This vendor is always packed & busy with a line! So be prepared to wait a bit, usually goes by fast. Come with an appetite cause everything is delicious! We usually get a pina agua fresca or horchata. Very good & refreshing. The toppings/ sides they have are endlesss. It's all self serve so you get to choose exactly what you want & how many! My favorites are the green salsa, the grilled onions w/ peppers, & the cucumbers! Make sure to grab some limes & onion & cilantro as well. I finally got the chance to stop by this place and let me tell you.. it's pretty hard to beat. I have a go to taco stand in my area and this place definitely gives it a run for its money. I am a taco lover and a spice lover as well - so those two combined always make me dance. To start, I ordered the cabeza (head meat) and asada tacos (5 total tacos) and a horchata. The protein is fantastic - I mean the cabeza was perfect and cut in larger chunks which I enjoyed more so I could chew it and experience the texture. The asada was cooked and seasoned perfectly and was NOT dry!! Awesome delightful food! Not to mention they use 1 corn tortilla per taco which is great for those looking to cut carbs. The horchata was perfect as it was not too sweet and had the perfect cinnamon balance! They also offered PINA and occasionally Champurrado. The salsa is great with avocado salsa, mild, and hot. Great flavor here! They also have all toppings you would normally expect at a taco stand with grilled Serano peppers! So fire for those looking for extra spice! The service is quick and the staff is friendly! They use a ticket system so you can order quickly and pack salsa, cucumbers, onion, and radish to be ready when your order is called. I will say it's a little more on the pricey side as 5 tacos and a horchata was $19. My friend got 6 tacos and a horchata and his was $22 - making each taco $3. So if you want cheaper tacos - look elsewhere My friend also tried lengua and al pastor which were both good - but not as good as the cabeza or asada. Been trying all the food trucks on Nogales St and decided to try Tacos Santa Cruz one night. They were still setting up when we got there ... we were maybe third in line and yes the line did get long. They took out order and about 5 minutes later called our number so it was pretty fast! We ordered tacos de carne asada. What I really like about this place is their self serve station. You can serve yourself the salsa you want, limit, salt, vegetables if you'd like. It's off to the side and some times places don't give you enough limon or salsa so the fact that you can help yourself to it is cool. Overall the tacos were really good!!!!! One of my favorite places to grab tacos or any other items they offer on their menu. Located on Nogales, right in front of Nogales High School. They've got a variety of flavorful proteins, and Plenty of street parking available. They usually start setting up right around 4pm, and we'll go sometime after 5pm. They get pretty busy but the service is really quick. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Prices are more than fair, I forget how much things are (I think tacos are around $2-3 each, burritos around $12) I usually keep it simple and order tacos, burritos, or quesadillas, but their proteins are delicious. Favorite are the al pastor and asada. Family also said the chicken is good, but have not personally tried it. I wish they had carnitas though. The al pastor with pineapple tacos are delicious. Perfectly cooked, well sliced and if you get the crispy slices, it's perfect. The asada is not overly salty and well-seasoned. If you're a fan of the charred, smoky flavor, it's an excellent protein choice. With your food, they have a variety of hot sauces, the orange one is by far my favorite. Plenty of kick and flavor plus the avocado sauce makes them a perfect pair. They also have cooked onions/jalapenos, raw onions, cilantro, and cucumbers available. Conveniently located right in front of Nogales High School on Nogales Street, this street taco place is a regular spot I'd swing by if in the area and feeling like a quick bite. I'd park right on the streets or swing inside the high school's parking lot for safer passage. The portions are generous at $2 per taco and every type of meat we've tried so far tastes good. Serve your own unlimited salsa and sides. The only thing I've noted is that one of their green sauces has very little flavor, wish they would work on that a little. Overall this is close to my job full disclosure for me its the convenience thats why i took a star away that would me being biased. Yes this place is good, and also i did take a star away because some of their stuff is a little too oily/greasy but its good too me too oily of greasy anything i will be iffy on it. It is good tho asada is on point actually cuts of asada meat not some warmed up ground beef that used to be asada. The sauces are good the habanero is good spicy and flavorful. Been here a few times. They sometimes pass me up to help people that came behind me. Which was not a huge deal since they're pretty fast. Today they made it a really bad experience due to 3 reasons all together! 1. Ice bag that touched the ground also dipped inside the drink bucket. Looks pretty routine. Not sanitary. 