needed in order to fix my oven. Unfortunately an expensive part needed to be ordered. The good thing was that the part and repair came in under $500.00 as a new oven cost over $2500.00...crazy!! So the way it works is you pay a trip charge for the first trip which if you agree to the repair it gets subtracted from the total at the end of the repair. I felt this was good value and they kept me posted about the time line of delivery and order of my part. read more

In two cases, Shannon advised us we might be better replacing the appliance. I appreciated that rather than having an expensive repair that might not have lasted. I bought all new appliances after Harvey. Thought I was buying the best, but 18 mos. after purchase, with no warning, the fridge conked out. Called Bosch and they said they would cover diagnosis but after that, they'd have to see. Meanwhile, I had to throw out at least $100 worth of food. I called Brazos, having a history with Shannon that goes back 20+ years. I trust him 100%. He came over that night! The fridge started working again after he looked at it! I'd love to trust it to keep working...But I didn't want to fight with Bosch or get up at 2 am to put my ear to the fridge listening for the fans and hoping not to need to toss all the food in the fridge. We highly, highly recommend Brazos Appliance & Repair! After having spent 3 days waiting (during a 4-hour window) for a Sears / A&E washer repairman -- and being stood up each time, I searched Yelp and found Brazos Appliance & Repair. Nikki answered right away when I called (via text) and she arranged for Shannon to come to our house within 3 hours!! She was super-kind, super intelligent and coordinated everything well. Shannon called as he was on the way and arrived on time. He quickly diagnosed the problem with our old Kenmore washer, found a replacement part (not an easy feat) and came back the next day to complete the repair. I had a horrible experience and would definitely not recommend using Brazos Appliance and Repair. On November 18th, I contacted them because we needed repairs on a leak in the ice maker, and our Home Warranty Company referred us to them. They didn't even come out to our house until December 1st. At that time, the Serviceman made a list of parts to order. He also told me that the parts would be in within a couple of weeks. After almost 3 weeks, I heard nothing from them, and when I contacted them, I was told that the parts hadn't arrived. I then went out of town until mid-January. They sent a Serviceman back out on January 22nd, which was a Friday. Over the weekend, we realized that every bit of food in the refrigerator and freezer had completely thawed out and spoiled. The following Monday, I contacted the Home Warranty Company and insisted that they provide another Service Company. When they sent out another Serviceman, he found that there's was no mechanical failure. However, the Compressor had not been plugged back into the wall. Due to the negligence and incompetence of Brazos Appliance and repair, we have lost a considerable amount of food, and unfortunately the company refuses to take any responsibility. read more

We had our dishwasher back up suddenly and start leaking out all over our kitchen floor. We called Brazos Appliance and Repair the next day (on a Saturday, Super Bowl Weekend no less). Shannon came out the same day and fixed the issue. He was very patient, and explained everything we asked about the issue. Will definitely call on them if we need appliance help again. read more
