This year I decided to support our local shops within my city (South Gate). I found this little mom and pop shop that repairs windows and screens. I needed 6 window screens. Their prices were fair and my window screens were ready ahead of schedule. If you'd like an accurate estimate of what it'll cost to replace or repair your screens bring them into their shop. Also they advertise accepting credit card but I was told "cash only" when I came in. I'm not docking points because they were the most local professionals I found. read more

I literally just had my windows fitted today. The lady from the office was helpful, the actual windows appear to be fine however the installation and finishing quality is certainly not quality. The supervisor came out to see our issue and honestly was not professional at all and greatly underestimated my intelligence by blaming the walls and not the simple fix of taking the time to scribe in the moulding to fit the wall. Ultimately I know the walls are not straight however the job is to at least make them look straight. In no house anywhere are the walls perfectly straight so this is no excuse. Simple fix of cutting the strip at a slight angle would have solved the problem. Any how his answer was: well we will leave u the plastic moulding and you can do it your self! Our answer is: yes you do that because we can do a better job! I will not be using this company for my other 5 windows and patio door. read more

Lady who answered phone, she is the one with a heavy accent, was very unprofessional, unpleasant and unhelpful. I missed one call from them and she kept mentioning that no one had answered when they call, which I did not denied I told her I missed theyre call and that's the reason I was calling back, but instead of resolving the issue and handling it like a professional she was too hung up on the missed call. It was horrible speaking with her, she shouldn't be answer phone with such a bad attitude and so unpleasant. read more

I called Abel Glass to help me with a window that wouldn't stay open in my bathroom. Abel Glass sent their workers to my house and fixed my window quickly and for a very reasonable price. This Glass Company has the worse CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever seen I called them and they stated that they will go to my residence, and call me with the hour of arrival before they go to my residence, and they call me when they were at my house, so I was not home. I gave them another chance, so I called them back, and they stated that they will be here early Monday morning. Again they did not show up in the morning hours so in the after noon I went to the market, and they call me that they were at my residence, so I told them what happen ? A big double glass custom made window got broken. I called several companies, some of them took the measurements and later excused themselves for not being able to get the custom designs on the glass. Few never called me back. A transnational company got in contact with me three weeks after visiting my home. First it did apologize to me for the high cost it was to replace it, then it gave me the price. I decided to go local and called Abel Glass and Screen. The lady was having a "rude" tone of voice on the phone but I reassured her that I was ready to do business with them if the replacement is done properly. Her voice started to change. A man, I believe his name is Tony, went to my place to take measurements. He was always polite and providing good customer service. Three days later the same lady who answered my call on the first time called me to tell me to be patient because they were looking for another company to make the designs on the glass. For the second time her employee went to my home to make final measurements and to board the window. A week later Tony returned to my home to do the final work replacing the window. Now, three weeks later, everything is perfect like nothing ever happened. I have to make clear that this took place when raining was at its maximum expression. There were very few small bumps, but I also understand that setbacks happen and nobody is perfect. Overall I strongly recommend this local and small business. I will get in contact with Abel Glass and Screen to replace several screens and to do a custom work in my dinning room. these people are so unprofessional. They had me waiting almost a week to get put on the schedule. The lady that answers the phone only says... I don't know. or they will call you back. I expected a call back at 4:30pm .. I called them at 4:45pm .. only to hear that they will call me on Tuesday to see what time on Wednesday they would go out to one of our clients properties. They don't know if in the morning or in the evenings. I asked the lady if she even wanted our business.... her answer was .... why don't you find another company... They obviously don't care about clients. read more
