I've always liked visiting Mountain View because how beautiful it is especially being so close to the mountains I think Mountain View represents the community ideally Elizabeth helped me last month after my mother passed away. She was professional, kind, caring, and followed up on every detail. I can't see enough about how professionally she was and at the same time how much concern she had for our well-being. She also has great knowledge of the cemetery and I enjoyed our conversations. during one of my visits last month I had problems located my grandparents burial site and I had several maintenance people take time to offer to help me find their gravesite. Everyone who works here, cares about the cemetery and seems to take pride in maintaining it. Mountain View has a small town feel about it, unlike some of the larger corporate cemeteries in Southern California. I cannot recommend it enough.

It was the Friday before Memorial Day so it took a while to get to Orange County. They carefully transferred my Mom to their vehicle. They were very responsive to all of our questions and really made the whole process much easier than I thought it would be. We really appreciated that as we were still trying to process our Mom's passing. They're the best! They arranged a meeting point midway between Glendale and where we lived in Orange County to transfer our urns to us. I highly, highly recommend Anubis. From the first contact to the end of the funeral, counselor Yoshi and crew made it extremely easy and straightforward. They quite literally took care of almost everything from beginning to end. Yoshi took me step by step through the small amount of things I had to do myself and made it streamlined and easy for me. It was an emotional time for everyone but the service went great, without any worries or problems. It was that much easier knowing Yoshi was there making sure everything was perfect. Me and my girlfriend wanted something special to celebrate a memorable date we had at a park where we watched ducks for hours, and then I was able to find Alberoni. He told us hand engraving was the way to go and even gave us a great price after we told him our story. After telling us about some of his past work and sharing past pieces that were beautifully done, we knew he was our man, honest and blunt about what we would get and what we were paying for. He did an amazing job on our signet rings, even better than I could've hoped! The detail was very precise, just like the picture! The engraving is great quality and built to last, I am constantly working or doing community service and despite my carelessness the images stand strong! I'm so happy me and my woman are now able to memorialize a very special day and memory. Alberoni's is the only engraver I trust and I can wait to take future pieces to him!

The GF (er...fiancee now, I guess) was looking for someone to engrave a…read morewedding ring with a specific design we'd worked out; the (otherwise outstanding) jeweler who made the ring referred us to an engraver who said it wasn't possible to get that design done; the work was too fine, too difficult. Alberoni took a look at e-mailed pics of the design and our ring, and said "sure, does next Tuesday work for you?" And the result was GREAT. Exactly what we'd hoped for, executed beautifully. It can be a little hard to find the studio - I mean, not locating-the-lost-city-of-the-Incas hard, but he's located in a warren of the jewelry district that does not seem to see too many folks from outside the jewelery business. But then again, once you're there, you sort of feel like an insider in the biz, just 'cause you know he's there. Four stars (instead of five) because he doesn't actually take credit cards, which seems a little archaic in this day and age. He does take PayPal, though, that's something (as well as cash and checks, of course). Overall, I would not hesitate to take something to Alberoni again.

We lost our mother…read moreearlier this year, and we wanted to honor her memory with a custom designed marker that honored her faith and devotion to family. We wanted a black granite marker with her photograph, decorative floral elements and text in Spanish and Hebrew. I contacted several companies which weren't accomodating to the design elements we had in mind, or lacking in basic professionalism and sympathy, and in some cases charging more for less. We discovered Proper Placements on Yelp, and I left a voicemail one evening inquiring about their services. Within 15 minutes Chip Smith graciously calls back despite the lateness, and sends an email within minutes of our conversation. I send him a rough diagram of what we had in mind, and within *hours* Chip replies with a beautiful design that perfectly fit what we wanted! We paid for his services and he immediately had our mother's photo's resolution improved by a graphic designer, and laid out all the design elements beautifully. The high-res image was baked into a ceramic plate for longevity, and mounted on beautiful polished and professionally etched granite. All work was completed in about 6 weeks (including cemetery design approval times), and we held a grave marker blessing ceremony at our beloved mother's graveside. Everyone present was happy with how beautiful our mother's marker was, and we could feel her loving presence and gratitude as we honored her memory. If you're looking for compassionate, professional service and talented workmanship at competitive value, you can count on Chip Smith and Proper Placements!

