    Fried ice cream !
    Grace A.

Our family has been going here for over 15 years ! It's our go to local Mexican restaurant. I love their Carnitas burrito with a side of sour cream. Family owned. My husband had the three item which comes with soup or salad. He picked the salad. The three items were chile relleno, enchilada and a beef taco. Hubby ate everything except the enchilada. Complimentary chips & salsa are provided ! Yum ! We ordered the fried ice cream for dessert ! It was so big my hubby and I shared. Sharing is caring !

The food is amazing. I get the wet burrito ranchero every time. The wet burrito comes with beans, rice, choice of shredded beef, chicken or pork. The burrito is topped with a sauce and cheese and comes with guac and sour cream side. The shredded beef is seasoned really well, not dry or bland. The beef is a little too salty for me at times, but tasty. My dad got the crispy beef taco and chile relleno combo. My dad really liked his food. The restaurant is really consistent in food quality and taste. The ambiance is okay, tv's in every corner. There's Mexican cultural art on the walls, depicting a story or legend. The restaurant has lots of booths and tables. There is not much decor besides the pictures, which have been there since I was a kid. There was a humming and beeping noise coming from the kitchen. The noise was fairly loud and distracting. The service is good. I went with my dad and our server was fast. We got our waters and chips immediately. Our entrees came 10 minutes later.

Stopped here for lunch today while working in the area and it was nice, not the best but above average. Service was good and the food was good as well. I had shrimp quesadillas and everyone had different dishes. Nice restaurant and would come back if I'm in the area.

3 Chicken Taquito Plate. Fantastico !!!

First time going there. I ordered the 3 chicken taquitos plate. The meal was so good and very authentic. They have so many different items to choose from. I wish I could order everything. I figure every time I go; I will order something new and that would be just as great. Please try this place. By the way the place was full to capacity. Good sign. I ordered by phone for pick up and they had it ready. 3 Thumbs Up!!!

    Shredded beef sope.

Went in on a Saturday with our softball team (big group). We had made a reservation so they reserved the area with booths for us. Considering we had a large group, the restaurant seemed well prepared to receive us. They had a few servers waiting for our group. We ordered drinks and they came out quickly. The staff was very nice and everyone was very patient. I ordered a taco with carnitas and 1 beef sope. The carnitas were not oily and greasy but moist. The restaurant mentioned that their carnitas are steam cooked. The taco itself was topped with pico de gallo. I personally like cilantro and onion toppings with hot sauce or jalapeños but the order does not include that. The tacos are each served with 2 tortillas. The sope was just the right size for me, not too big. The beef on sope is served shredded and topped with lettuce, cream and a little cheese. The amount of lettuce was a bit much but overall the sope was good. I enjoyed the music selection played while we dined. Nothing too blaring but tasteful.

My burrito and a large horchata came to about $16, so no complaints there. The burrito was generously sized and perfectly respectable. Was it life-changing? No. Did it ruin my day? Also no. It simply showed up, did its job, and minded its business. The flavors could have used a little more salt, and the salsa was too smoky for me. We weren't compatible, but I wish her well. The standout? The rice was fluffy. And sometimes, when you don't have much else to say, you give the rice its flowers. But before ordering, we waited over 10 mins just to take our order. The restaurant was short staffed with only 1 server tending to 8 tables and 4 to go orders during our dining. She was very nice and served with a smile but she was pulled from all different directions and also checking the back to serve the good. I felt very bad for her and wished she had more help so it was a better experience for the customers and staff. All the food here is very reasonable with huge portions you can share as family style. I higher recommend the chicken quesadilla and the steak and check fajitas. I don't recommend the nacho since the plate portion seemed light compared to other places. The plate looked much later in the menu pictures. We also ordered the Pancho Molcajete that came with shrimp, steak, cheese and onions. it was not worth $42 and no it doesn't serve for 2 people. It was more of the black salsa sauce in the bowl than the actual food. Very disappointing and not worth the price. I would come back to order to go but not ever come back for a sit down!

However, none of the usually warm attributes of a family owned establishment. The was a distinct lack of color and warmth. Service: The service was good. I was greeted quickly and shown to a table very promptly too. (It was 4pm so it was after the lunch crowd and before dinner.) I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to experience the best possible service.) Menu: The menu had lots of options but I was set on exploring their taco Tuesday special. I ordered one of each. Food: My first surprise was when I was offered chips and salsa for $1.99. This is usually a free item at most restaurants but I thought to myself, if they are going to charge, then it must be something to talk about. I WAS WRONG! The chips were homemade but not to order. As a result, they were cool to the touch. The portion was modest and the salsa itself was barely an elevated tomato purée. That was almost no discernible spice to it. Then came the tacos. They were the small traditional street taco size which was just fine. However, none of the 4 tacos that I ordered had any noticeable heat. They were not quite cool to the touch but the certainly were not hot either. The presentation was nice as they were set on a long rectangular plate side by side and dressed with traditional cilantro and onions. I ordered 4 different meat types but the only offered one small shot glass sized salsa for all 4 of them. Sense of welcome: They were showing one of the World Cup games. In other circumstances, I might have ordered more tacos, maybe a dessert or even a beer. Unfortunately, at this point, I didn't want to stay. If I wanted more chips, they were going to charge another $2. It wasn't the $2 that was the problem, it was simply that nothing to that point was worth staying for. If they cannot get a simple plate of tacos served correctly when there was nobody else in the restaurant, I don't think there's any reason to go back to try anything else. I would have been better off at a taco truck.

Most of the places just give you tacos with onion/cilantro/salsa and you grab side toppings separately. I actually enjoyed it because they threw a little bit of everything on there. The burrito was a good size; when measuring burrito size, it should always make your hand look small, and be heavy enough to shock the table if you drop it. This burrito was perfect. The al pastor had bits of crunch with good the balance of fat and flavor, but not too greasy at all. There was more meat than beans, and also a good amount of onions. The lady tossed a load of hot sauce cups in the bag, but only 1 green but 9 reds... I usually like having a good amount of both to try, but next time. The red was a bit spicy but pretty good. I gave the green up to my wife. Overall, good spot for burritos but definitely willing to come back for their other menu items.
