I can't believe I've never reviewed this place. I've been eating at Taco Pub since it was in Hacienda Heights. The huevos rancheros are the best I've ever had ANYWHERE! It was my go to for pregnancy cravings when I was pregnant with my now 35 year old son. I moved away from the area many years ago, but still try to make my way there as often as I can. My dad introduced me to this place that he dined at previously. The gentleman at the counter was friendly. I opted to try their street (soft taco) combo that comes with a taco (al pastor) w/beans & rice and I added another taco (w/carne asada), my dad decided to try their beef enchilada combo. Both our meals came out quick. Oddly, they only brought out 3 sauce cups (pico, green & spicy salsa) while I requested more and the gentleman acknowledged me, he never came back. We've been to this Mexican restaurant several times they have many items on the menu. In the past ordered burritos tacos, tostadas enchiladas Menudo plates, Carne Asada, and Al Pastor, and enjoyed every item, today I ordered a tostada with shredded beef and enchilada plate with beans and rice as usual, the food was delicious just like homemade the customer service is excellent Miguel and the Cook Luceno are courteous and friendly, Miguel has been here for almost 25 years so he does know the business. The interior itself is decorated nicely with memorabilia history and there are plenty of tables to sit down and enjoy. Hooookay. Why haven't I stopped in here before? It's located right by Happy Wok! Cute little spot, one of those places where you walk in and feel you're at home. I was greeted by a super friendly and sweet man at the front. I ordered to go.. but there are chairs and tables inside for dine-in. I ordered Chile Rellano burrito (dry), all meat Carne Asada Burrito (Dry), Crispy Beef Taco and churros! (Duh, couldn't leave without the Churros!) Crispy taco was yummmm. Perfect crisp with a hit of lettuce and cheese. Chili rellano was good... but next time I'm putting asada In it. Those beans were fire tho. The star of the show was the carbs asada burrito! Sooo much flavor - I stole it from my hubby. I might crave that one. Oh and the Churros..... mmmmmmm, 2nd to Disney's! Overall, 4 stars for amazing customer service, good eats and fresh food! Best place in our area. Better than the taco truck on the corner of Colima and fairway This place is in the shopping area of McDonald next to subway prices are way better then the truck. I tried going to that truck nasty. Abarcss is way better n Authentic n really good. Truck comes out of area. Abarcas has been in our neighborhood forever. Its the best. Its fast food. But not fast food taste. You can sit it you wish or take out. Family owned. That truck im talking about well it comes from out of the area. Very much a greasy spoon, hole in the wall vibe, but the service was friendly and the wet burritos were bomb! I ordered the Chile verde version with tender pieces of pork smothered in some of the best salsa in town. It came with a little salad, but I suggest ordering a side of chips to scoop up the yummy drippings. $1 charge for card use, so you may wanna bring cash. So I came in today to get a "bionioco" And I tell the guy no papaya or coconut and he says ok. Hence I thought this bionico was going to be like the ones I'm always use to having or seeing. Usually a bionico comes with banana, strawberries, apples, melon, papaya, raisins, granola, coconut and creme. This bionico that he gave me came with pineapple, watermelon, PAPAYA (WHICH I had said NO PAPAYA), melon, granola and the creme and no strawberries and raisins! This is not a bionico! Stopped by this place after church on Sunday. It was very good. It's a small establishment with a great menu. We ordered menudo and a chorizo burrito. The menudo was some of the best around. Lots of hominy and meat. The broth was delicious. No fat. The burrito was great. Had the option of beans or eggs and potato. Went with the potatoes. This place is super authentic Mexican food. It's a sit down place but they do take out. Their salsa is ¡¡muy picante!! But if it's on your food, that salsa is mild. Feel like a burrito? They are easily 4 pounds, so knock yourself out. They do have Menudo on the weekends, and they do have tamales!! You will not be disappointed; I should know since I've come here for years!! BEST CRUNCHY TACOS I've been eating here forevers and even though I moved away whenever I come to this area I always have to get my taco plate. Get the crunchy shredded beef tacos! They're so so good the meat is soft and their red salsa is sweet and delicious. My husband likes the taquitos and their machaca burrito wet. The rice and beans are yummy too! I walk in and they asked me if I have a mask. I say no. He offers for me to order outside. I tell him I'd like to dine in. There are other tables with people eating without their masks because well you can't have a mask on your face while you're putting food in your mouth. He says I can't sit down at a table because I don't have a mask. The table is directly behind me with no one in the way. I ask if I can order outside and then sit down at a table to eat the food, like everyone else is doing (eating food without a mask). The only reason for the 4 star review is that while what I have mentioned are great, several other things seem to be a little inconsistent. Nothing's bad, just haven't found more items to wow me. Always first rate with great prices. The manager is very outgoing and remembers us and what we usually order. Most orders are to-go but there is a small eat-in area. So after six years of having move out of the area, we happen to pass by there last week and whoa and behold, Miguel was still there and the food just as delicious as always. Yo the Spicy fish taco is spicy AF but the sauce is so good....its a cream sauce more on the watery side. The fish is very lightly fried to the point where its not exactly crunchy. My coworkers were craving some Mexican food. It's a small shop next to Mokkoji in the 168 Supermarket Plaza. You order at the register and then pick up the food afterwards. I got the Beef Flautas and a Crispy Potato Taco. The flautas were delicious, very well made, topped with a bunch of sauce and guacamole. I would probably skip out on the Potato Taco if I had known that it was just a fried taco with potato filling.
