Awesome pizza! I travel through Madress often, and Abby's is one of the best. In my opinion.

Abby's is always a stop for our family when we are on our waterskiing vacation! We were able to phone our order ahead of time, shortening our wait time. The employees were very friendly and apologetic for the length of time to receive our order. They were very busy on this Thursday night. We ordered to go on the App, we went in 35 minutes later and it took another 20+ minutes to get the pizza. It was ready, however the cashier at the takeout was likely new and inefficient. There was one person in front of me. And the cashier kept taking phone orders and not helping us in line. By the time I left there were 5 people standing in line behind me and another 5 people standing in line to order. They need to work in teams with new people and during busy times. read more

I usually have great experiences eating out but this was not one of them. And let me preface with the only reason I gave it 2 stars is that my food was correct and I ate it before I knew what you're about to read. We stopped here after a decent time in the car (about 5 hours) and totally ready for some stretch break including lunch. We have an Abby's nearby home so we knew we liked the menu and stopped in for lunch. At first glance the restaurant seemed decent. Small, it had 3 tables reserved for what I'm assuming was a little girls birthday party-- but plenty of seating. We walked towards the order counter and grabbed a menu and the lady at the counter immediately asked what we wanted. We nervously laughed stating we were not quite ready and noticed she seemed kind of hissy we weren't ready. We finally decided- Medium pizza: half hawaiian, 1/2 lone star chicken and pepperoni. One salad bar, two drinks. I got my salad-- which the salad bar looked a little sad, wilty lettuce and such, but I know sometimes that can happen pretty fast so I moved on and ate my salad. Until I found some hairs in it-- but they totally could have been mine right? Of course, I told myself. The pizza came out. It was half hawaiian, half BBQ chicken, pepperoni and pineapple. That wasn't what we ordered. I told my husband we could go tell them, I'm sure they'd fix their error, he said it was okay so we picked off the pineapple from his side and scraped some of the BBQ sauce off. At the end we had a few pieces leftover we thought we would take with us so I went to the counter for a box. I watched an employee smoke her e-cigarette in the office with the door open to the kitchen. I stood there watching her, then watching flies land on the prep counters/cutting board. After a couple minutes, she stopped, put it away and turned towards me to get me a box. Gross. We won't be back, ever. read more

Great experience. We are from out of state and have never heard of Abby's. We were camping at a local campground. To our luck the wind so bad that day that outdoor cooking was out. So we looked up local pizza and found Abby's. Ordered online and was told it be ready in 30 mins and it sure was. Staff was very helpful when I arrived to pickup order. Lo nges wait times EVER! And they constantly mess up the orders. This last time was the worst ever. We placed our order to go at 6pm. Sixteen pc chicken w spuds and two salads. They said 45 min. wait. I arrive at 6:45. Our order isn't ready yet. A few minutes longer. I pay. As I'm waiting I notice a kid begin to make our salads. Ugh. After 45 min they don't even have our salads made. Then another 15 minutes go by. we are at one hour now. Salads are done but still no chicken. I see several other folks come up and get chicken boxes. Several pizzas. But not our order. Then the lead worker comes out and tells me they accidentally split our chicken into two buckets and gave to others. But their putting more chicken down. Now it's been 1 hour and 5 min. Of course I say refund my $ and well just leave w the salads. This of course takes another 5 min and she still charges me for the salads. salads that took an hour to get. WTF. we wont be back. I usually don't review restaurants or fast food places online, but I'm fed up with Abby's in Madras, and I'll tell you why: First time I ordered a pizza it was fine. Nothing bad, nothing astonishing. Just okay. Overall not bad. Second time my pizza had a terrible odor. It was disgusting. When I asked other people if they could smell it. They weren't sure. I thought I was losing my mind Third time other people were able to confirm that YES, a weird odor was emanating from the pizza, and they also finally admitted they could smell something odd last time too. And it happened again, surely this could be explained, right? Maybe it was an off day or something. Nope, weird odor immediately noticeable. Other people immediately commented on it. Now for this next part, and sorry to any families with young kids using this site, but it smelled like @ss. Like someone literally rubbed their hindquarters on my pizza. It was bad. So either the ingredients are several weeks old or something funky is going on with the management. I can only imagine. Either that or I did something to aggravate them, resulting in a stinky pizza. I'm totally suspicious and kind of grossed out. You might as well go buy some cheap fast food, because at least that would smell somewhat pleasant. Good lord. read more

First the good: the crust was very tasty. Probably one of my favorites for a pizza franchise. The toppings were abundant. The interior was like a pizza place should be. The bad: we were the only ones in there and our pizza took 45 minutes to get to us. And it wasn't do to them being busy with delivery. They remarked that we were their only order. They knew we were eating there and gave us our pizza in a box with no plates. The pizza had obviously been done for awhile and they had forgotten about us. It was cold. I like cold pizza so we didn't complain mainly because we didn't want to wait any longer. We were offered no silverware, plates or Parmesan so we had to round these things up. Also we had to sit at a dirty table because there were no clean ones that were the size for two people. For as expensive as the pizza was I guess I expected more. I've had bad pizza before, and I've had good pizza from Abby's before. BUT, the 1 pizza I had at this location was the worst pizza I've ever had! I almost wonder if they were playing a prank on us! The pizza had sooo many mushrooms on it, and they were cut so thick, they did not cook. The huge mushrooms were put on the pizza first, so nothing else would stick. Every piece we picked up had all the toppings fall off! Overall, a very funny experience...but bad pizza.
