I called in Sunday to make an appointment with them for my dryer and then i realized i can fix it myself. Monday morning i called to cancel the appointment at 9am (appt at 11am). No one picked up and i left the message, i called again at 11am making sure they got the message. The lady picked up and said i had to pay the flat diagnosis fee for canceling the appt at the appt time. I told her i called and cancelled and left the message. She said she didn't receive any voicemail. I told her i wouldnt pay her the fee because i didnt need the service. She said that I shouldnt call this service again because i took a spot of a customer. My friend recommended ABC Appliance Repair because she had issues with her appliance on or around a holiday and ABC Appliance went to her home and solved her problem. Several other companies she called wouldn't help her. I rarely use my oven and after having a baking disaster, I called ABC Appliance Repair to inspect my oven. Scheduling an appointment was easy and when the technician arrived he was very informative about why the oven wasn't working correctly for me. He also helped look for the filter on my refrigerator and suggested I use a vacuum to clean out the coils underneath. Very nice experience! read more

ABC Appliance Repair showed up as promised and quickly completed the repair of our leaking washing machine. It has been a month and the repair has not failed. Norman was kind and courteous. Additionally, he helped lift a heavy mechanical chair we were moving into a truck as a favor. We did not even ask him for that help but he did it as a favor. WARNING!!! Do NOT Do Business With ABC Appliance in Albuquerque They will not be honest about the prices of their parts or their labor. They refuse to provide an itemized list of what you're paying for. They insist that you pay them a "flat" fee, as they call it. You have no idea what they're replacing or repairing and what they're charging you for. When you ask for an itemized estimate they get nasty and rude and insist that "we told you we only work on a "flat fee basis". Actually, they tell you the opposite when you make your appointment and they assure you that they will provide a complete repair estimate with all of the information. They are not the only appliance repair company in Albuquerque... don't get ripped off by these guys. read more

Do not use this company. I had them come out to look at my fridge which they charged me $60 to do and was told I needed a new evaporated motor thermostat heater and defroster and would be almost $500 to fix it, and before they would come out to fix it I had to pay in advance. I also had sears come out and none of those parts had to be replaced to fix it and they charged me less than $200 to fix the same issues abc appliances was going to charge me almost $500 for. When I called to cancel the repair they told me they were going to have to charge me for trying to rip me off with unneeded repairs and canceling that appointment. Updated 10/12: The technician called me back at the end of the day as promised. We scheduled installation for yesterday morning and he arrived on time. They waived the cost for the part/installation due to the confusion. I'm pleased with the outcome. read more

Only place that called me back on a Saturday to come look at a refrigerator that was not cooling properly. Fair price on service call as well. Only $60 versus $100 for others. Don't use this company! The technician Norman said they needed to order parts from China to repair my Whirlpool refridgerator. It took a month "for the part to come in". Less than a year later I had the same problem and a technician from a different company said that the parts Norman/ABC Appliance Repair put on shouldn't have been used and weren't up to code. I also learned that Whirlpool parts are easily found locally and should take no more than three days to order. Now all my coolant has drained out and I'm looking at replacing those same parts plus damages they caused. read more

First, nobody EVER answers the phones. Maybe I haven't gotten a call back after leaving 4 messages because my compressor is still under warranty?! Next time, I'll get somebody else. There were constant delays and cancellations to return. read more

TERRIBLE JUST TERRIBLE!!! Wow, where do I start, if I co... Wow, where do I start, if I could give these guys ZERO stars I would as that is too many! Asked for them to come out and look at a dripping washer, got the quote and it was for $380 and this was with supposed $40 discount!! I was out of town at the time of the call so my wife took care of this, I called them back when she told me the quote to cancel, they told me I "HAD TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE CALL" in that rude tone, fine but it will have to be tomorrow when I get back. In the mean time ABC called back a total 12 times in the same day with in a 20 minute time frame! Then the next day when I got home at 3:30PM there was a threating letter to take us to small claims court to pay for the NON REPAIR/ORDER PART! Oh there is more now there is a threat of a civil suite case, wow ABC is this how you work, WAY over charge for the part, which was $49 I bought myself and replaced in 5 minutes! Yes $380 for a $49 part that took 5 minutes to replace, wow, if you need some repair completed, BEWARE of these guys!! Do you want to be overcharged, then threatened with phone calls then notes stuck to your front door for a canceled/over charged repair job, if so use them, there is plenty of other places in ABQ so choose wisely, I should have, now I have to hash this out with my lawyer, thanks ABC for being low class operation, I will tell EVERYONE I know and post in every possible online site I can, good luck with your case! UPDATE: Tried to call these scammers to resolved the issue but when the lady on the phone I talked to, she stated that it was "people like me that ruin her job and for others" that was it I asked to talk to the manager and was refused and was threatened with more of the law suit and civil suite if I did not pay right away! I asked again to talk to the manager and was yelled at for at least 2 more minutes. When the manager finally called me back, Norman was understanding at and said it would be dismissed and all was good, BUT as soon as I got off the phone Ray the tech called me back up and DEMANDED I pay, wow, then Norman called back with more idle threats, wow all this over $60, are you people that desperate for money that you are resorting to threats over the phone and posting letters to someones door, WOW, PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE as you WILL BE SORRY! read more
