We had a dryer making noise and not drying well. We contacted Marshall's through Yelp and setup an appointment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tim was slightly late, but well within the window set up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He got right to work, cleaned the dryer well and replaced some drum parts that had worn down. He also cleaned the vent again and got up on the roof to verify hot air was flowing from the vent while the dryer was in use. Even though he didn't arrive on the hour, he still spent the two full hours making sure the dryer was working its best. He left everything clean. I have to say that Tim did a great job on our appliances. We called Marshall Appliance Repair because our washing machine stopped running mid-cycle. The door locked so we couldn't even get the clothes out. Honestly, we were fully expecting to be told that our washing machine wasn't worth fixing and we should just buy a new one. In a couple of hours, Tim got it running again like new. After that good experience, we asked Tim to do a regular service on our dryer. He was so thorough. I was surprised to see the whole drum removed. Even more surprised to see the amount of lint hidden inside the machine. The vent underneath our microwave had not worked in years. We'd had many repair people try to fix it in the past but with no success. Tim figured out the problem and fixed it very quickly. On top of everything else Tim was a very nice and conscientious professional. We'll definitely be calling him again next time we need an appliance repaired. read more

The light in my refrigerator wasn't working and the ice maker was broken so Tim came over to fix it. He was very professional and completely amazing. I am a renter and it was clear the fridge hasn't been moved in quite some time. He cleaned the vents so it is more energy efficient than it was before, taught me a few things about when to notice future problems, and even adjusted the height of my refrigerator so it closes naturally. He completely went above and beyond. He noticed my air conditioning unit latch was not aligned right and even helped me fix that. Tim was able to come the day I called about a defrosting problem with my refrigerator. This was appreciated since it was leaking water all over the place. He fixed the problem with minimal fuss and made a modification that hopefully will prevent the problem from recurring. Tim was right in time for the appointment time. He was able to confirm that the icemaker needed replacing and had brought one with him. His work order request asks for a model and serial number and he was prepared. He made a quick install, cleaned a bunch of fuzz from under the fridge, showed me some tips to care for my appliance, and charged a super reasonable rate. Worth every cent and a truly honest guy. It took two calls and then he couldn't come for a couple of days. But when he came he was systematic and made sure the washer was fixed before he left. In fact, his first fix didn't work, but I appreciated that he stayed long enough to realize that. Others might have called it good and left, but he didn't. And then he changed a capacitor out on the control board (instead of insisting we replace the entire board). He is definitely competent, and he is also friendly.
