After having my car for almost 3 days and me pointing out they did not communicate accurately, the "manager" Darin Ortiz told me to get it fixed at another shop and they refused service!!! ABC had my vehicle longer than quoted. When received from them clear bra was missing, they broke a mud flap which was not repaired, doors were out of adjustment, molding they removed from a door was not replaced, believe it or not a running board that State Farm paid them for ($750) was "forgotten" to be put on. They had no regard for my inconvenience. I would certainly never use them... you are setting yourself up for disappointment and inconvenience. Ultimately the body work was fine, but any other shop would have done the same body work (mostly replaced-an aluminum Ford truck.) Think twice before using them! read more

How this place has good reviews baffles me. I brought my car here after a minor collision because it had great reviews and my mechanic had good things to say about them but BOY did these guys prove me wrong. After they did the initial estimate, they said they were scheduling cars 3 weeks out. That was fine by me so I scheduled it in early January. They also estimated that it would take 7-10 days. I thought that was long time especially since they had weeks to order the parts and this was only a fender bender but I didn't mind because I had heard about how great these guys were. A few days after I finally brought in my car for the appointment I still hadn't received an update. Every time I called they were very vague and kept saying they were "just finishing up" and it should be done "tomorrow or the next day". Which was fine at first, but they said that for an entire week. They never took the initiative to call me and update me themselves. I had to call them and ask every time. I was excited to finally have my car back after 2 weeks. They gave me the keys back and I looked at my car and there was still a giant scratch along the bumper cover and the molding was scratched as well. (See the picture) I brought it to Brian's attention and he said "sorry we didn't think that was related to the accident". We went and had to go look up pictures from the day they took the estimate and Brian says "wow yea that's exactly where the collision happened... don't know how we missed that." And he said some other stuff about this was really statefarm's fault. They did eventually fix it but I had to bring my car back in for another day after they were already 4 days over schedule the first time. The whole thing was a hassle. I wouldn't have minded the wait if the customer service was good and if the work was done correctly but that wasn't the case. I'll never go here again. Three weeks total to fix a fender bender? I couldn't imagine how long it would take if I had a serious collision. I doubt I'd ever see my car again. read more

Once returned there was overspray of clear coat on surrounding body parts, drips of paint down the sides of the hood, they failed to fix the cracked paint on the under side of the hood and the paint job on the fender was horrible (orange peel). This company lacks a proper final inspection and quality control. They did stand behind their work however and made it right. read more

I usually only yelp about Mexican restaurants, but exceptional service deserves to be recognized when it's delivered. I was driving through Colorado on my way to NYC when this now slaughtered dear tracked my headlights and proceeded to run in front of my car while in cruise control at 80 mph in the middle of the night. This of course would be a buzz kill for anybody, but for me it was a little different cuz I don't live in Colorado and I obviously had places to go and things to do and more importantly, my 4Runner was doing double duty as my bed to save expenses on my extended road trip out East. Furthermore, I was only carrying liability insurance on my ride, which meant this was a massively unexpected and undesired expense. At any rate, thanks to Yelp, I hit this place up the first thing in the morning and was warmly greeted by the genuinely cool and empathetic Trevor. He understood I was on a time crunch, a little stressed out, and went to work on getting me up and running right away. He went above and beyond by helping me get some cheap accommodations and even discounted my bill a little bit since I was paying out of pocket. I have since been back on the road and have made it back to Cali with zero problems with the $5,000 in repairs that they provided. He and his crew did a great job in taking care of my baby and she seems just as good as she ever was. I definitely don't hope or expect to use his services again since I don't live in the area, but if you're in need of a really good and trustworthy body shop, this is definitely your spot. I had an awful experience with these guys. My five to seven-day repair turned into three and a half weeks. When I was looking for a place to fix minor rear-end collision damage, they told me they would order the parts beforehand so they'd be ready to start working right away. When I dropped my car off, they told me they hadn't but not to worry and the initial timeframe was still accurate. I called the day before the one week mark, and they said all the parts had just arrived and it would be another week. I called back a week later and they said the people who put would reinstall my back window wouldn't be able to come in that day. This was the day before Thanksgiving so add another five days to the wait. During all of this time, I never received a phone call to update me on the status of the repairs. I call back the following Monday to check on the progress, and they told me that they had ordered the wrong bumper size and it wouldn't fit on my car. They had to order the correct part, paint it, let it dry and then install it. Only then could the window guys come and put back in the glass. Add another week. More than three weeks later was I able to pick up my car. The work looked nice, but I soon noticed at my $300 kite that had been in the trunk had gone missing. I called and spoke with someone in the office and they said they would look into it and call me back. Again, no return call. I called back again, and they said they had no idea where the kite had gone and sent me pictures of the trunk allegedly before they worked on it. They said there was no kite in the car when they started. I know for a fact that it was because that's where I store the kite. I gave up. This place is awful. If you like waiting more than three weeks for five-day repair, then this is your place. If you like things stolen from your car, then go here. If you want competent staff that communicates with you about the progrss of your vehcile, go elsewhere. read more

