Went to visit the pumpkin patch with kids (3 and 7) and there were bounce houses and big slides. Might be a limited spot for that age. My 7 was a bit scared for the big slides but too big to last long on smaller slides and bounce houses. The 3 year old could enjoy everything. Would come back :) read more

We had a great time at ABC Tree Farms in San Mateo for their summer activities! The facilities were clean, well maintained, and made it easy to spend a few hours there with the family. Had my daughter's birthday party here today and it was great. Most affordable local option for a party with excellent customer service and so much fun. There are large slides with water, small toddler size water slides, bouncy houses, and paint ball. The tent we had for two hours came already decorated. We just had to bring our food and drinks. We will definitely be back for play dates as well. read more

The staff is very friendly. This year, there are two areas, one is the dry area and the other is the water area. Swimming goggles and snacks are sold on site. Children aged 2-12 are accepted. One hour is $22 and two hours is $27. There is a place for parents to rest and sit in the sun. We went there on Sunday and saw a child holding a birthday party here. read more

We had an amazing time at Summer Fun Zone celebrating my friend's daughter's 3rd birthday! The jump houses and water slides were a huge hit with the kids, and the birthday girl had an absolute blast. The paintball target practice added a fun twist for older kids and adults. We rented a tent for the party, which was perfect for our group. The variety of snacks available kept everyone happy. This place is wonderful! My kids loved it. We went with the expectation of staying one hour but of course the kids didn't want to go. I was charged only 20 bucks more total for my 4 kids to play one more hour. I was able to buy sunscreen and towels, snacks, and drinks all at very reasonable prices. The folks working there are also top notch, they are kind and seem to really enjoy giving families a safe and fun experience. Will be coming back. read more

Fast service and they got the tree ready the way we asked and put it on the car without issue. Trees aren't cheap but it is just so convenient to grab one from ABC instead of trying to drive to Half Moon Bay. read more

Very fun for my 6 year old nephew! It's very clean and the staff is nice. $19 for an hour, $15 for half hour. They put a color wristband with the time written on it on to keep track. I heard them announce that you could extend your child's playtime by 30 minutes for $5 if their time limit is up. We went on a Sunday and it was 80°, thank goodness they were selling Easter, drinks, snacks and Halloween accessories. There's a shady spot in the middle so parents can rest. My nephew wouldn't go on the 3 huge inflatable slides cause they were really tall and he said they was really hot. There's no shade over the huge slides and the plastic gets super hot. read more

We came here to get a Christmas tree at the beginning of this month. We're used to getting trees from other ABC locations in the Bay Area and this location in San Mateo also met our expectations. They had a wide variety of trees and it was fun to walk around looking at all of them. This is the first year where we have room for a bigger one so we chose a five-foot Noble fir to bring home. A staff member trimmed the end of the tree for us, put on a stand, put it in some netting, and put it on our car for us. We also got tips on how to keep it healthy -- keeping the water bowl filled, not putting it near any heating vents, and spritzing the branches and leaves with some water every day. It's been a couple of weeks and our tree is still holding up well. If you want to go to a local place to get a tree, come to ABC! read more

Price is pretty steep -- $10 for 30 minutes. I didn't see anything about a $20 all day pass, as advertised on their website. I only saw a sign that listed pricing is $20 for an hour or $10 for 30 minutes. On a hot day, the slides and jumpers get quite hot. My 8 year old slid down one time on an 80 degree day and she complained about the slide burning her skin. So on hot days, we only come here for the water slides. Little kids have to be careful since there are older kids playing in the same area and I have seen some rough play. Also have to be careful of the floors getting slippery from the water. They use tarp to cover the ground and kids from the water slide run around making a lot of things wet, which as common sense goes, makes all things plastic slippery. So just be careful. My kiddo has slipped accidentally. There are signs stating play at your own risk. Only have porta-potty on site -- there are 3. If you come early, they're fairly decent as far as peeing in a hole goes... definitely come prepared with towels and swimsuit ready for water read more

I was not excited to see the reviews but decided to check out the place. Absolutely a wonderful place for your kids to have some fun in the bouncy house and also on the waterslides. Water slides are a super hit with my kids and we have been here twice already. 19 dollars per hour per kid. Some dry slides and some wet slides. The water area had some dirt in it but that would be expected with kids going in and out. Will come back soon! A hidden gem. LoTs of parking outside and make sure you bring towels and a change of clothes. read more

Don't waste your money! My visit to the pumpkin patch was marred by a regrettable encounter with one of the employees. My family and I had purchased paintballs for a fun activity, but the experience took a sour turn when an employee aggressively approached my son. He accused my child of not being able to read and continued to argue with me even after I pointed out that the sign was at his hip, and my son couldn't have seen it. I explained that he should approach me, not my child, but the employee's demeanor remained unprofessional. This unfortunate incident tainted an otherwise enjoyable outing, leaving a negative impression of the pumpkin patch's staff and customer service Follow up to my previous review I would like to provide an update that the manager responded by apologizing for my bad experience and has offered me a full refund. I am very happy to report that I will be going back next year and that she is aware of my experience. Thank you for acknowledging my review and being proactive about the situation. read more

Found this lot a few years ago while on a biz trip. Jade and the crew at Burlingame are the earliest lot open (day before Thanksgiving) and have the freshest trees. I drive over from Stockton because of the quality & genuine friendly service! Of course she always up sells me to a 9' flocked tree but they are so pretty I can't say no! Loved the live garlands this year! She picked me out a really nice one for us. Grandson loves the candycanes & Jade let him (carry) the top of the tree as they carried it to the truck :) read more

