I arrived early in the morning before the outside flower vendors were set up, so I had to purchase flowers on-site. As someone who hadn't attended many funerals, I wasn't familiar with the custom of large wreaths and was overwhelmed by the high price points in the flower shop. When I asked for recommendations, the staff member directed me only toward options over $100, which wasn't within my budget. However, I had a very positive interaction with a maintenance worker who noticed me looking for alternatives. Despite it not being his job, he was incredibly kind, offered helpful suggestions, and even expressed his condolences. It was heartening to encounter such genuine compassion from him. I also found the security guards and other staff members I interacted with to be professional, friendly, and courteous. Ultimately, the experience served as a poignant reminder of how short life is and the importance of living it to the fullest while being kind to one another. I appreciated the care the staff took, and I am grateful for the kindness shown to me during a difficult day.
