First of all not even going to rate them . what was only going to be a sunroof fix turned out to be a total nightmare ! And I never experienced anything like this . My car was totally gutted , these thieves swapped out so many parts everyday ai find something new they changed . Makes me sick to know people like this exist. And can still get away doing business. I called the police dept reported it , filed a complaint with BAR turns out these guys are not credited approve with the BBB my fault should have checked! I just assumed they were good because wawanessa referred me to sunroof express and they referred me to these guys! From the gecko I knew something was off just from his behavior shady and didn't give me a receipt . I had to take a pic of it ! with Shame on them for what they did to me ! And who knows how many others ! I did complain to the insurance and to sunroof express. Totally bad for there business this has been a total nightmare ! Shame on you guys the quality is awful and to top it off they take advantage of you and then help themselves to unrighteousness unlimited access to your car . I had a minor rip on the armrest in my car and had spent some time trying to find a reliable and trustworthy specialist who could handle the job. I even opened up a project on Yelp but was having a difficult time finding someone who could manage the job at an affordable cost without requiring a full interior detail (that other quote in particular made no sense to me). Juding by the reviews, I opted to call Lindy's. Ended up speaking with Armando who invited me to come down so he could take a look at the job and prepare a fair quote. I did not find it especially busy, and it wasn't hard to get in. He would need to remove the armrest and keep it a couple of days to completely remove and reupholster the armrest. He did not recommend a patch job to aid with overall style consistency and length of life for repair. Communication was good, price was good and he could have the job done within a couple of days. I went for it. The material used is a close, not exact, match to the rest of the upholstery. Not a huge deal breaker for me, especially because the material was thicker and seemingly more resistant. I cannot speak to other services provided, but will say that I would return if needed based on this experience I had. read more

We took our 2012 Jetta Sportwagen in recently to have the sunroof shade fixed. VW has horrible sunroof shades on the Jetta wagon by the way, so be prepared for them to fail spectacularly when they get old. We got a quote on the spot from the owner and agreed to schedule the repair for the following week. At the same time, he noticed that the headliner was starting to separate and sag a little up front by the sun shades. He recommended replacing the headliner as well. We decided to add on re-doing the headliner at the same time. This saved us several hundred dollars in labor since the sun shade repair necessitates removal of the headliner and trim anyway. 2 birds, 1 stone. Both repairs were completed on time and we're extremely happy with the quality of work on both the headliner and the sun shade. The colors and fabric match perfectly to stock. Keep in mind that if you do get your headliner done, the fumes from the glue are strong. You'll have to air out your car or keep the windows down or cracked for about a week. It's worth it for a brand new headliner though. Lindy's guarantees their work. The owner told us to bring our car back if anything goes wrong with the repairs within a month or so. We didn't know this but Lindy's has been in business since 1949! The current owner's father worked for the original owner and bought the shop from them when they retired. I'm glad we found this gem of a shop in our neighborhood. Highly recommend you go here if you need any kind of interior work done on your car. There aren't many local family-owned auto upholstery shops left in San Diego, this is a good one. read more

STAY AWAY for motorcycle seats!! Took a cruiser solo seat here for some slight pain when riding in the tail bone. I knew exactly what I wanted done, some reshaping of the tail bone area for more of a scoop to alleviate pressure. Front desk guy tells me "sure no problem, we will even replace the foam with softer foam". I ask if I can get gel if that is better, "no it wont be better then this foam" Couple hundred later (not even replacing the cover) I get the seat back with more of a hump in the tail bone area then when it came in......... I told him it's not what I wanted but he said "give it 500 miles the foam will go down and then let me know if it's still bad and we will take care of it". Rode that day and pain in less then 15 minutes, much worse then before. Brought it back after 1000 miles just to be sure I gave it time and it's still extra foam where I needed less and pain in a few minutes. Even brought a friends seat in that had the EXACT reshaping done that I wanted on the EXACT same seat but was done in another state. His answer "no we cant redo it, that's a different seat and it probably has gel" well yes I asked for gel the first time if that's the case and you said gel wont work..... I just wanted the existing foam shaved that's it nothing else. "No it's not possible, not enough foam to remove". Clearly there is since I have a seat right here where its done. I didnt get what I had explicitly asked for and they went back on their word of fixing it. Which in my opinion probably could have been done in a few minutes. Take the cover off and cut the foam and put it back on, but I dont know I'm not a professional, I pay the professionals. Nothing I can do but help someone else avoid wasting few hundred (and a perfect oem seat) on a shop that cant do what they say they can. Great sales pitch but horrible product for motorcycles. read more

