If you're looking for great Mexican bread and pastries, this is definitely the place. However, on Mother's Day (May 10th), I decided to try their menudo for the first time and purchased 3 orders. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The menudo was extremely bland and seemed to be missing basic seasoning like salt and oregano. Normally, bland food can be fixed at home with a few spices, but the bigger issue was the large amount of grasa (grease/fat) in the caldo. The grease was very dense and excessive. I tried removing as much as possible, but there was still too much. In fact, I had to serve my mother the menudo without the broth because of how greasy it was. My recommendation: stick to the bread -- it's great. As for the menudo, maybe this was just a one-off experience, so others may want to give it a try for themselves. I personally hope they improve the recipe because it's difficult finding a good Sunday morning menudo spot in the Downey area.

Bonus points for having the same name ;) Miriam made great detailed questions to make sure the cake was exactly what I wanted it to be referencing off a picture I had showed her as inspiration. From size all the way down to the smallest details, Miriam disclosed information about how certain designs or details I wanted would change the presentation of the cake, and made sure I was delightlfuly satisfied with what would be the result. She broke down every last detail including how the icing would likely stain our mouths and very nicely reassured me that it would rise right off with water swishes. Overall I was incredibly satisfied with the service I was given, and I greatly appreciate how Miriam thought about every question in order to complete my desired vision.

i honestly love this donut shop a lot! It is one of the best in Southern California! The donuts are always fresh and they just melt in my mouth every bite I take! My favorites are the chocolate bars, chocolate twist, glaze twists, and the buttermilk bars! They make the donuts right in front of you so you know what's going into the dough and how it is properly made. You just got to try their ice coffee or Thai iced tea! They are simply AMAZING!!! Unlike Norma F.'s comment, the place is very clean and it always maintains an A standing from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health-Enviromental Health Services. i don't know what she's thinking but she's definitely making false accusations at the benefit of another business near by. COVID-ALERT! I came to ABC donuts just like we always do to find that right in the middle of business operations the owners have allowed someone to be painting behind the counter, right where they cook and prepare our donuts, with NO MASK ON! If I could give negative stars at this point I definitely would. Right in the middle of our worst outbreak and they allow workers into their kitchen while they try to serve us food. This establishment should be shut down until they can learn to follow proper protocols. On top of NO MASK, they are remodeling during business hours. UNACCEPTABLE!! read more

ABC Donuts is a must try for anyone craving delicious, fresh donuts! Their donuts are always soft, fluffy, and perfectly sweet. I'm a big fan of their classic glazed and their cinnamon rolls. The staff is extremely friendly, and the service is quick. It's a great spot to grab a treat, as it's always extremely consistent. I've never actually ordered any donuts here. I come for the iced coffee. It's amazing! It is a little too sweet though, but the lady always remembers to pour a little hot coffee in mine to dilute it. It gets really crowded between 7 and 7 30 since they're across the street from the high school. They have a drive thru, but you'll have better luck at the counter inside. O and put your car in park if you do use the drive thru or else their annoying motion sensor bell will go off every 2 secs. read more
