A few years ago we noticed some damage to the leather seat covering on our Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Try as I might I was unable to negotiate with the dealer to repair the seat damage. I was going to get the work done with an upholsterer that I had used years ago for another vehicle, but they were no longer in business. I turned to Yelp and read through numerous reviews and felt that AB Auto Upholstery was right choice. I drove over and spoke with Abel, who I found very friendly and knowledgeable. He looked the area over, confirmed they could do the repair, quoted me a price, and even said that they would do the work on a Saturday. It took about 3.5 hours to repair the damaged area on my seat and it looks absolutely brand new. I am pleased with the quality of the work and how the color matches (keep in mind this seat has about eight years of wear, so the color is a tad brighter because of newness only). Avil and Gustavo did an incredible looking, just out of the factory quality reupholster of my driver's seat. We have an older Ford Escape that had a grossly torn seat with foam cushioning coming out of the seat into the car, despite the car seat cover. Not only was Avil able to closely match my fabric color and type, but he used a better quality more durable fabric than the original. He discovered that the metal seat portion supporting the cushioning had broken, so he welded that as well. The fabric ceiling in the car was dropping down, blocking some of my rear vision. He fixed that too. Now the car interior looks like our car just came off the assembly line. When I asked him what I owed, I had to ask him again. I was expecting I would have to pay much more than I did. They were able to complete this all in about 3 hours as I waited. I can't give enough praise to these two men. My driver's seat looks assembly line new AND is actually comfortable. Next week they do my passenger seat so that seat is comfortable to sit in too and beautiful. read more

Took my 2013 Acura TL here to get the center armrest re-upholstered as the original leather peeled off. Unlike a competitor who didn't know how to disassemble the armrest, these technicians knew exactly what to do. What's more, the repair job turned out better than the original. Five stars is a rare thing from me, but Abel was beyond amazing in reupholstering our 18 year old vehicle. He went above and beyond to find fabric that matched well the original fabric, reinforced the seating and headrests, which was beyond what we had talked about, and completed the project in half the estimated time On top of all this, his pricing compared to the other shops I received quotes from started at 10% lower, then he actually reduced the price to reflect lower material costs. Came in to get an estimate to repair the seat on my 2013 Honda Civic. Place was a little hard to find because it was tucked away on the backside of the building. Guy came right out looked at the seat, gave me a fair price and told me to come whenever I wanted and they could do it while I waited. I heard about AB Auto Upholstery from a neighbor last fall (2019) from a neighbor when I split the leather on the passenger seat of my Lexus LS430. Abel and his team replaced the perforated leather with a match so close I cannot tell it from the original. Recently I had them replace the leather on part of my driver seat (after 14 years of wear and tear, it was time) as well as the arm rest. I want to recommend AB Auto Upholstery. Ab did a great job bringing my 89 FJ62 Cruisers interior back together. I bought the carpet online to save money and he installed it. He even manufacturer a piece to go in the back to cover the tailgate. Ab also made the drivers seat look by reforming the seat and fixing an old cigarette hole that was in it. Really looks great! I took my 2007 Honda Civic into Ab's to have the headliner reupholstered, since it was pretty much entirely detached from front to back and sagging. I called around to several places, and he gave me the best quote and fit me in quickly on a Saturday. He only took a few hours to do the repair, and I was so impressed with his work and customer service! The headliner looks brand new and it matches the interior perfectly, even though it's an old car. Ab runs this friendly shop and his nephew works with him. They do excelent work at very reasonable prices with honisty that is hard to find now days. I was origionally refered by AB to a differant shop as my job was small to hopefully save money with a patch style repair performed in the car. However as it turned out the work couldn't be done without the industrial leather sewing equipment at AB. So to save I was given a special price if I removed back seat myself. I got it almost out, but didn't have tool for two bolts. The nephew came out imiadeatly when I explained my hang up, and grabbed a wrench and got the seat out. Work was done in one day, and the repair looks like factory stock seat exactly. read more

This guy Abe is horrible. I came to get a quote to reupholstered my car seat. He said it would be $600 but he'd have to order the leather to give him a few days. Over a week goes by I had not heard back from him, so I called and said he had the leather. I come over and it's not the same leather/color/texture as my other seats. He said it's better it's for Mercedes. I didn't care about Mercedes, I wanted to match the color as my other seats. Then he said he'd order the right one, again, but now it's $650. No call back, so I called him and he had it. I show up and it's a different color again. So I called Toyota the research and gave him the code of leather correct leather, twice because he lost it after weeks of waiting for him. Then he stopped taking my calls. I show up and he said sorry we're too busy you should go somewhere else. This is after almost 2 months of running around with this guy. He's so organized and rude. Don't waste your time. read more
