We have hired ABC Sewer and Drain many times over the years to clear our drains, with good results. So yesterday we had them come to replace the seals under both toilets. Before they began working we offered cardboard to put tools/toilet on. They refused. I placed a towel on the wood sink surround to protect it because they were placing tools on the wood. The guy put the towel on the floor and put the toilet on it. We had to ask him to clean up after himself and I still had to get up very sticky spots when he was done. After they left I was cleaning and noticed that one of the toilets was sitting unevenly on the floor, with much more of a gap in the front than it used to have. The bolt tighteners were also loose. Then we pushed on the front of it and the whole toilet wobbled. Called ABC about it and were told they would come back same day. By 8:30 pm they were still working elsewhere so Ken said he would come today. He did, tightened the bolts some and said it was fixed. My husband sat very hard on it (agreeably not a great idea, but it didn't break) to see if it was still wobbling. Ken became incensed, said it was stupid,that we were trying to make problems, and left, saying how stupid we were and if there was still a problem to call him. Well, the toilet still wobbles a lot, but we will not be calling him! I have never been treated so rudely by a so-called professional. read more

These guys are the freakin best plumbers in Vallejo mannn. They've saved my butt on multiple occassions. Clogged washer drain, clogged kitchen drains, and even when the whole house wasn't draining. These guys fixed it! And they are fast. Literally minutes after I call, they are usually there soon. Super friendly and professional as well. They describe what's going on and how they are going to fix the problem. They are pros and they are polite as well. Never ever had any issue with them. Unfortunately the new people who bought the business are not professional at all and apparently they don't have enough experience in plumbing. I hired them for a small piping job under the kitchen sink and the job was done terribly bad, not meeting the codes. I noticed the sewer pipe that was done by them is in touch with the emergency valve and doesn't allow the valve to function. I addressed the issue to the plumber, his response was, " well, you don't need to use that valve and even if you do, just break the sewer line to access the valve" As I explained to him how the job is not meeting the City codes, he used the F word many times and yelled to convince me that the job has been done correctly. I called and the worker said, "I can't do it today, let me call you back in ten minutes." I never received a call back. I asked my wife to call them on another occasion, and the worker said, "let me call you back in 5 minutes when I get back to my car." She never received a call. I called ABC around 10am and they sent Tyler out at 2:30pm and he was done by 3pm. They had given me an estimate and after completing the job, charged me the low end of the estimate. Three hours later I called them back and was told they couldn't fit me in - a call-back would have been nice. I called ABC and they told me they could be here in 2 hours for my double-sink clog. We had already tried snaking it from both sinks with no success. ABC was here on the dot and had it cleared in less than 30 minutes. Kenny and Co opened a stubborn sewer clog at a friend's place in Vallejo. I had spent a day trying everything I could think of to dislodge the clog with no luck; they got the job done in about 10 minutes. It was a simple job so they charged us just $90. (Another plumber with "rooter" in their company name quoted us $240 over the phone. Who would say yes to that?) I've read quite a few of the reviews here for ABC and I must say the reasons given for one-star reviews seem astoundingly unrealistic. If your call isn't returned as promised, call again. You have to realize every customer wants their call answered NOW and their job done immediately. If unclogging your drain causes other damage, that's to be expected. I've seen P-traps under sinks that are held together with Flex-Seal and duct tape. If you have plastic pipe or old galvanized steel water supply lines its just a matter of time before they come apart. And let's face it, typical home-builder grade plumbing hardware and the stuff you buy at Home Depot is crap. It's gonna break or fail. You can count on that. Don't blame the plumber. read more

Clogged toilet , They said they have to take the toilet off and go into the pipes from there. an hour and a half into the work Tyler got a call that he had 15 more minutes to finish the job. Miraculously ,all of a sudden it drained and the toilet was reattached. We were charged $220 and gave a $20 tip to Tyler for a job well done. Next day my wife tells me the toilet isn't secured and to my surprise the right side wouldn't tighten. Then we were told that the flange was broken and that was the reason why it didn't fasten . Now, I had installed the toilet myself just a couple of months before and knew the flange was fine. So they sent "the actual plumber" to reseat the toilet. 2 days later the toilet backed up again (that was a Saturday) called them "i'll call you right back". NOTHING! All weekend we went without a toilet or any way to use water inside the house. Called 'em Monday morning, they came and wanted to charge an additional $200 to take the toilet off again. Of course we didn't agree to that, we already paid $220 for a job that was never finished and should have a 30 day warranty. So they did a halfass attempt and called it quits.We called another plumber who wasn't equipped to do the job but did a FREE inspection and referred us to yet another plumber. These guys came out and first tried to go through the sewer cleanout , after that didn't work they went up on the roof (equipment and all) and went through the roof vent. These guys were very friendly and professional and told us that there will be no charge if they can't fix the problem. Well, guess what, it took some time and sending a camera down the drain to identify ,and then some more time, but the problem got fixed. Yes , it wasn't cheap $450 , but the job was done right. One heck of a lot better than paying $220 for a job NOT DONE!! I had to give a one star rating , but I would have preferred A ZERO, just didn't have that option. read more

