My story with Mr. Window is a little more complicated and drawn out than atypical jobs. I signed the contract to have windows and 2 doors installed in 2020. During that time frame between Dec 2020 through July 2021, I went through a divorce, caught long term COVID and wasn't able to work from November to March, and injured my back at work causing me to retire early in May 2024. I remained on disability until May when I retired. Luckily, because of lack of knowledge on Joe's behalf, the front door was incorrectly measured and the bay windows were unable to be installed as they "needed a header" which Joe was going to charge me an additional $4000. I informed Joe I wasn't going to pay the extra money as I had asked several times during the consultation visit if bay windows could be installed. Joe confirmed they could. Joe eventually asked me to pay half , which I reluctantly agreed to. My finances became a struggle so I had to inform Joe I couldn't complete the project at that time as I didn't have the money to pay. We worked out a monthly payment, while it wasn't much, it was at least a good faith showing that I was trying. Finally in the fall of 2024 I was able to move forward and complete the install of 2 bay windows. The door had been written off as undoable. During this time period, I had to have one window repaired, a back door looked at (which is still not fixed and is way out of adjustment), trim around the window and doors (inside and out) missing or has blown off, windows that leak air terribly, and siding that has come loose. To Joe's credit, he was somewhat patient about the delay (what could he have done besides taken me to civil claim court which I had no money to pay him anyway). However, I asked for Joe to come out and do a walkthrough, which was declined as he was "too busy". The bay window project took from the spring of 2024 to fall of 2025 to complete (and is still not properly completed). I called the office and spoke with Andie (who is a very sweet and friendly lady that does her job well), about the issues. The siding was reported to them back on January 19. It was their choice to wait until it warmed up to do the work. Now, Ol' Joe is wanting to charge me $250 the first hour/$199 an hour thereafter, to fix what he couldn't get done correctly in the first place because "their warranty is only for a year after install". Keep in mind, Ol' Joe hasn't spoken to me since he collected the money. He has poor Andie do his dirty work. I would be very very cautious using Mr. Window. Ol Joe can't keep installers because he treats them so poorly and is so difficult to work for so who knows how many installers you may have on your job. He doesn't stand by his products or is labor. If you have a problem and it's out of his timeframe, you'll be paying him big money to fix his mistakes. I will never do business with Mr. Window again. Go with a more reputable and customer oriented company. read more

In September of 2023. They mismeasured the window so they had to add additional framing. And because of this, they had to use this peel and stick vinyl trim on the inside to hide the additional framing. It looks horrible and does not stick very well. read more

