This is our third time stay at Abbots Trailside Lodging. We have stayed in the motel section, the house in back and now a cabin. Every stay has been wonderful! It is clean, the people are friendly and the management is amazing! You can leave your trailer and jump right on the trails from your lodging. We had one issue during this stay, that I sent an email about. Not only did management answer immediately they showed up in person within 15 minutes to correct the issue. This place was more than we expected! It was adorable and so clean (thank you Maria!) the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the trails are right at your backyard. It was perfect for us. There was a very large firepit, with a supply of wood (more for purchase on site) which we didn't use, but will next time. The cabin had a large covered porch with chairs and a picnic table, perfect for eating. The kitchen had everything we needed for the weekend! We will be back for sure! Great place!!! Charming, adorable, super comfortable and clean! Our stay in one of the cabins was the highlight of my summer; you enjoy all the peace and serenity of Maine while still having all of the delightful "creature comforts": high quality beds, super effective air conditioning, steaming hot showers, cable TV (tons of channels) and internet that work without interruption, and all utensils and appliances needed to cook and make drinks to enjoy on the spacious private covered porch. The cabins, while adorably lined up close together, offer lots of room to move around inside as well as your own personal space around the cabin, complete with a fire pit for each cabin. I was just in heaven the whole time I was there; I hope to make in an annual tradition. Best of all, I had a very positve interaction with the owner, Matt, and I was so impressed with how much integrity he has and how much it means to him that his guests enjoy their stay. 5 stars! read more

My family (4 plus a dog) stayed at one of the brand new cabins. This is a very nice room. Modern conveniences with the feel of a outdoor living. They clearly thought of what a family would need for a nice stay. Check In and communications were seamless. Very friendly and helpful. Only negative was the internet was spotty at times, even inside the cabin. For anyone visiting this part of Maine, I would recommend this spot. read more

We randomly found this place while looking for a place to stay while exploring the trail system in this area. What a find! We stayed in cabin 5 and we fell in love with the place. It was spotless! I always worry about smell with places that allow dogs but this place smelled great. It has all the comforts of home and everything you would need. We stayed two nights. Bed was SO comfy and I loved the linens. I had to call the office/owners once and they were super responsive. The trails are right there behind the camp so you can't get much better than that. We can't wait to go again! As we left this morning we stopped at the famous bakery and WOW! What a place! Loved our yummy treats. THANK YOU! read more

This is an excellent find up north! Only 10 minutes from Monson abs 30 from Greenville! Super clean rooms, very comfy beds and bedding, nice little table to eat & work on, neat grounds, fridge & microwave were very clean too and off the beaten path! I felt very safe staying there as a single women traveling alone. I liked the cameras set up around the facility. Would highly recommend and will be back!!!!! read more

Abbot Trailside Lodging is the perfect place for people looking to ride ATV's, UTV's, or dirt bikes right from your room or cottage. The hotel style rooms are modern, clean and spacious. Matt will work with you personally to make sure every detail of your reservation is as perfect as can be. It's easy self check-in with daily cleaning/towel refresh as needed. The beds are amazing. The trails seem endless and offer a lot of easy with some more technically spots if you search them out, don't be afraid to explore! I recommend staying here to anyone interested in riding and I believe they are at times open during snowmobile season too. read more

We stay here almost every thanksgiving for a few days due to our families cabin being nearby. We make a long weekend out of it, the rooms are clean and comfortable. We have not had any issues whatsoever. The cost per night is very affordable as well. We love the location and feel of the low key Maine living. read more

We needed to be close to family who live in Guilford and this small hotel met all of our needs. Our room was large, clean, comfortable, and modern. Microwave, small fridge, free wi if, satellite tv., and memory foam beds. Check in is unattended but easy and complication free. Winter storm dumped 6.5 inches of snow on the first night, but staff was there next morning clearing the parking area for easy access. We will stay here again. As it was winter, we did not use the porch area, but during the rest of the year, I know it would be put to great use. read more

We spend one night there. It's a small place with four rooms. The room was large. The interior is new and very nice. The room was clean. The room is equiped with two king beds, cable/satelite TV, fridge and free WiFi. There is a nice patio in front of the room where we enjoyed the September sun. The check in information (key code for the room) is provided by email upfront. It's very convinient. You arrive and go directly into the assigned room. If we need a room in the center of Maine, we will come back. read more

I stayed Friday until Sunday afternoon In cabin 6. This place is Beautiful!! My children 16 and 6 loved it. There were all the amenities, dishes to cook meals, dish soap, paper towels you don't have to bring anything besides your family and food. It was very quiet which was AMAZING and peaceful. The cabin was spotless and very homey. There was a fire pit for s'mores and which we loved as well. They sell bundles of wood for $5 on the property which is convenient. Check out was 10:30am on Sunday I called and paid an extra $20 to stay till noon so I could feed and pack up my children and the owner/manager had no problem or question what so ever and was okay with it. I cleaned the cabin as it was when I arrived to save the house keeper work, This is an amazing place, it is a little drive from anywhere but it's Maine and that's to be expected and being secluded was great.. What a sweet spot - quiet and spacious, yet right on the ATV trail. Modern conveniences in a rural area - awesome.

