They don't put it on the door but just a warning. If you bring a kid inside the store, they will not let you buy alcohol doesn't matter what age your kid is. I had a 5-year-old with me and they refused to sell me alcohol and a year before that i had my 10 year old with me and they refused to buy a sell me alcohol. This liquor store has a vast selection of both booze and wine. Additionally, they offer a great selection of small bites and snacks. Hostess gifts are available too! Better yet, the opportunity to sample merchandise exists! Bill was extremely helpful and offered some red wine suggestions based on brands I enjoy. He also educated me regarding labeling. In the end, I opted for Imagery Cabernet based on the previous evening's experience along with the fact ABC offered a savings of $5 off with the purchase of two bottles. Our cashier was also very friendly and informed us about upcoming tasting events. I will definitely return to this location if I find myself back in Lakeland. Finally, this visit encouraged me to checkout my local ABC next time I'm in the vicinity. read more

Stopped by the Lakeland spot on the way to Tampa. Grabbed some Green Bench cans so I wouldn't have to drive into St. Pete. I should've looked at the canning dates, because ABC was selling IPA's stored at room temperature that were 5 months old. Green Bench is a top tier brewery, but these cans had gone bad. Terrible look ABC. read more

Rude toned male cashier with the neck beard wouldn't sell to me because my girlfriends ID was damaged. Tried to show a picture of it when she first got it issued to her in better condition and he stated that he won't accept a photo of a ID. Drove 30 minutes there and had to drive another 30 minutes home and leave everything on the counter which is a humiliating feeling. Total wine and more is worth the extra time of driving since they've never had a issue with her ID. read more

We just moved here to Lakeland and our first time in this store and it was overwhelming cause there was so much wine and I had no idea where my favorite wine was located. Well this gentleman saw the confused look on my face and told me that he was an employee there but not working that day, just shopping, but he dropped everything just to help me find what I needed. I stopped by this ABC back on November 15th to buy a few special bottles for a party my wife and I were having. I walked in, asked an employee to show me where the scotch whiskies were located. The gentleman said: Oh you would like to buy some scotch? Do you have any idea of what you would like? I replied saying I wanted a bottle of Macallan 12 YR. He unlocked the glass case it was in... which is strange to me; Ive never been to an ABC where Macallan was locked up... He retrieved the bottle and as I reached for it, he turned away quickly and said it would be waiting for me at the register. I thought it strange. Its probably standard procedure for him to do that when a product is locked up, but his body language made me feel like he didn't trust me. At any rate, I followed him to the register and then remembered I wanted to surprise my wife with a bottle of Dom Perignon. Again, I asked where I could find a bottle and that same employee pointed me to another employee and had me ask him. So, I walk over, ask employee #2 where I can find a bottle of Dom Perignon and he said: Follow me. He took me to the wine cellar, unlocked it, handed me a bottle and said: Would you like the box for it, or will you just be drinking it in the parking lot?? I was BEWILDERED. If he was joking, I did NOT find that funny. I couldn t tell if he was being prejudice or racially profiling me. Either way, as a 28 yr old hispanic male, dressed in black pants and t shirt, I felt like he was being condescending. Did he think I had no business buying Don Perignon?! Finally replied and said: NO. I will not be drinking this in the parking lot. My wife and I are celebrating 5 years of being business owners and I wanted to surprise her with this for our special toast. After that he tried to seem interested and friendly but the damage was done. Is this type of customer service typical?! I've tried calling the corporate offices for the past two days and no one answers. Clearly ABC doesn't really care for customer service. If you need to buy any sort of liquor, beer or wine, this place has it. If you're a minority and also wanted to be judged and racially profiled, this place has it too. Good luck. read more

This place is amazing. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help. When i was buying a vodka once for a sauce and potential drink the staff took me over to the section and pointed me in the right direction for my needs. The first trip the manager walked me around the store showed me the areas and still remembers me when i walk in. Ivwish they stayed open later on weekends at keast since i work nights. Best place in town. Great selection of spirits wine cigars and beer. Pkus nice cheese and meats at the front. The prices are great here and have reward program. Of all the ABC's I've been to in central Florida this is probably the best. It's the biggest, the cleanest, in the nicest location and has probably the biggest beer selection (but not by leaps and bounds). They even have their own restrooms in here which is a surprising thing to see. Must not be any homeless people in the vicinity. I didn't get a chance to peruse the freshness dates on the shelved beer bottles, though I'm inclined to believe they're probably as old as the stock in other ABC stores (this chain is notorious for carrying out of code beer). Still, this store has a really nice look and a huge selection. Not being into wine or liquor I can't comment on those inventories other than to say it certainly looks big. They also have a cigar section and cheese and other snacks. So basically everything you need for a party you can find here. read more

Visited 4-5 times throughout the holidays and find the staff is knowledgeable, easy to find on the floor and helpful. The store seems clean and well stocked....shopped for about everything except beer. If they were out of a sale item, they could tell you when the stock would be replenished! Prices are competitive. The worst customer service I have experienced. The stock boy was very aggressive with me when I asked a simple question. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
