I called ABC Tue. 07/01/25 to request an onsite visit by a lock tech for a project needed on the Taos Pueblo by a government facility. The guy there at ABC immediately began bellyaching about how he sends his guys there but they NEVER get even ONE KEY made in return biz..BOO-HOO dude...I have to ask; from reading the reviews on here it seems these guys bend over backwards helping out of towners, but for REAL Locals, they have "cultural attitude problems" apparently..For real.. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Chris and Abe.we had a huge fiasco where we lost our car keys o the mountain. We were stranded. Even though their shop was closed foe the weekend they called us back, ran to their shop to see if they had an extra key to make. Even though they didn't, they wrnt above and beyond and had one overnighted. They were able to make they key quickly. When I tell you we were very overwhelmed feeling stranded they greatly helped me and my family stay calm. I have not had service or a caring person like that in years. read more

These folks are terrific! We got locked out of our house "after hours" which means that all the other locksmiths were closed and not providing service. We called the sheriff's dept and they were closed! (????). We called Taos Police and they said "we don't do that-you need a locksmith". We asked if there was anyone they worked with and they said ABC. On the longshot, I had already left a message with ABC and they called me back and came to Arroyo Seco and got me in my house. They are heroes and really nice guys! A bargain at any price! read more

Called multiple times, was asked to send photos of my lock, no response. Called again two days later, was told they would call back. Called the next day and was told they were busy. I simply asked if they were going to be able to get back to me or did I need to call someone else and the very rude guy just said"do what you need to do." Not fast, not dependable, not polite. I was told to come in to get a key cut after 11 Tuesday or Wednesday- did that as I had an appt somewhere else at noon. Chris wasn't in but brother called him- I was told come in at noon. I said I couldn't- but before I could suggest how about another time he told me to take my business elsewhere if I didn't like that. then he showed up as I was going to my car and I greeted him and asked for a moment and he told me I was a pain in the neck and to take my business elsewhere. We had up to that point an amicable interaction. I was flabbergasted. This was creepy crazy uncalled for reaction on his part and I'm still reeling from the exchange.Not recommended read more

Service was very quick. Of course whenever you call a locksmith it can be a stressful time, since you know, nobody plans on being locked out of their vehicle. Chris dispatched Isaac and another guy to come take a look within a 30 minute window. They were prompt and got me into the car in a minute. These guys went above and beyond when State Farm's subcontractors wouldn't. The weekend after 4th of July, on a Saturday, I had just arrived at the rural campsite off the road to the Taos Ski Valley. I locked my keys in the trunk. My particular car is a convertible and does not have any latch to open the trunk. State Farm's subcontractors WOULD NOT drive out to unlock it, they wanted to tow my car! It would have tore my car apart. Finally State Farm gave me the option to call these guys. Thank God! They drove out immediately, approximately 30 minutes to get there. They had my keys in my hands within 5 minutes (if that long) and they didn't ruin my car. AMAZING and so grateful! read more

I got myself locked out of my car yesterday at the laundromat and needed to be somewhere in an hour. ABC picked up right away and got to me in 15 minutes and had me back in my car on the way in another 5. On top of that, such nice people who know the area like the back of their hand. The whole experience was such a lifesaver and didn't cost more than it should have which is the best when you find yourself in a pickle not having planned to spend a little to get out of a certain situation. Would call them anytime! But hopefully won't need to soon :) read more

I have a history with these guys. In the 90s I they were the go-to for the lodge I ran and it was always 5 star service. A friend died yesterday and I had to have the locks changed, since we had no idea who had keys to her house. Again, they were professional, fast, and the locks are quality units. They are great at what they do, and although they get busy they communicate and you know where you stand. They are still my go-to! read more

I have to say this is the most unprofessional business ever. 4 other girls and I went up to Sipapu to go skiing when our driver lost her key somewhere in the snow. We called up ABC Lock and Safe CO Inc in Taos around 12:00pm. A gentleman answered and we asked him if he could drive up and make us a new key. He told us that he would call us back in 15 minutes. After waiting an hour we decided to call him back. He answered and when we asked him again if he could come he just stayed quiet on the phone till we hung up. We called right after that and no one answered any of our calls. We tried calling else where but everyone else was too far too come. We finally were able to get someone from Albuquerque to come down but we had to wait. 5 girls had to wait in negative temperatures for almost 10 hours because ABC Lock and Safe CO Inc wouldn't drive 30 minutes out of town to help us. I highly suggest you never use these people or their company. read more

Needed to have a new set of keys made for my vehicle, spoke to someone on Thursday and was told that the new key would be in the store Monday, Tuesday the latest. After waiting till Wednesday to hear back from them, which I NEVER did, I went into the shop and was told they had ordered the wrong key and that they needed to wait for the new one. Again, I was told I would be notified when new key came, and again 3 days went by without any call. Called Friday morning, 8 days after my original phone call I called and spoke with the owner of the company and was treated so poorly and disrespectful that I was without words. Tried explaining to owner that I had been patiently waiting to hear from someone from ABC and not once did I receive a phone call from any employee as I had been told several times. Informed him that it s frustrating as a customer to not get any information when different employees all said they would call me back. After letting him know that he told me "go f*** myself, and to get it done somewhere else. He didn't need this aggravation!" And then hung up! This was the OWNER OF ABC who treated me with hostility and total n complete disrespect! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I hope the owner gets a wake up call n learns to treat customers with some respect read more