Another great recommendation, and passing it along. Brought in some interior parts for refinishing. A pair of bucket seats, and original, but not matching stock rear benches. The benches are probably about 40ish years old and have probably made it through a previous restoration or two. I asked them to refurbish the frames and reupholster. I really didn't have too much vision on what I wanted, something simple with a pattern reminiscent of the vintage. Junior was super helpful, showed me some samples and we talked through some ideas on how to tie the interior together. The workmanship in my photos says enough... I had a slow leak in one of my tires after a long trip in Baja. It was a cut on the sidewall, most likely from a sharp rock. Most shops will not repair tires with damage to the sidewall. But they helped me out and patched the hole for $20, and it took them less than 20 minutes. Super fast and friendly service at a very fair price. read more

When I received my car from Perillo BMW, the driver seat's leather was damaged. It looked like someone took sandpaper and sanded down the leather. Very disappointing. Luckily, I found Lindy's. Met with JR and got a quote. It was not cheap but he had the perfect match for my Amaro Brown leather. I did get another quote from a different shop, less than Lindy's but they didn't have the leather samples and they "will try to match" my interior according to the owner. I decided to go with Lindy's and I'm glad I did. I dropped off the car in the morning and picked it up at the end of the day. I was very pleased with their work. If I could give less stars I would! Very unhappy with Armando. I visited Lindys and discussed having my expedition front seats (drivers & passengers) the part you sit on and the inserts aswell as the second row seats inserts reupholstered. I was told several times they would need the car fir 2 to 3 days I said no problem, drooped of the car on moday at 8:30am Called Wednesday late in day to see how things were progressing. Told it wouldn't be ready until Monday. After saying that wont do i git car on Friday. But the front lassenger seat was not reupholstered only the insert In my opinion Armando is a liar and tried to make me believe we agreed to inserts on the 3 seats and driver's seat do all. Took my 2012 Jetta in to fix a sagging headliner. They did a great job for a reasonable price, the fabric was identical to the factory one. Expect to leave your car there for a day and a half. Really surprised by all of the positive reviews. While working with Lindy's, the final price came in higher than the estimated price (even though there wasn't a change in scope), they took much longer than promised and part of the adhesive started to fail a month after installation. They said they would correct the parts of the job that were failing, but that I would have to pay additional monies for them to correct the problems. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I literally sent two emails with pictures to their email address clearly asking for a estimate to re-do the headliner in my car and after 1 week...NOTHING. So after a week without hearing from them, I decided to just call and see what was up with why they didn't respond to my emails. I called and confirmed with them that the email address that I sent the email and pictures to was to the correct address. Then I kindly told them that I didn't hear back from them after 2 emails I sent. He then, I assume the owner collected my phone number this time and said he would get back to me. Thinking this time for sure I would have a estimate within a few days.. Now...a week later and still NOTHING. Unbelievable. I definitely would not recommend this shop to anyone based on their poor customer service and lack of communication. Mobility Scooter seat hurt my bottom and as a result I just didn't use it which was silly. I took the seat in and they fixed me up with an additional 3 inches of foam to ease spinal issues. My moonroof was shattered in the rain on my way to work. Armando was assigned to my insurance claim. Although the glass was not going to be at his shop until the next day, he took my car that day to get the roof covered to prevent any more damage. The glass came in and was installed. In the process of cleaning up all the glass in my seats, my back seat was soaked, they called with a fair price to get the seat dry before mold/mildew sets in and they got it done.
