Patty melt, burnt bread, overcooked fries

Not worth the money, burnt bread, Burnt fries. Really disappointed in the price also almost $16!

I had higher expectations. About five years ago, I visited this Tastee Treet on a warm July evening and had some amazing milkshakes with my family. I should have left that idyllic memory clearly in the past. Fast forward to recent weeks, I went to the same location after a day of work and ordered the Round Up Burger combo. The location is like I stepped back in time, but not in that Route 66 kind of way, but more in that small town, home style kind of way. It's the kind of place you go after school, or go on your first teenage date, or after the game, win or lose. I sat down at the counter and was unenthusiastically greeted by a young lady working there who gave me the distinct impression she would rather be anywhere else but there. I specifically ordered the burger without pickles, because I can't stand pickles, and she kind of nodded and didn't write it down. This was actually the last I saw of her as she disappeared into the back to cook the food. Now the defining feature of the Round Up Burger, which is a variation on the BBQ western cheeseburger is the BBQ sauce, which was void on the burger I received, and it was absolutely loaded with pickles. A moment later another girl showed up, and I explained that I ordered it without pickles and that it was missing BBQ sauce. The second girl seemed eager to please, and was a vast improvement over the first girl. She brought BBQ sauce for my burger and removed the pile of pickles I had taken off the burger and placed upon a napkin on the side. I put the sauce on the burger, and took a bite, and it still seemed dryer than the Nevada desert I had driven through a few days before. But still, the second girl still seemed like she had a grasp on customer service and was checking on me constantly, attempting to gauge my satisfaction, or lack thereof. The fries were pretty good, hand cut, and seasoned. I also had a tea/lemonade drink, which the second girl was checking to see if I needed more. I don't exactly know what I was expecting from this location, perhaps I'd built it up in my mind from a previous visit, where everything seemed perfect, and got an experience that was anything but. I don't know either of the girls who work there, but I definitely think that the second girl tried hard to turn around a bad encounter, and deserves to be recognized for her efforts. While she tried hard, it still didn't sell me on going back there for anything other than a milkshake in the future.

tastee treat just doesn't give a shit about their quality of food. everytime i go there the food is trash. I ordered an order of tater tots and got a box of burnt tot crumbs all lumped together. absolutely disgusting that these people serve the food they do

    - Excellent burger. Nothing fancy, just good. The burgers are not unusually large but certainly will be enough for most folks, along with a side. - Really funky, old diner. The layout with two separate areas accessed by different doors is actually kinda cool. I don't know why.

Quintessential old burger and shake joint! There soft serve is some of the best I've had. We like their burgers too. Fries were nice and hot. Free parking lot. Order inside or at the drive through. Very friendly staff!

Traditional hamburger and malt shops are almost a thing of the past and the ones that still do exist most often just are not good. Not the case with Tastee Treet! Homemade shakes of many flavors, hamburgers and cut fries are all just plain wonderful. Our banana shake gets 5 stars! The hamburgers were nice and my spicy fries were delish.

I'm a visitor in town and thought their food was pretty good. Fry's were a little greasy but burger was good. Milkshake was great!

The best Mountain Burger anywhere but be careful if you don't like sweet pickle relish on your burger (I ask them to hold it off).

The restaurant was full when we visited but we only had to wait about 10 minutes. It seats about 35. One couple caught our attention & said "We're almost done!", which kind of reflected the ambiance of the whole place! We also noticed during our visit, that as the tables emptied one by one, people would stop at 2 or 3 tables on their way out to greet their friends. A very happy place! There was only 1 cook & 1 waitress who were both pros at handling the load. They loved their job which is a huge + for their guests! FOOD: It was all very good. But when Sharrah brought my "1/2" order of Sue's Cafe Breakfast, I said "I think this is the FULL order right?". She just laughed & said "Nope"! COFFEE: Well, I have to agree with some other reviews that it's pretty weak but not a deal breaker for this entire experience. Give them a try. Be prepared to wait a bit. You'll be glad you did. Plus you'll be very full! They're in a shopping center right next to Ray's grocery store.

Small portions of Food Services frozen hash browns. Gravy on biscuits almost devoid of sausage. Nothing wonderful at all. Oh, the coffee. Absolutely awful. Hope they become professional servers and don't discuss yesterday's 'take' in front of customers. I am not interested in overhearing two women discussing this. I arrived around 11am on a Thursday to find the place absolutely packed with people! As a lone diner, they were able to fit me right in at the counter seating. I'm not a big eater for breakfast, so I was very relieved when they said they could do a half order of biscuits and gravy. Thank goodness! When they brought out the "half order", the singular biscuit was HUGE. And the bowl of gravy was generous. The biscuit was like a giant version of my Southern born grandmother's biscuits, and the gravy was very traditional and tasty. I looked around at my fellow diners' plates, and the portions all seemed incredible, especially for the prices I saw on the menu. The guy waiting the counter was super friendly and fun to chat with, as was another local to my right. This is 100% that local favorite breakfast place, as evidenced by the packed restaurant at 11am on a Thursday. It's down home and real. Nothing fancy, but the food is honest.