I never had the experience for planning a funeral let alone our beloved mother's funeral. We tend to plan for our future, children's college fund, buying a house, but when it comes to planning for funeral arrangements, it can become quite stressful, especially coming from a Polynesian culture (Samoan). My brother and myself first met with a rep at All Souls Cemetery. We were downright flabbergasted with the total amount that we needed to bury our beloved mother, which included everything (All Souls fees, plot, flowers, services, marker, and casket). Bottom line is that the casket we liked from All Souls was a wooden maple at $7,000. My sister in law found ABC Casket on-line and told my brother and myself about it and so we headed downtown to ABC Casket and we were amazed at the place. Isabelle and Joey met with my brother and I and we saw the same casket there that we liked from All Souls but with a 60% price reduction and we could not believe it. Simply put, we bought it straight from the source. Not only did we buy the casket at a lower price, but Isabelle set us up with flower arrangers, which were again a 60% - 70% price reduction from All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach. She even found us a plot at a much cheaper price from a broker, but the broker told us that the plot had to stay within the family or be sold back to All Souls Cemetery as All Souls forbid the sales of plots to outside family members. Isabelle also told us that when we are ready, give her a call to order the marker from a vendor she networks with that is again comes with a 60% - 70% price reduction rather than going with All Souls. In summary, ABC Casket with Isabelle and Joey, were both a Godsend. So from the BODYGUARDS, Jacob and John, we thank you again. read more

As the majority of Yelpers have posted, Isabelle and Joey are top notch; they know the funeral business, thoroughly. This is important because had my family known of the other referrals ABC makes (florists, grave markers, etc.), I believe we would have saved several thousands of dollars from what my family ended up paying if we had known of their sage advice, recommendations and referrals. Still, ABC Caskets alone saved us several thousand dollars than what the funeral home we were using quoted us for a "stock" casket. The custom coffin we chose at ABC, so beautifully constructed and finished, cost my family less than $1,000. We placed our order on a Tuesday, and they custom-made and had it delivered in less than 48 hours, in time for the Rosary. Our order also included a custom embroidered panel (for the inner lid) that ABC had shipped from NYC, and still, the coffin was delivered on time to the funeral home! We found Isabelle and Joey to be professional and compassionate, and of course, extremely helpful during the selection process. This is also when we found out about the referrals they offer to help the customer save even more money during a time when otherwise, a grieving customer could be taken advantage of. Because the coffins and urns are constructed right there in the building, you can see all the materials used in building a custom coffin. ABC caskets really is the place to use during such a sad and confusing time because they take the stress away by guiding you seamlessly through the process. Joey and Isabelle are terrific. They worked with me and allowed me to come to their factory and hand pick the embroidered coffin lid insert and the material for the inside of the coffin, the color of the metal coffin and the custom corner pieces and lugs. Their price was reasonable considering I wanted a custom job. They ROCK! And the work is beautiful. They have been in business probably 40 years and there is a reason. They will allow you to preplan and will store the coffin for you until it is needed. I have no personal knowledge of their wooden coffins, but I wouldn't be surprised to find those to be of the highest quality as well. They will also work with you to paint the coffin a special color if you want that. The studios seek them out because they do GOOD work. Isabelle is a little eccentric, but very compassionate and caring and they are both willing to go the extra mile. WOW, what a great experience. They have more options than what appears on their website. read more

With the covid pandemic, he was forthright about the timeline, which was still the shortest time among the replies I received from the other businesses. My father's headstone was delivered to Rose Hills the other day, and my family is very pleased with the craftsmanship. AMG was thoroughly professional during the entire process so it is no surprise that the company has been in business since 1894. Yes, I research the companies before I engage with them, and AMG passed from start to finish. Hence, the five stars.

I had mentioned to the owner how my mother loved the sea, when we walked in to her services it was a beautiful seascape, I was so blown away at the details, there were little sand bottles with her name, handprinted on them. These keepsakes are still in my living room, and I treasure them. I didn't have to do anything they helped withb all the details down to organizing our food in a buffett style. They provided an easel and huge picture of her, so when you walked in, you saw her beautiful face smiling. All I had to do was send in my photos, and they were printed and framed all throughout reception. They allowed us to put a playlist of her favorite music together and played it throughout the venue. There were tv's playing her picture video memorial. The memorial cards they printed on a nice quality photo paper, and I was able to choose several pictures to go on the back which helped me include all of my family I'm so thankful God led me to this venue.