After being "washed out" this Memorial Day, at our campsite at Balsam Woods Campground, we decided to switch to something a little more dry and warm. Matt and Jamie, the owners, were more than accommodating and understanding. They moved our reservations to the only room available at the Lodge. What a pleasant surprise! From the moment you walk in the door you feel right at home! We stayed in Rm#1, which is a handicapped accessible room, and is quite a decent size. It had two queen beds, memory foam mattress (firm), fluffy pillows, and the most gloriously soft blankets and sheets! The bathroom was large with a tub/shower which was a great change from the typical stand-up shower! There was a flat screen TV on the wall in front of the beds with cable, and an extremely fast wifi! Everything was new from the carpets to the paint! Needless to say, we slept great that night! The next morning we enjoyed a breakfast from our grill under the covered porch outside our room. I can't say enough great things about Abbot Trailside Lodging! We will surely be returning on our next trip to Maine! read more

The Abbot is a great place to stay when you are snowmobiling!! Perfect accommodations. Comfortable memory foam beds ~ 2 queen size. Small fridge, microwave & coffee pot. Very clean. I admit I was a little nervous with a self check-in place in an area I knew nothing about but I was happy with the whole experience. We were heading up to Moosehead for a 6am tour and didn't want to pay the unbelievable prices but everything nearby. This was $80 during peak season and the rooms were HUGE. Everything updated and beds were the comfiest of our entire Maine stay. There are many "neighbors" in nearby houses and a Webcam outside so we felt safe even though we arrived at 11pm and left at 5 am when it was dark outside. Wish we had more time here. Would definitely stay again if I was ever in the area. read more

OK. This was a new experience for me. This is a lodge with only 4 rooms in a very quiet somewhat remote area (there are some houses nearby which helped me feel better about the situation. There is no one there, Apparently they are supposed to have a kiosk set up for key retrieval but was not at the time we stayed there. We called the number on a paper that was on the door to the room and my husband talked to (I'm assuming the owner) and he gave him the code to unlock the door and there was a key to the room inside. This is new to me so I was a little freaked out by the whole thing but my husband says it's not unheard of especially if you are a hunter . Long story short : the room was gorgeous, everything looked brand new, very stylish . There is a nice porch with chairs for you to enjoy the view. It did have free WiFi which didn't work too well after a while at night but in the morning worked just fine( have no idea why) . The only 2 items I would add to make the room perfect would be a hairdresser and an iron . We would definitely stay there again. By the way, GPS takes you to the wrong place (not far, just to a house on the left and the lodge is on the right) read more

Loved this place!! Short and sweet, it was warm, comfy, clean, and accommodating! Quick wifi and all channels for cable on a flatscreen tv! Also had a charge station for your USB devices! Very bright room during the day and nice and quiet in the evening. My husband and I found a new great place to stay in the cold weather when we visit Abbott! We are soo glad we have this place to go to. The surrounding options/hotels are horrible! Owners are great and respect privacy, So much, that we stay at their campground Balsam Woods during the summertime when we visit. Highly recommend both places in Abbott to check out!! Another weekend trip to Abbot trail side inn, as usual the room was clean and we had a blast on the trails with our atv's. There was a couple times that there were clean...old used room towels that were marked as to use to clean ATV's or snowmobiles, we did not find them this time, maybe they ran out of old towels, but let me tell you they sure came in handy and this weekend the trails were super dusty and I could have used one. But it is not a issue, the rooms are always clean and have plenty of how water to shower and coffee right there for you to enjoy. If you are looking for a place to stay in the part of the state, you can't do better than here! We will be back!! read more

Loved it here. Spent 3 nights to go snowmobiling. Cannot beat the proximity to the trails- right behind the building! Plenty of parking too. The room was big and immaculate. Memory foam beds. Mini-fridge, microwave and a Keurig. Checking in was super convenient. Best of all: pet-friendly! We will absolutely be coming back. What a great find!! read more
