Shower was plastic and sank a little when I stood in it. Toiletries - made in China which seems to be the trend unfortunately these days at US hotels. The quality though of the Chinese made product was better than what is usually stocked at US hotels. Great towels though! Check-in is down a narrow rock covered drive. Stay 2: I got a different room and the bathroom was much better than the other room. Bed again was super comfortable. I had people above me but they were quiet types so no problem there. For both stays, I was able to park close to the rooms. This B&B is set back from the Main road and both times I stayed I was in a building in back on a quiet residential road. Nice quiet stay and nice little outdoor areas on both sides of the building. They had a hummingbird feeder set up. I enjoyed walking a bit on this quiet road. Almost five star stay.

We accidentally spilled an iced tea and we were on our own scrambling taking napkins from the empty tables to resolve the problem. No staff in sight for long, long periods of time. No ability to get a refill on the drinks either because there was no one to ask. We waited and waited for our check. Finally the waitress (there was only one) was up behind the counter and my husband went up and asked for the check. She was very polite and apologized. We were in the restaurant section and there was quite a crowd in the tavern. Just need more staff. Everything else was great and we will definitely go again.

I wrote another review about that place. Luckily we found this one and were very happy here. There was no one on site but I telephone number on the door which we called and paid for a room over the phone and we're giving a code to use the keyless entry to our room. I found this extremely convenient for late arrival. The room was cute the shower was awesome and overall it was very clean and very well stocked. Cabinets held pots pans dishes and utensils for the heating plate that was there in addition to a toaster oven and refrigerator. The price was exceedingly reasonable. We really enjoyed our stay here, it was clean and quiet and so well appointed. We definitely recommend it.

Didn't notice the "VACANT" when you walked in, eh? Well you sure noticed me! I hightailed it back, heard that person rush back to their room, and the bathroom was all set for my shower. Unforgettable is a positive thing, right? Can't really speak to the hotel staff as they were never present - just had my key at the front desk and name/room number. Anyone could walk in there and take a key and a room - until the person whose room it was supposed to be walks in and doesn't have a key. Not great, but at least the room locks! Oh, and my room had a reclining rocking-couch. I kid you not. I wanted to sit down and I had to jam a fireplace log under it so I could sit without it rocking all over the place. (I wanted to try to sit down with wifi. That wasn't happening.) Verdict: If you need to stay in Lincoln, I don't want to be too harsh with my star rating. I wish they would have had the opportunity to stay at this lodge. Beautiful grounds, huge room with deck overlooking the grounds and the lake. The room showed an attention to detail that I've not seen before and we have travelled. Bathroom was large and new and stocked with high end products. Staff were outstanding. The general manager greeted us, showed us around, and made sure we we felt at home. Breakfast was included and it didn't disappoint. Would encourage the inclusion of Paso Robles wines on their wine list (they are Nor Cal centric). Other than that, wouldn't change a thing. While in town, be sure to drop by the historic railroad depot. It's a great piece of American/Canadian history. We will be back!

Our attempt at polite conversation was shot down with chilly responses and an overall irritated demeanor. The room was odd as there was a refrigerator located by the toilet and a coffee machine adjacent. Unsanitary. There is a spooky energy as we never saw Beverly again and felt like she abandoned the place after begrudgingly meeting us for check in. No dining on the premises on the Wednesday we checked in, no food delivery allowed, and no warning to book the on premises dining in advance. According to another Yelp reviewer, the dining was not worth it to begin with. I wish we had checked Yelp before booking. Beverly ruined our stay.

The Inn itself is quaint and historic and the perfect location for an event or a group getaway. It is right next to the water and just beautiful. There are canoes to use as well as games and books inside. They are also just great restaurant and bar as well, with amazing specialty drinks and an eclectic collection of local beer and IPAs on tap. I highly recommend this place for your summer or fall getaway. I know we'll be back.

For a hotel complimentary premade breakfast, theirs was excellent and one of the best we'd ever had. Lots of bacon. They had a very cool touchless pancake maker. Cons: The décor is very dated - we stayed on the 3rd floor that was decorated with a long row of first lady photos along both sides of the corridor hall - honestly it felt like something out of the Shining. There were odd sinks in the hallway near the elevator. The ice machine on the 1st floor was great but the ice machine on the 3rd floor didn't work and on the 2nd floor did not produce a lot of ice. The spa is tiny and no children allowed and the swimming pool is not connected to the hotel but in the parking lot. We wish they'd start the breakfast at 6am on weekends - we had an adventure planned so we had to leave at 7am when the breakfast just opened so we missed that morning. Keep perspective - this is not a posh modern hotel. Once you get used to its oddness, the hotel is a good, more affordable place for a good night's rest. We needed a hotel in Bangor ME for Labor Day Weekend - we checked the major chain hotels and the prices were all super expensive as it looks like they doubled their prices for the holiday weekend. Best Western White House Inn was the most affordable of what we could find. We noticed when we google mapped the hotel location, it was listed in Hampden ME as they are closer to Hampden but the Bangor address must be more desirable.