I've used this company in the past and was very pleased. This last Monday 7/24 I had to call them out and will never again. They showed up in a timely manner and got my issue solved. But they left a filthy mess in my kitchen, won't stand behind any leaks that may occur from them doing work in your house unless you pay them to come fix it. The next day my wife noticed that part of our yard was had some pieces of ground-up food from a pipe release. We had no idea what to do. So we called this place. The owner answered right away and agreed to come over explaining, "there's no extra charge for nighttime visits unless it's after eight." He arrived right on time, was very friendly without taking up unnecessary time. He was quick to start and finish and answered all my questions without hesitation. Though I use Yelp a lot, I have never written a review. My experience today with John at ABC Sewer and Drain warrants this one. I had used ABC two years ago to clear the outside line of tree roots. It was an emergency call with a toilet that had backed up. They were fast, responsive, and inexpensive. Today I called because the toilet has not been flushing well. I thought it was time to clear the outside line again BEFORE there was an emergency. John came over and checked the outside line and said it was fine. He came inside and looked at the toilet. Here's why I am writing this review. He saw immediately what the problem was. He could have just told me that he could fix it and charge me for the call, but he didn't. It was a simple fix and he told me how to do it, and he did not charge me anything. I'm sure if I had asked him to do it, he would have, but his impulse was to tell me how and let me have the option to do it myself. It was Friday after work and I noticed my clean out in the front yard had popped off and was leaking water. Ah crap, literally. The roots from various trees in the neighborhood had bored back into my pipe and gave me a mess to deal with. The same thing happened a few years back when I first moved in so I called up the guys who did it that time. They claim "same day" service but I didn't get a call back. To Yelp I went for a Vallejo plumber. The godly option had a lot of good reviews but it put me off. So ABC it was. Jude called me back about 5 minutes after I left a message and was at my house in about 20 minutes. He cleaned the roots out of my pipe quick and took a huge weight off of my shoulders for $79.99. This place has a lot of great reviews, they must do good work but I am the exception. We called this company, they were quick to show up at the job. Nice guys but they misdiagnosed the sewer backup and told me i had to call the City of Vallejo for an emergency Sewer clean out, 2 neigboring houses on the same block were backed up. The technicians looked around but never did test or diagnosed the problem. They assumed because 2 neighboring houses were backing up it was a City problem. WRONG. It was just coincidence that 2 homes were backed up. City came out, they tested and diagnosed the problem and confirmed it was the house sewer lines. I called ABC and ask them to come out again, the person who I spoke too, I don't know who it was told me to go fuck myself, that he already had been to my property and was not coming out again. I have new tenants moving in, the toilets are not working, I am hungry, I am in desperate need of a plumber and this guy on the other side of phone is telling me to go fuck myself.....he made my day even worst. I wish I would have yelped sooner. I got this plummer's number from Home Advisor over the summer of 2016. The guy who owns the company came out. Looking like the typical plummber with a young kid at his side. I explaind our issue to the owner, I even let him know I was shopping around and recieved other quotes. The owner quoted me $15,000 for a job that others only quoted between a $ 3,000 & 5,000 range. I think the differance with the other quotes we recieved is, my husband was home when the other plummbers came out. When ABC came out I was alone. Which to me makes me think I recieved such a high price tag because I was a women home alone. read more

Our condo in Napa suddenly developed a leak originating in an upstairs bathtub, which led to water dripping into the downstairs living room. Yikes! On March 14, I called several plumbers based on Yelp reviews and reached ABC Sewer and Drain. An appointment was made for Thursday, March 19 in the afternoon. My husband waited and waited. No show. My husband called the company and spoke to a dispatcher, The dispatcher said that the plumber was at another location and couldn't be reached. He said id have someone at my door the following morning (Sunday), and Tyler showed up on time, polite, professional, and was able to unclog our toilet! ABC has Horrible service!!! They installed defective equipment on my toilet, so when I requested it be repaired they came out and didn't fix it. I then called them back and was told someone would call before they came out - that didn't happen!!! When I called to follow up on the needed repair a male receptionist started hollering at me and was very unprofessional. When this company was owned by John and Jude I would have easily given 5 stars but now I suggest you call as many places as you can to find anyone one else. Maybe try CM Plumbing first. The new owners of ABC are very unprofessional. I know the teenagers are slackers and do half 8$$ work. This comes not just from experience but from hearing from other customers I've talked with asking about another plumber. I made a call on a Thursday for service, they said they would be out that day; the following Tuesday they wanted to show up. For a "quick stop by to see the problem" what was suppose to be 45 mins later, ended up being 2.5 hours later when CM had showed up and was leaving after had finished. Just don't hesitate to call around before settling on these fellas. These guys are a bunch of jokes. I wish John was still running things. He was a good guy. read more

I called this morning, when the gentleman picked up the phone and told him my sewer drain was clogged he told me see you in an hour. Sure enough someone came before the hour was up, unclogged my drain, and he drove away all within 30 mins or so. Now my drain is unclogged and I can do my dishes and laundry now! The best part of this was that it cost me $90 to get it all done. I used to call a different service and it cost me 3x more plus I have to wait for a 4 hour window before anyone shows up! I will definitely be using their services again in the future whenever I need a plumber. read more
