Cutest little bakery and coffee shop. The owner is so sweet, as well as the cinnamon rolls!!! Coffee is great, overall gem of a spot.

It's listed on the menu as a "small plate" but turned out to be a very decent size. My husband tried the key lime ice cream, which was not listed on the menu of flavors. This tasted really good too. The seating area is very limited - about six table with two chairs each. There are also a few tables outside. One drawback is that prices are not clearly listed. For instance, I could not find any signage for how much the drinks, muffins or croissants cost, which would have been helpful to me in my attempt to be a smart consumer. Overall, this is a nice place to grab a bite after walking or biking the trail. There is 30 minute parking for customers - apparently the employee told a friend of ours that they do tow away cars (I guess of hikers) but I don't know how much they enforce the time aspect.

I ordered a BALT (bacon, avocado, lettuce, and tomato on white bread) and a bag of chips; my husband ordered a cup of Maryland crab soup, a pastrami on marble rye, and a bag of chips. We both enjoyed what we ordered. The sandwiches are simple but quick and tasty. After we finished our lunch, we couldn't resist ordering some ice cream, too (strawberry chip for me and oreo cheesecake for him). The service is great - fast, friendly. And it's charming and simple inside. If you're in the area, it's a nice place for a quick lunch or ice cream snack.

My partner and I were both very happy with our sandwiches. They got a gobbler and I got an Italian. We loved ordering on the kiosk because they have so many toppings to choose from. It made it very easy to see all the options and if they cost more or not. There are a couple of indoor tables and some outdoor seating as well. Every table was full while we were there. They have lots of sweets, a small market, and lots of home made desserts. I tried a bunch of ice cream flavors. I really enjoyed the peanut butter ripple and I purchased pints of cake batter and peach to take home. They were both very good. They have four different sizes of packaged ice cream in coolers for you to take to go in tons of different flavors. The only spaces I see for improvement were that we didn't really enjoy the sides (we tried the potato salad and pasta salad). I also don't see a need for single stall restrooms to be gendered.

The staff are under serving portions of meat on the subs. I was not given cheese on 2 of my subs and they didn't seem to toast them at all. Called the store and said I had an issue. Some guy says "ok what's the problem" like no care in the world. How about "sorry to hear that what is the issue?" Then while I'm telling him the stated issues he's rudely talking to another employee before I'm even doing relaying the issues. The manager says in the background that he prepared the subs and put cheese on them. I said I checked the subs by opening them up and there is no cheese. This guy proceeds to argue with me about cheese being on there. Just because you are a manager at some subway does not mean you don't make mistakes. You made several mistakes today to include speaking out of term with me. I took pictures of said sandwich for anyone at corporate that would like to see. I repeated myself in saying there is definitely not cheese on two of my sandwiches and he continues arguing with me about it. Either the manager or the employee hang up the phone on me. I wait 3 minutes to see if they call back; they don't. So it's clear they intended to terminate the call because they can't take responsibility for their screw ups. I called back and tell them I'm calling corporate on them for being trashy. Seems this location is trying to scam customers out of portions and product for these expensive subs. I could go to wawa and get a sub for cheaper and not experience the amount of issues I've experienced here. It's absolutely disgusting how these two employees hold their self and I strongly suggest subway take appropriate action and teach these two individuals how to treat customers and how to handle customer complaints. I have a lot bigger problems then what I stated now that they handle theirselves in such a way. Subway do better....

I placed my order online and went with a Hefty size Classic Cheesesteak, and a Husky size Philly Special Hoagie. Total after tax/tip was $34.00. How were they? Cheesesteak- Fantastic! Nice seeded bread, tons of meat and cooper sharp cheese. Onions were cut a little big and laid on top, so they started to fall all over the place (eat this outside your car, trust me!) while I was eating. Flavors were great, though! Damn fine cheesesteak and I would definitely return to get another. Hoagie- This thing was packed with goodies! They also use the "meat blanket" technique that I have only seen at LaSpadas down in Florida, previously. All the ingredients were well put together, HUGE, good bread, but there was a lack of tang in the olive oil/vinegar dressing. It was basically absent. That's why the 4 stars. Maybe you need to order extra or more vinegar? Something was definitely needed though. It was pretty plain tasting. Don't get me wrong, it was still a good sandwich, but it could have been a GREAT sandwich with some extra flavor of the oil/vinegar. This would definitely be my sandwich spot if I lived in York!

There are four or maybe five stools for eating inside; otherwise you have to take it outside where they have a couple of tables out front. We did that. Newberry reminds me of your hometown bakery where everyone gathers in the morning for their donuts and coffee before heading off to work. Very much like many of the shops in the Bel Air area. The employees are super nice at Newberry. Really taking their time to provide great customer service to each patron that strolls through the doors. Although it was lunch time we settled on breakfast sandwiches with homefries. And I of course had to grab a donut because it's a must, and a latte. The breakfast sandwich was just what you would want to start your day, a savory piece of meat and cheese on a soft bagel. But the star of the show was the homefries. Cooked and seasoned perfectly, crispy on the outside and a soft texture on the inside. We both loved the potatoes. My glazed donut was divine, pillowy with just the right amount of glaze to not make the donut too sweet. The latte was a little to sweet for me, but I'm a little finicky with the sugar level in many caffeinated drinks. All the times I've ventured into Bel Air I never thought to stop at Newberry and I'm glad I finally did. I'll definitely be back to try more of their yummy donuts and breakfast sandwiches in the future.