ANOTHER UPDATE, JOE IS A CHILDISH MANCHILD THAT DOES NOT WANT TO MAKE HIS MISTAKES RIGHT. Instead he slams the phone up and down on the desk and screams! He wants to put holes in my new windows to correct his mistake of not ordering the correct hardware on original order. Also wants to paint over the foam insulation on the outside of my house, leaving the unsightly foam on the trim. Thought the whole idea of replacement windows is to not have paint that will need repainted, in the future. I WOULD RUN FROM MR WINDOW AND SURE WISH ID CHOSE ANOTHER WINDOW BRAND SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS ARROGANT TW@T! As stated I'm updating my review and dropping from 3 stars to 1! Complete incompetence from the start!!! Been 5 months and my windows are still not complete or what I ordered, nor match my contract! I can really see this headed to small claims court as Joe has been MIA since selling the job and brief response to my bad review promising resolution that has yet, to happen!!! Window labor warranty is only one year but with a review it's two. So here's my review! I contacted Joe with Mr Window at the beginning of June 2022 to inquire about a specific brand "Okna" windows after contacting (Okna) and was told he was the guy for Indianapolis. I sent an email with dimensions and he sent me a quote, within a couple days. Once we got details ironed out, he sent Dave, to double check my measurements and to pick up a check to get the job started. This was a pain free and pleasant experience and I was very happy with the overall process. I was told 10-12 weeks for install. Well, it only took 8 weeks. I am very pleased with my choice of windows and the craftsmanship of the Okna 800 DX windows. This part, initial contact and the windows themselves, I give 5 stars! The install was yesterday 8-3-2022 and went pretty good. But there were some things I think could have been done better. 1) it was hot, the guys got dirt and sweat all over the windows and frames. 2) sticker residue was left all over the glass 3) during the process of removing my old windows, my trim and sills were gouged in spots (it is only drywall on the sides) I had to patch these areas. My trim had the caulked areas broke loose and was left this way. 4) this part I was told by Dave that he would come back and repair but no way was I gonna wait for the to happen. But the installer, broke my toilet paper roll holder from the wall and a small shelve on the opposite wall. Instead of telling me, he left it for me to find. If I was told, I don't think it'd been a big deal but the way it was push back to try to hide it, till the holder was used and just hit the floor, didn't sit right with me. 5) I think my 3 yr old nephew could have done a better job caulking the outside. Even the inside was smeared and being silicone caulk, makes it a pain, to paint. Which after caulking my trim pieces, I had to do. I actually question the outside holding up. 6) I did t watch all 8 windows being installed but the 4 I did, I was surprised that I never seen a level or shims, being used. Just slip them in opening, make sure the reveal is even all the way around and run a screw at all 4 corners in till they stop. Never seen anything like it but I guess they're the professionals... This part, I won't hold against Mr Window as I don't know if they was ordered wrong or if Okna, assembled them wrong. But, I was supposed to have brushed satin hardware and received white. I was told they was on order and they'd come back to swap out, when the hardware arrives. But even this, I think I should have been made aware of before I pointed it out... Maybe I expect to much but for what we pay for replacement window (close to $1100 a piece) I guess I expected to be left with a clean window, frame and my house in the same condition as before they arrived. I spent 4-5 hrs between yesterday and today fixing the dirty windows, broken toilet paper holder, shelf and recaulking trim. Maybe more but I repainted the trim as I was going and hard to separate out. Now don't get me wrong, Dave was great and I truly believe if he had been here for the whole install, a lot of this wouldn't have happened. But he was sent out to do measuring for future jobs, returning to trim the inside. I'm not sure he went around and checked the outside but I'm hoping he does, when he returns to change out hardware. My first experience with them went well. Left a positive review. Second experience on a new to me home was horrendous. I gave rough dimensions and said full frame replacements with half screens. Both requests were put into the contract. They ordered for typical replacement based on their measurements, which weren't correct for replacements let alone full frame replacement. The install practices were terrible from flashing to air sealing, so they agreed to allow me to cash and carry. Another 5 months passed, I went to pick up the windows and noticed they weren't half screen. They assured me they were. I didn't want to unwrap the windows so I left. Fast forward, we've both verified these particular windows can't even be ordered with half screens, so someone messed up the ordering. Rather than paying for new screens for me, they've refused to honor the contract. The company CAN make them and void my warranty, but Mr. Window just won't order it. Never again will I deal with this company. Beautiful view, pay thousands for new windows just to blur my view because this company won't honor their contract or mistakes over a $400 fix. read more

We chose Mr Window over a competitor for the main reason that they do their own installations and don't sub contract it out! Over all we are very pleased with the new windows. I will say Mr Window was about $1000 more than our other option, but we still decided to use them as we wanted quality windows installed correctly, and without the hassle of dealing with subcontractors. The only thing I think they could improve on is clean up, as I have a toddler and baby in the house and both their rooms very dusty(including their bed sheets) and I found quiet a few large wooden splinters in the floor, other than that they did great and worked fast! read more