2. Passed up to serve people behind me. This happened a few times in the past because I didn't speak the language. Ignored because they have good food. 3. They served me burnt meat several times before, but this time is way over the line. They intentionally hid the burnt meat by flipping it over so the burnt side is underneath. See image. This is a local go-to spot for my wife and I when we're craving a burrito. There's typically a line, but it goes by quick. Their Al Pastor and Asada are pretty good and the best part is the condiments you get to bag up yourself. My favorite is the red onions. I was excited to eat a good mexican burrito. I was very disappointed because I love cilantro but not onion and they mixed the two. I saw a worker with fresh cilantro uncut and I ask if they could cut me a little for my burrito I ebrn told them I'll pay for it. They would not. So much for customer byservice. After being disappointed from chubby skewers I saw that they were selling tacos next to where I parked. I love supporting my hard working taqueros but these people suck. Upon arrival I greeted everyone hello and they decided to make snarky remarks in spanish about us to each other. The vibe just threw me off so we just got 1 asada taco. The cook ignored me when I asked for one taco. so I had to repeat myself more loudly. He then sarcastically repeated just 1 asada taco as if I was wasting his time. I asked the lady how much was the taco and she quoted me 50 cent more than the menu price and I had to correct her that was not the price listed on her menu. We were visiting my cousin in the area and looking for a place for dinner. She and her husband took us out to this taco stand in front of Nogales High School because they always see a line for it and wanted to try the tacos here. This stand is located right on the side walk along with other stands. What I love is that they have the al pastor hanging on a spindle with a pineapple on too. Anytime we see this, we have to get it. The lines were long but the wait wasn't too bad. While you're waiting for your number to be called, you can watch the men make tacos or you can head over to the condiment table to grab all the salsas and sauces and toppings that you want. They have huge containers pre made at the table and you can grab whatever. We took the tacos home to eat. And I loved the al pastor. The meat was flavorful and perfect. The mullita took it to the next level with all the melted cheese in the meat. The salsas were perfect amount of heat. Definitely make a stop here if you get the chance. This is my go-to taco spot. I park either in the high school parking lot or on the residential street next to it. They're almost always set up in front of Nogales High School, so I can count on Tacos Santa Cruz most days for a quick, easy, delicious meal. I order the same thing every time. Tacos al pastor, at $2/taco. They're the real deal, with the meat and a pineapple on a rotating spit. What makes them stand out is that the pork is sliced very thin (but they don't skimp on the meat!), which highlights the texture of the crispy parts that were more exposed to the heat and also makes the tacos easier to eat since the meat isn't overly chewy. Almost tastes like cha siu. There's also almost always a bit of pineapple on each taco, although sometimes the slices are bigger and sometimes they're smaller. I assume when the pineapple is running out for the night, the slices get a bit smaller, but that's to be expected. There's the usual variety of toppings and salsas available, but I find that they're not really needed for the al pastor since those tacos have pineapple on them already. You can get the food to-go (wrapped up in foil) or "for here" on paper plates to eat on the sidewalk / by your car / wherever you want. I come here about once a week, sometimes more, because the pastor is just that good. read more

So happy there's a delicious street taco stand near us. Tacos Santa Cruz looked questionable at first, but my wife and I finally decided to give it a try a while back, and have revisited it several times since. The tacos here cost $2 each (cash only) and are all very delicious. My personal favorite is the Suadero. All of their meat choices, though, are grilled nicely and are flavorful. For the most part, their tacos have always been consistently delicious with few exceptions where we waited a bit too long before eating them. Expect a slight wait, since this stand usually has a decent number of customers. But you can always grab toppings and salsas while you wait. There is a bit of a language barrier. The lady taking orders does not understand English. I'm not sure if this is the reason, but also our last few visits have been less than perfect since there have been mixups in our orders (e.g. Pastor instead of Suadero - but Pastor tastes great too). But since the taste, for the most part, has always been good and there aren't many other street tacos near us, I'd still say this is a great stop if you're in the mood for tacos late at night. read more

This taco stand is located by Nogales High and there's only street/neighborhood parking which can get packed. I've been here several times and I've tried the tacos, burrito, torta, and quesadilla. My favorite is hands down the Al pastor especially the Al pastor tacos with pineapple. It's cooked on a spit and sliced to serve. Tacos are $2 which is pretty good considering the amount of meat they serve. Actually all the dishes come with a good amount of meat. Everything I've tried has been really good like the asada and chicken. They also have salsa bar which I really like because you can help yourself to the four different salsas, limes, cucumbers, radishes, onion and cilantro. They have a green salsa that's got a good taste but not too spicy, another green salsa that's more avocado based and not spicy, a red salsa which is spicy and good, and a orange-ish salsa I haven't tried. They also provide bags and containers which is a nice touch. This taco stand is a must try. read more
