I really wanted to give this place more stars. Most of the food was phenomenal and would honestly give this place another shot. Where it went wrong was I ordered a medium rare prime rib that came out well done. The server offered to have a new one made which I took advantage of. What came out the 2nd time was another well done piece of meet what made matters worse was the time that it took and everyone in my part finished their dinner while I was still waiting. As far as everyone else in our group, they lowered their meals. I will say, the Brussels sprouts were a 100 out of 10 (the best I have ever had). Our server was friendly but never offered to make things financially right when I clear didn't eat any of the prime rib that was over cooked. read more

I ordered a side salad (server said it was romaine - not!! it was spring mix) and a cheeseburger with fries. I also got a bottomless soda. The salad was good except that I had specifically said I wanted crunchy lettuce and she said it was Romaine. No, it was weeds!! The burger was SO DRY!! I almost got the hiccups, especially since she didn't refill my soda in a timely fashion. The french fries were great, however, and they almost made up for the other two fails. Highly recommend for a family meal with kids after visiting Smith Rock! The portions are very generous. The American burger was generous with the bacon. The salad were abundant (I would order a half portion next time). Lettuce was crisp and fresh. Kids under 8 eat for free (if you order an entree for the adult). When we arrived we noticed a live band playing outside. We went inside to get a table and they were able to seat us right away. All the employees we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We had a very large group (13 people) and the staff put together enough tables and chairs for us to sit inside. Outside would have been nice, but there weren't enough open tables. The restaurant is pet friendly (outside). Servers were great. They were attentive, quick, and helpful. Food was delicious. I had steak and mashed potatoes. All the food was cooked perfectly, for everyone in our large group. Due to the size of our group, not all the food came out at the same time, but it all came pretty quickly. No complaints at all. I love coming here. Especially after a good hike. This place is always a hit. My kinda bar. My kinda people. The server was amazing. They have both regular seating and a bar area. First time I ever heard this. I drove 45 minutes to order three dinners to go and was told that their kitchen was too busy at 6:45 on a Saturday and they weren't taking anymore orders, to go or dine in. So make sure you call ahead to see if they're willing to serve you first. read more

What a great place! We went there for my husband's birthday and all 4 of us had yummy entrees. The burgers, wraps, and salads were great and the birthday dessert was amazing. Our waitress was super nice and provided excellent service. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant and hope to return soon. read more

We found ourselves waiting 40 minutes at Brand 44 for brunch and decided to try this place again. On a mild Sunday (1/2 the restaurant was empty inside and outside), we waited 15 minutes to even be greeted by our server. 10 minutes after that to get water and it's 82° outside where we were seated. The food that followed was just as subpar. We ordered fried pickles that tasted like old oil used for fish and chips, chicken strips for my kid that were really dry and a bacon blue cheese burger that had zero flavor. We went Pump House with family yesterday. Nice afternoon in 70s we enjoyed sitting outside and enjoyed their cold beer! Good burger and fries, friendly server and she is very quick. Wife had pasta. The Pumphouse is our families favorite place to go for lunch or dinner! Their clam chowder is THE BEST in Central Oregon in my opinion and rivals any you'd find on the coast. Try anything on the menu, you can't go wrong. Their specialty cocktails are awesome! Also, try the Flank Roundup, Ahi dinner or the Ahi appetizer. Their steaks and pastas are consistent 5 stars!
