Dont let this review throw ya...2 stars simply states that we have had better, and as many places we have ate at...thats how it falls. Service was good...chips and water stayed full...I will say the salsa had a bit of a bite, and was a nice addition to the Queso. Plates looked fantastic...Wife went with Beef Chiladas, double rice...Me..Chicken Chilada, Rice, Crunchy Taco, Tamale and Refried Beans. And I picked up a Barbacoa taco on the side..my new weakness...Everything was alright, but just lacked in Flavor through out...I never, never add salt to my mexican food...and there wasnt much of an option. Mom and pop place right off 35 frontage road heading into Buda connected to a Shell station. Came here for breakfast and everyone was real nice! Who serves chips and salsa for breakfast? We stopped at this little place that's connected to a gas station on our way to float the river. We were all hungry, and Mexican food sounded like it would hit the spot. A friend did a little research, and this is what she found. I'm glad we stopped here. Food was reasonably priced. Service was beyond excellent (the best service we had all weekend at any restaurant we visited). Everyone enjoyed their food. I got the crispy beef tacos. They were pretty good, and the meat had amazing flavor. The taco shells themselves seemed a bit stale which was odd to me because they also seemed to be made there. I kept thinking I was just imagining things. Still, the food was good. I ate all of it, and got over the shells. I'm sure if I would have said something, they would have brought me new ones... But it wasn't really that big of a deal. Everyone else I was with enjoyed their meals. One of my friends is a vegan, and they were able to accommodate her. One of my friends got pancakes. Some got breakfast, some got lunch items. There was a big menu to choose from, but they didn't mess anything up. Definitely a spot worth stopping in at. read more

Cute place, right off the freeway and connected to the gas station. When we got there around 10:00 on a Sunday, it was about half full but nearly packed when we left so don't let the lack of reviews keep you away. The service was excellent and bounced seemlessly between three servers. I had a coffee and huevos rancheros, and some of the chips and salsa they serve you (even at 10 am!). The chips and salsa were fine, nothing too special but not bad. My main dish was very good--eggs cooked perfectly, ranchero sauce had good flavor and the refried beans were excellent. I prefer a crisped up corn torilla under the eggs and the ranchero sauce to be a bit chunkier, but I think that could be a regional thing so I won't hold it against them. The prices were good, the location was easy and I enjoyed my food and service - - would not hesitate to return! read more

Love this place so much! You would never think twice to check it out unless you're stopping for gas at the gas station next door. But, they're so friendly and kind. Our family comes here often. If you want solid and reliably good breakfast tacos that are super affordable (3 for $4.20!) from 6am-11am then you can't best it! They also have tasty horchata and other flavored beverages. We bring our toddler here and they staff are so sweet and kind to him too. So, in short - kid-friendly! I get cactus, potato, egg and cheese tacos on flour that are great. I can't tell you how amazing everyone was today. I work at the local Ford dealership and many of my friends/coworkers frequent the establishment. They love it and now I see just a couple of the reasons; authentic Mexican food that is quality (flavor, portions) plus the atmosphere is awesome and family operated. The most amazing thing happened when I screwed up the order and they demanded I take extra food at no charge when they had nothing to do with my mistake. They alone give me hope for humanity. Overall good place to grab some food next to the Shell - friendly staff, resonable prices, and good food. The Carne guisada was soft and had good flavor. The Gordita was crispy and beef fajita was good. I would get these two items again I didn't like the chicken fajita. It tasted like the chicken was boiled with no seasoning. read more

This is a great location with not so great food. If you're on the road and need something quick and tastes okay, this is the place. It's definitely "Tex-mex" - we ordered breakfast tacos to go and they were done in about 5 minutes which was great. Chips and red salsa weren't as spicy as I preferred. The salsa had quite a kick which paired perfectly with my egg & cheese and chicken fajita breakfast tacos. Added some avo and lime for the perfect combo. The hubs enjoyed the breakfast potatoes too. I work near there establishment and they have the most friendliest staff ever. They are attentive and always willing to help. Don't look at location and building, it doesn't do them justice. Al pastor is my favorite taco there and there omelets in the morning are great. Salsa is spicy and fresh and most importantly it is always clean in there.. always! That's is a big deal!! read more

Decent breakfast taco prices and it's located on IH-35 and it's attached to a gas station. It's better if you call ahead your food will be waiting for you and all you have to do is swipe your card. Came for bkfst tacos and they were really good! The tortillas are thin which is okay but then fill the tacos up. Got the chorizo, egg, chz and bacon, egg, chz. Def liked the chorizo better.
