A few years ago, my family and I ended up at Abandon and had the absolute best time! The views and vibe have stuck with my (now) husband since then, so when we were thinking of somewhere to have our wedding, Abandon matched us perfectly! Good beer, good pizza, and a beautiful view! I've been here a couple times and the main downside is that there isn't a ton of space inside to sit if there are a lot of people there. In the summer, this is no big deal but in colder weather this is a bit tough. But, the do have a fireplace in the corner so if you have a hankering for a beer and a warm fire, this is the place to go. Sometimes the service can be a little slow, but I don't really mind that much after the first beer :) read more

Today was my daughters meet and greet for all wedding guests because many are from all parts of the country. I thought that was a great idea and she had booked a private event at this brewery. First, I want to say is what an absolute beautiful place this is. It was high on a hill overlooking the country side filled with beautiful scenery in this fall. It was an exceptionally sunny day with a breeze that came off the lake that could match no other. The drinks were delicious and had really cool specialties as well. There was a kitchen with hot foods as well. Let me tell you something about the staff, they were all very friendly and helpful and when it came to serving food, it was just perfect. The bartenders and barmaids were a joy to talk with and learn the history of the place. There were some shirts, sweatshirts and many other items that you can purchase. This is a place to really enjoy friends and family. It's very roomy inside, outside on the porch and the yard and the pavilion- JUST EVERYWHERE!!! You can tell it was a local favorite because when our event was pretty much over, many people started coming in. Just loved this brewery. read more

Let's start with their beautiful setting. It's on a hilltop overlooking Keuka Lake. Beautiful place for the wedding I attended there this past weekend. The owner was super friendly (and has the cutest little dog) as was everyone else working there. Lots of seating on the deck outside of the old barn along with plenty of picnic tables scattered about. For the wedding we also used the covered pavilion and smaller private bar located behind it. There were plenty of lawn games for everyone to enjoy. The beers. Well personally I only tried their IPA and a pale ale. Not sure what they were called but both tasted really good. Would love to go back and maybe get a flight to try some more. I'd definitely recommend stopping here to try some of their beers while enjoying the beautiful view. 2021-140 read more

We visited a three breweries on our short trip to the Finger Lakes, and Abandon Brewing was the favorite. Beautiful views and location aside, the beer was spectacular. We tasted the Abbey Ale, the Peppercorn Saison, the Coffee Blonde, the Brown Porter, and the Barrel Aged Barleywine, and there's not a single one I wouldn't recommend. The Coffee Blonde rivals my favorite local coffee beer, and the Peppercorn Saison was incredible - one of the best saisons I've had in a while. The beers exceeded my expectations, and they paired well with their pepperoni pizza. Add in sunshine, a breeze, and beautiful view of Keuka...what more could you want? They do seem to host private events, so just check before you show up. read more

Not only did Abandon Brewing have great brews, amazing views, and delicious wood fired pizza, but the customer service is exceptional. I left my water bottle (that had stickers from all of my travels) on the back deck. I was thinking I would just forget it, but I thought they *might* still have it. When I called the next day, they had not only saved the bottle but they mailed it back to me. The person who answered the phone was so polite and helpful. Awesome brewery! First time visitor on a very busy Friday night. About 3 deep all around the bar but we got served without any issue, enjoyed a flight of 6 then a full pour of their newly released Christmas ale. A really cool barn turned into a brewery, I could only imagine how nice it is during the warmer months with those doors open and the lake in sight. This was the second time visiting Abandon. It is a very different vibe in the winter than in the summer when the deck is open and you can really enjoy the view of Keuka Lake. They had a couple of patio space heaters on in the renovated barn but it was still pretty chilly inside on the day before Thanksgiving. There were about a dozen patrons hanging out and prepping for the next day. We tried a variety of the beers and most were OK. Nothing jumped out for our group of tasters. I like the rustic feel inside as the brewery itself was an old barn! The beers here are pretty tasty with a nice variety to try. Great day stop! Old converted barn with a huge deck off the back offers scenic views of the lake. Many excellent beers on tap, from lighter sessionable ales to Belgian style quads. Light fare and brick oven pizza available. They also have a large covered outdoor area I've seen used for weddings and larger parties. A good mix of local regulars at the bar with a constant flow of beer trail visitors. Live music and more. A must-visit! read more

This is very close to Penn Yan, and it's located in an old barn. They are also one of the only breweries in the Finger Lakes that do farmhouse ales. I tried their tart cherry porter, which I liked even though I don't normally like porters. They have a nice outdoor area, so I would definitely come back sometime in the summer! read more

Highly enjoyed my visit to Abandon Brewery during Labor Day weekend. The views from the brewery are wonderful and the bartenders and overall atmosphere were very friendly. Ample outdoor space to spread out was appreciated, especially during covid. They brew and had available a nice variety of beers. My partner sampled two of the beers and enjoyed them very much, and I was happy to get to drink two local ciders that were also available on tap. About an hour before close my party of 13 people were turned away on a Saturday!! We walked in took a look around, out back, and then leisurely strolled to the bar. Upon doing this my family informed me the owner had informed my bus driver we were not welcome. I questioned the bartenders..."Well we really don't like big parties in case we get busy." So two bar guests...a small group out back (4) and us too busy??? I'm talking it was pathetically and awkwardly uninhabited. By the way no one in the place looked happy. Just saying even the customers looked less than thrilled to be there:/ Little did the owners know it was our last stop and we had tons of money and empty growlers we wanted filled. After drinking a keg the night before we were ready to fill er' up. Their loss:( I am a server and bartender by trade and choice. I know how to be guest centric and show people a great time when they are spending their hard earned money and this place should be ashamed of such poor business practices. I would have poured,laughed and watched the cash flow for that hour making enough for an extra tank of gas in my car and a 12 pack! Other reviewers preach of the slow service and crooked practices as well. So, now I'm not surprised. ****If you want an amazing brewery go to Climbing Bines. Sitting atop a hill, with arguably one of the best views of the lake that a brewery can offer, there is Abandon. I decided to have a sample flight to quench my palate. Abandon has a wide variety of beer and wine to choose from, so I narrowed it down to just 6 this time around (6 makes a flight). Many IPA's, Ales, and others to enjoy, and I certainly did just that.