Wow! From my very first conversation with the owner, Joe, to my last handshake with the installer, Matt, I have been more than satisfied with the service. I got 8 windows replaced for my condo this week and I instantly notice the change in airflow (or lack of) now that I have a sealed tight home. I had serious drafts coming in from all over the house due to old windows. That is gone! I also notice my home being 80% quieter of outside noise (traffic, neighbors, dogs, barking) because of the high quality Okna windows that Joe recommended for me. I just took a nap and wasn't awoken by something outside for the first time since I moved in! I have to brag on Matt Boyd, the installer for a little bit. He was the most courteous person, friendly and trustworthy while he was in my home and with regard to keeping me updated on the 2 day project & expectations. If he is available, I HIGHLY recommend you request Matt to be one of the main installers on your project. After getting several estimates for window replacement, I chose Mr Window because there was no high pressure sales pitch and Mike Sullivan listened to exactly what I could afford and what the HOA specs were. Their office immediately responded to follow-up questions and revisions to my original order. The installation process went very smoothly and professionally. There was great attention to details, such as how to remove the old windows without damaging the surrounding structure (I don't even have to repaint around the new windows). I decided to schedule an estimate with Mr. Window, because of the glowing reviews online. I need 16 windows replaced and asked the sales associate, Mike, for two quotes: one for the total replacement and the other priced by window. Rather than provide a typed estimate, as I expected and received from other window companies, he scrawled the estimate on the back of the brochures for the windows he recommended. Nonetheless, he was prompt about returning my phone calls and courteous when answering all my questions. After doing further research online, I selected the Sunrise Essential windows because of the quality and price; I wasn't ready to commit to a total replacement and decided to only replace four windows. I noticed that Mr. Window offered a deal on the installation of seven Sunrise Essential windows on Angie's List that was about $50 lower than the price per window quoted to me, so I emailed Mike to ask 1) for a price adjustment to match that deal, and 2) if Mr. Window could match a competitor's estimate that was nearly $100 less per window for comparable windows. He emailed back that, because I was only having four windows installed, he couldn't match the Angie's List deal, but that he could match the competitor's estimate. However, when I showed up at Mr. Window to sign the contract, Mike said that he'd "made a mistake" and couldn't match the competitor's price; he did though offer to match the Angie's List deal for the four windows. I felt this was a "bait-and-switch" tactic to get me to pay a higher price, but I had already decided on the Sunrise Essentials so I signed the contract. I still feel that any pricing estimate extended in writing, like the email I have from Mike agreeing to match the competitor's price, should be honored, even if a "mistake." The installer no-called, no showed for the first measurement appointment that I made. I had to call Mr. Window five days after the missed appointment to reschedule (the office manager had no idea that the installer skipped the appointment). On installation day, Ennis and his assistant worked quickly; he, too, courteously answered questions I had about the installation process. Except for the screws removed from the old storm windows that littered my garden bed after the job was completed, all of the materials from the installation were cleaned up. The new windows do look great (and I hope they are efficient this winter). I never received a final invoice and called Mr. Window two weeks after the installation to request one be sent to me. The company, however, was quick to call me a week later to say my bill was in collection. When I have the other 12 windows replaced this fall or next spring I will likely choose another window company for two reasons: 1) the renege on the email agreement to match the competitor's price, and 2) the amount of follow-up on my part after the no-call, no show measurement appointment and to obtain a final invoice. read more

We went to Mr. window after bad experiences with two competitors. All I can say is I wished I had found them first, We had to replace a sliding glass door. Sounds simple right? After lousy service, inaccurate information and rude people coming to our house from the competition, at Mr. window we experienced extremely well informed and knowledgeable sales people, and the people who visited our home to measure and then install were professional, friendly and did quick, top notch work. Chris came out to our home, looked at old windows and issues having, non pushy very informative person, discussed various options for us, did not try to over sell anything. As he states he lets the windows sell themselves we went with Okna vinyl replacement windows; correct. An installer came out to measure windows. 5 weeks after measurements, called to make appointment for installation. They hire their own trained installers, very knowledgeable good at their craft, discussed plan and time will take to install. I have been trying for almost two months to get replacement parts for a Seeway window we purchased from Mr. Window. I contacted the salesman who sold them to us. I was told the installation manager had quit, so there was nobody to do repairs. After several phone calls, I was referred to the manufacturer in Pennsylvania. I sent photos of the broken pieces and was told the pieces would be mailed to me. I checked back two weeks later, because the pieces hadn't arrived. I was told this time that my request had to go through the warranty verification process, which would take six weeks. We are trying to sell our house, and this broken window will come up on an inspection report. At this point, I would be happy to pay for the pieces. read more

I didn't even take it to the next step of checking out their products or getting a quote due to the complete lack of customer service when talking to them on the phone. After asking us why we were doing someone else's project and getting the response does it change anything if it is not our home. He rudly hung up the phone on us. We needed a couple of bathroom windows for a remodel, and when I called Mr. Window I was told that they wouldn't come out to give me a quote for just two windows, then it dawned on me that they do patio doors as well, and after receiving a very high quote a couple of years ago from 2 box stores, I didn't think we could afford to replace them, but thought, well if they are here, let's see what they have to say. They were so reasonable! Our salesman, Mike Sullivan, was friendly and never felt like I was being forced to make any kind of fast decision. We wanted to come in to the showroom to see the doors, and with our work schedules, we really needed to come in on a Sat. Mike met us on a Sat morning and took his time going over all the benefits of the patio doors with us, answered all of our questions and never made us feel rushed, or that we had put him out to come in to the office on a Sat. We decided to purchase and when it was install time, Shawn came out and installed one of the doors and the two windows, came back the next morning, but due to weather had to reschedule the install of the 2nd door. He came out, as promised, on a Sat am and he and (another) Mike got the big door installed in like 2 1/2 hours!