This is a seasonal business with Christmas trees in winter and inflatables and pumpkins in fall. There are 7 inflatables of varying sizes, including one with water that sprays on hot days. The cost is $10 for half an hour, $15 for an hour, $20 for all day. I think they also accept groupons. There are some refreshments (chips, soda, bottled water) for sale. The only bathrooms are portable toilets. The staff are friendly, it wasn't crowded when we were there, and there are tents set up to provide shade for parents. Not a bad way to get some energy out on the weekend. read more

My kid wanted to play the carnival games, which close at 8pm, so we bought some tickets to play, and were out to the carnival by 752pm, they had already taken everything down and had only a few simple games still up. My kid was bummed, but I figured since there were no refunds, I could go back and get a snack instead with my tickets. I was denied and told to come back next week to redeem the tickets. I know this is all for a good cause and it really isn't too big of a deal, but it is silly that I literally bought the tickets within a minute and then walked back after the carnival being closed and then denied to even use the tickets on anything else and then told to come back next week. They were told not to sell any tickets since they were closing up the carnival early, but I guess it wasn't communicated well. I guess we will be back to use up the tickets next weekend...?

To get this experience going, you'll check-in with the staff and let them know you want to do the sunflower experience. It's $20 for 6 sunflowers and they give you looper (thing used to cut the flowers), sign a waiver, and you can into the two different sunflower fields to pick which ones you like. If you want to walk the fields, without picking flowers, it's $12 per person. Once we paid, we grabbed our looper and headed out. We had the dogs with us, and they had a blast just walking around and taking in the scenery. We found the sunflowers we wanted, and headed back toward the entrance to cut and clean the ones we picked. When we were finished, they wrapped up our flowers in a bag with some water so they could make the journey back home with us. The staff here were amazing. Since it was our first time doing this, they were patient with us and explained their best tips to cut and clean. Very nice people all around! Definitely a fun coast side experience and a great thing to do when the weather is as nice as it's been. If you are planning on going out into the fields, highly recommend bringing shoes you don't mind getting dirty.

Our tree fell off our van shortly after we left because of their failure to properly secure it to the top of the van! It was a horrifying experience yet we simply wanted them to fix the broken tree stand. Initially, we felt bad for the employee who tied it onto the the van after reassuring us that we had nothing to worry about since they had done over 7,000 trees without any problem. However, when they began questioning whether their failure to properly tie it onto the van was the cause, that justifiably angered us. It occurred a few minutes after we left and less than two lights away from their location! Fortunately, the tree did not hit any other car or person when it flew off the top of our van. An ambulance stopped to assist us, including stopping traffic and helping us put the fallen tree inside the van. The tree made a mess of the interior of the van, and these people did not offer to clean it or pay for its clean up. They were too busy implying it was not their fault, and claiming that even if it was, that they have no liability for their failure to properly secure it to our vehicle. They are dead wrong that they have no liability for their negligence in California. Buyer beware! They offer the service of tying your tree onto your car in exchange for their premium tree prices. Their assurance that they tie thousands to cars without a problem is little comfort even if it is true when your tree is the exception that flies off your vehicle while you are driving it home! Thank God no one was injured this time. Be wary of their assurances. read more

We did the party package where you had play time in the playground, then time in party room, then arcade. We chose last time slot on a Saturday I think. Since the play time is timed I'd recommend warning all your guests about it and have them arrive early. We sent all the parents a schedule and heads up so things could run super smooth and the kids could enjoy every minute of play time. Parking is very limited since it's a super small lot and there's a party ahead of you too. The host family has a reserved parking spot out front but our guests definitely need to just find street parking, they came early and seemed to find parking fine. Staff will collect bday gifts in a cart which is super helpful. The indoor play structure is super big and spacious and has a toddler area too. A big kids track with basketball like area with soft balls is right next to play area and had some areas for adults to sit. Adults can chill upstairs in the lounge area too. Play area is gated. You have option to have staff lead the kids in a series of games at the track area which is great way to get the entire party together at end of play time which my daughter loved. Afterwards the kids line up n wash hands n everyone is led upstairs to the party room. The party room is like jungle safari theme decorated painted on the walls. Space is a bit tight/cramped but good air flow and fine. Staff will walk around serving the kids food which is great. Everyone can eat and enjoy without the adults spending time to serve and feed the kids. Afterwards we went down to arcade room and played and you get tickets and redeem for prize. Everyone was able to walk away with a prize which is perfect. Only downside is it gets hot. "Arcade area definitely needs a remodel with AC or at minimum very good fans. I would suggest the owners to highly consider this as it's a bit run down looking compared to the rest of the facility". But even if a remodel is not done, the arcade area is good as is. Maybe buying a few portable fans to hand out to the few guests who might overheat is good enough. Guests had so much fun !! and we got a lot compliments how well run everything was !! They have a food vendor which was perfect too. We plan to have our daughter's 7th bday here again this year as we can't find a better venue that can be so spacious and run so well. Definitely 5 stars. At end of the night, the staff loaded our car with gifts, leftover food. For us, the less work the better so we can actually enjoy the party while hosting. As a parent, a few things that I really liked about this camp: 1) they provide snack 2) they make sure the kids wash their hands 3) they have a drive thru pick up/ drop off system. Very easy and convenient. You show your ID to pick up your kid - very safe. 4) the kids did so many activities throughout the day. They would play games and do crafts and it seemed like the workers were very engaged with the kids 5) they share pictures with you at the end of the week. Everything is designed for kids to touch, explore, and play with, so they can easily spend a long time here. In the back, there is also a beautiful view of the bay with telescopes to look through. If you have a membership from another participating zoo, you may be able to get 50% off admission. There is an $8 parking fee to enter the park.