This place is the worst, bring your car here at its own peril. They actually created more problems trying to repair my simple door ding, without even fixing the damage properly. I had to bring my car here four times, and still walked away without all the problems they created resolved. I finally gave up and decided to live with their incompetence because I could not spare the time any longer to continue to bring my car back, and because I was afraid that they would continue to make problems worse rather than better. Worst communication skills. Totally forgot to replace a wheel and tire on my truck. Waited an extra week just for the wheel and tire to come in. I get a call saying it's ready to be picked up. I brought my car in after someone hit it, I was assured that they would let me know if they found any additional damage that wasn't included on the estimate. I called to check in the day my car was supposed to be done and it turned out there was extra damage but they had already done the work without getting my consent and they had to keep my car for an extra five days. It resulted in me having to extend my rental car and pay more than I expected. Througout the process of getting my car fixed they did not communicate with me or each other so each new person I spoke to had no idea about the situation I also had to call each time, they did not update me on their own at all. It was a very frustrating experience and I would not go back here. read more

After our car was involved in a crash, we had it towed to ABC Auto Body of Boulder largely because of their good reviews but also because the shop is part of the State Farm network of trusted repair facilities. ABC worked efficiently with State Farm through about 3 iterations of evaluating the amount of loss. Unfortunately it was ultimately totaled, even with a very fair valuation by State Farm of the pre-crash vehicle. Coincidentally, our second car decided to die while we were visiting ABC, leaving us in a bit of a jam. So even though we cannot speak directly to the quality of repair work at ABC, we can say that those folks did a lot to help us out in this situation. They offered to call over a mechanic from a nearby auto repair shop, one of ABC's mechanics came out briefly to see if he could start our car, they pushed our dead car into a convenient and safe parking spot and they arranged to give us free a ride over to a Hertz car rental location. By they, I primarily mean Bryan Romero, a scholar and a gentleman. Other followup assistance was provided without expectation of compensation. The "vibe" at this establishment is very positive unlike many gritty and grungy shops I have visited in the past. I would predict that they do excellent work. read more

ABC is *awesome*. I recently got rear-ended (yikes!) and honestly, the only pleasant part of the whole experience was getting my bumper replaced at ABC (rear-ending--scary! other driver's insurance--annoying! ABC--friendly, calm, and quick!). I've heard from friends that for body work, the best place in Boulder is ABC. After the collision, ABC was able to fit us in quickly for an estimate... faster than the Subaru places. This was important, because I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be screwing up alignment or anything on the drive for an already planned weekend trip. The other driver's insurance adjuster came out the following week to give us an estimate. The two numbers were very, very close. The adjuster confirmed for me that ABC does good work and is well-regarded by the insurance folks. I picked up the car this morning. The new bumper looks *great*, *AND* they washed and vacuumed the car. So awesome. The whole experience was quick, easy, pleasant, and *no hassle*. I highly recommend ABC. read more

I had an amazing first experience. My Hyundai Tucson's trim was falling off a door. A new assembly would have been over $300 with labor and required a lead time. They wisely ordered a few clips to replace the broken ones and it is as good as new. Fixed in one day. Here is the kicker, I had a white paint streak along the side of my car from when it was parked and it got side swiped. They cleaned the paint swipe off for free using their cleaning materials. I took my car in to get an estimate for a basketball sized dent in my rear bumper. Another place I talked to insisted I would need to replace the bumper but I was hoping the dent could be popped out since the bumper was plastic. The nice folks there took it in for about 10 minutes, applied heat ( who knew?) and like magic the dent was gone. And get this, they didn't charge me! Holy moley, who does anything for free? The good - extensive hail damage to my car and no sign of a single dent left on the car and there were a lot of dents. Car looked like a golf ball before. The not so good. 39 days from start to finish to complete the job. Not entirely the fault of ABC as they were down a week or so waiting on my insurance adjuster to get back out and approve a supplemental claim. Also, given the nature of my car they had to go the traditional method of pulling dents which is a lot more time consuming and requires painting at the end. Still, had all gone smoothly it should have been a 3 week job, not nearly double that. The ugly. The inside of my car is a mess. Dirt everywhere. Shoe prints inside the hatch of my car. Stripes were reinstalled but they are not flush in the rear. What appears to be wax residue on the molding around the wheels and inside the doors. I keep my car looking nice inside and out so this is indeed an disappointment. They knew I was anxious to get my car back, who wouldn't be after 39 days, but come on work a little OT and give me my car back looking nice outside and IN. Oh and there were also 3 screws left over that were sitting in a cup holder waiting for me to find. Who knows where or what those are for. I am more than happy with the hail repair damage in itself and recommend them based solely on that. Their attention to those other little details is lacking which is regrettable as the hard work was pulling the hail dents. A few hours focused on final clean up should be an automatic. I called to see if they'd be willing to go in 50% on the cost of the interior detail coming up and was told they would call me back but they never did. read more
