When we were walking past the men while going in to the adjoining showroom, one man looked up and said hello. It is rather strange how not one of them got up and asked if we needed help. We have a nice size project that we will be using an other company to install. The manager/owners should be aware of their employees disregard to potential customers, and the probability of losing sales because of their lack of customer service.

Perhaps it was because Floyd (Store Manager) helped us and was an absolute delight to work with, but even another employee who helped us when we picked up the flooring (unfortunately cannot remember his name) was fantastic as well. One of the things I appreciate about this store is its simplicity. In looking for new flooring for our basement, my wife and I visited 5 flooring stores across Long Island. Lumber Liquidators offers the most competitive prices we could find given the quality of the material. We're not talking Gatsby mansion flooring, but if like us you were just looking for quality vinyl for your basement, this place really does the trick. Selection here is modest compared to some warehouse giants like Floors & Decor, but we found exactly what we needed and the price was at least 10% cheaper than we found at Floors & Decor. Better yet, the flooring we wanted was immediately available. We mentioned we weren't going to be buying the foam (for underneath the vinyl) at the store because we found a better price elsewhere, and there was no sales pitch or hesitation. Floyd simply took it off the list. Likewise, there were no hidden fees or no nickel-and-diming. There was an added cost to have the flooring shipped, but we knew we would be able to pick up and drive it home ourselves. Communication with the employees from start to finish was refreshingly positive. Sure enough, pickup was a breeze. We called ahead to let them know we'd be stopping by later that day (they just need an hour's notice to prep, which they told us in advance). When we stopped by, we waited maybe 3 minutes and then had an employee move all the flooring into our car for us. We then drove it home, acclimated the floor to the basement, and our basement contractor installed it beautifully for us. We are in love with the results and saved money in the process! I can't see why we wouldn't return here whether for vinyl or quality hardwood flooring. The price, quality, and service really impressed me for a place that otherwise has a 2.5-star average rating. Even if you decide to get your flooring someplace else, it's worth taking a look here first.

Going in and finding exactly what I wanted made the shopping spree more than wonderful. The store was clean and the product in the section I was in, needed a lot of attention, however I did manage to find something at an awesome price. After picking out my treasured piece, I looked around the store for a few minutes more and then I headed over to the cashier where the service I received got better and better and better. SERVICE* So in reality, the service was GOOD because I found the container store. That's having a store available in the town I was visiting. The service got BETTER because they had what I needed, at a reasonable price and it's availability. The service was at its BEST when I checked out and paid less at check out and, not only that, I'm excited now.... The cashier left me dumbfounded when she put a Bed, Bath, & Beyond (BB&B) coupon in my bag. I was literally like, what's this. What's happening, what's going on. And then she told me that The Container Store will be stocking BB&B products in the store really soon. TOUCHDOWN!! IYKYK if you didn't, NYK! I ordered something online to pick up here to save on the shipping fee. It's located in a big-ish strip mall near other prominent brands like Trader Joe's and Paris baguette. There were a lot of parking spaces but the lot was def a bit packed around noon on a Saturday. The container store itself was very big and organized. All of the heavily discounted goods were to the front of the store, and they sure caught my eye. I was assisted with promptly. The whole transaction for pickup took about 10 minutes, most of which I think the worker spent some time looking for it in the back. I'd come back here again if I'm in the area.
