My 84 year old Ambulitory father; with alzheimer's and dementia, stayed here May 1st-October 1st…read more The staff was friendly. The facility was clean. The meals looked healthy. My Dad is a very slow eater, so I would try to make sure I would bring him snacks or even a lunch. Because I'm sure they would take his try up before he was finished eating. I loved that the rooms were large and that they were free to roam indoors and outdoors. No TV's in each room. The TV room was also a dining room, so they would have to leave during cleaning and the TV wasn't on during meals. On the day we picked Dad up, a few of the staff and myself were in tears. I loved them & they loved my Dad. He would still be there except it was much too far to travel to visit. The facility was good about contacting me about Any incidents injuries or behavior changes; but I was blown away to find that my father's toe nails had not been trimmed during his whole stay. I had his nails clipped just before I admitted him in May and informed them that I wanted to keep his nails in good shape because they are so thick and need to be trimmed by the doctor only. I was assured that he would be taken care of. My Dad's toe nails have grown in the shape of a J and presses into the flesh of his toes. A fungus on one toe and mad dad said that it hurt him. He had An awful smelling brown substance under in between his toes. We are waiting for his appointment with the podiatrist. I was told that my father's toenails were not cut because my father refused to have them cut. My father is in no mental state to make decisions about his care and I was never informed. This saddened me and I was very embarrassed at the hospital when he asked me about it. This is not ok. Otherwise, they took good care of my dad from here to ankle.

The best care was received by the certified nursing assistants, however, never once was I offered a way to clean my body whether bed bath or assist in shower. Very poor care. First let me start off with this: my doctor raved about Eric. I scheduled my appointments here…read morebecause of Eric. Eric was a great rehabilitation person for me. He was sweet as pie, gentle, kind and totally compassionate. He gets five stars all the way across. Now my motive for this review is to warn patients that they may or may not have a cancellation or tardy policy and seem to struggle with communicating those policies to the patient. I forgot the second appointment and asked for a confirmation the day before. They said they would try but never did. That is fine, it is my responsibility to keep my appointment. Once I got lost because Google sent me to the wrong center and then there were a couple re-schedulings and one more cancellation because not only did my tire blow out, but I got buried in sand trying to take a short cut. (FYI, tires over three years old melt in desert heat. All four of my tires died this summer.) Upon my last cancellation, the receptionist was short and told me Eric was booked for the rest of the week. I was apologetic and said I simply couldn't get there. She said she might call me if there was a cancellation and ended the conversation with some severity. I called back twice to apologize, neither time did they pick up the phone. (Consequently, a friend called shortly afterward from another number and was able to speak to someone with no problem.) It really does suck to think I may have wasted Eric's time or that the office was dealing with an irresponsible patient. What sucks even more is digging your car out of sand in 103 degree heat, watching your friends get buried as they try to help you and then lose your rehabilitation program. Now, I felt bad for about eight hours. Then I thought, do they have a cancellation policy? I actually have no idea. Nor have I ever really dealt with an office who avoided me like an ex-boyfriend instead of discussing the policy with me or treating the relationship like a business relationship. Which it is. My doctor offered to call and stick up for me, but I am not sure I want to walk into a place where a receptionist is "mad" at me for having a streak of bad car trouble. Also, updating their google maps directory and confirming appointments could always help if they are so inconvenienced.

While I understand the limitations HIPAA places on healthcare providers, Quincy's response to my…read morereview is a deflection that fails to acknowledge the gravity of the situation or take responsibility for her actions. I want to clarify a few critical points for the benefit of anyone reading this, especially expectant parents who may be considering her care. Yes, families should have choices in their birth experience--but they deserve accurate information, timely medical judgment, and appropriate referrals when serious risks arise. I communicated clear red flags, including premature rupture of membranes (PROM), meconium-stained fluid, and signs of infection. Despite this, I was left without any physical monitoring or in-person care for 36 hours, and I was never referred to the hospital--even though her own licensing guidelines explicitly require her to transfer care immediately when risk factors like these appear. I was relying on Quincy's professional judgment, trusting she would alert me when things became dangerous. That trust was deeply misplaced. When I finally went to the hospital (on my own initiative), I was diagnosed with chorioamnionitis, a serious infection, and had to undergo an emergency C-section. My daughter and I were both extremely lucky to come through this without permanent harm. Quincy's claim that we had "numerous discussions" about transferring care is simply not true. She minimized my concerns, dismissed signs of infection, and only offered a transfer as a casual option--not a medical necessity. Additionally, when I attempted to address this with her post-birth, she shifted the blame onto me rather than taking responsibility. This review is not written out of spite. It's written to protect other families from experiencing the fear, danger, and betrayal I felt in one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. I hope anyone reading this will seek a care provider who follows not only their licensure requirements, but also basic medical standards and human empathy.

100% Recommend. Very educated in potential issues while respecting the natural birth process.read more
