I always tell people if you need a black or black and white outfit shop here first. The shop is loaded with gorgeous black and white clothing, many handbags, hats, accessories, racing decor and a limited amount of home decor. Sizes range from X-Small to 3X and there is a dressing room for trying on clothing. Several drivers have shopped here and signed the drivers/celebrities wall. She has several racing items in the front half of the store. Check it out if you're a collector. You never know what you'll find. We've been lucky and found several cool collectibles here. Stop in to browse and feel free to have a seat and visit for a few minutes. She's closed Sunday through Tuesday and open Wednesday through Saturday.

Ahhhh...finally some "me" time and I found my happy place at Roots to Wings. The locally-owned…read moreshop, an old barn, is filled with a mix of antiques, artisan objects and decorator items. The clerks welcomed me when I entered and asked if they could help me. They told me about sales in many booths. Most booths were had clearance prices with prices up to 50% off. A friendly old shaggy dog makes its way past customers. The shop is filled with soaps, candles, jewelry and primitive antiques. I searched through every nook and cranny. Each room is creatively decorated. I found a Christmas ornament that I couldn't live without. Actually, I found several, but settled on one. The shop was filled with laughter, as clerks removed ornaments from trees. This made me happy. There is a restroom filled with whimsical antiques. The shop is a little difficult to see from the road, but they had banners out to pull people in. Parking is somewhat limited, but I didn't have trouble finding a spot. Well worth a visit.

Foundry 317 is along the canal right on Westfield Boulevard. Foundry 317 focuses on home decor and furniture. I clearly arrived right at the tail-end of the holiday season and a good number of the items either had a holiday theme or fit within the holiday season. Items included antiques, one-of-a-kind furniture pieces, festive accents, candles, and other overall housing items. Foundry 317 has a parking lot, though I was actually wheeling there. There's a small ramp up to the sidewalk if you approach it from the right (facing Foundry 317). The doorway is pretty workable and I found the interior to be surprisingly accessible (though I will admit I was taking extra caution given some of the prices!). As I was wheeling, I knew it was pretty unlikely I'd actually buy anything on this visit as it would have been difficult to carry back to my car. However, I definitely saw some items I loved and can easily see myself returning in the near future. The employee I encountered was friendly, the environment was warm and inviting, and I really loved some of the smaller items. I'm a candle freak and definitely would like to return for those. I've always found this section of Westfield Blvd. a little hit-and-miss. The sidewalk is kind of cracked and it's somewhat uneven, however, there's much to love here and I loved the efforts toward accessibility. This is definitely a little gem. I'd seen it before, however, I've never been by when they were open. I finally got the chance to visit, and I'm definitely impressed. I'll be back.

I went up to the front desk to ask about a Facebook Marketplace agreement I had made for a sofa set and the price, only to find out there had been some miscommunication. At first I honestly thought I might have been scammed, which instantly put me in a terrible mood. I definitely huffed around and complained about how far I had driven while trying to sort it out. Long story short...the Facebook Marketplace dealer was not a scam at all. We had simply misunderstood which pieces we were talking about. Fast forward to the end of the visit: three employees (two gentlemen and a woman / I'm sad I didn't get their names) helped me load everything and went the extra mile in every way. They were incredibly kind to me... even after my less-than-great attitude earlier. I tipped them and apologized for being grumpy, but I have to say I left there genuinely believing in people again. They handled the situation with so much patience and kindness. Very cool experience. I'll absolutely be back (with a better attitude!) and I'll be paying that kindness forward. Thank you to those three employees....even helped load my trailer. Seriously nice. Like....extra! Thank yoU!
