Since the screws that came with the curtain rod kit were too small and flimsy to support the weight of the rod, we were fortunate that Todd had the proper screws to complete the installation on his fully stocked truck. He provided helpful suggestions about the most affordable and attractive options for the additional window treatments that we need and answered some additional questions we had about some proactive maintenance issues. I had heard Bill and Kathleen's story on the radio numerous times and was very impressed, and I told myself that I would try this company when my house needs new windows. The time finally came this year, and I told my husband to get an estimate from American Vision Windows. The company stood out from the several estimates that we got. From the quote, contract signing to final measurement, everything went well. Although it costs an arm and a leg, we thought it was worth it because we would be getting quality windows and great service. Then it got a bad turn when we received an email from one person in the company saying that one of the windows would not meet the egress requirement. We were confused because both the salesperson and the gentleman who did the measurement told us that all windows would meet the egress requirements. It took several emails and phone calls to resolve this issue. The end result is that we need to pay extra money to expand the window a little bit, and ordered a bigger window. It were stressful moments because we would need to have the new windows installed before Christmas, so any delay in ordering the windows may interrupt the schedule. Luckily, the installation happened yesterday as scheduled. Honestly, up to now, I still do not quite understand, but I would like to follow the expert's advice, and I was glad that somebody in the company caught it before the window was ordered and installed. However, on the date of installation, which was yesterday, the installation crew had no idea about expanding that particular window. No notes and instructions. We had to show the emails to the installation crew and tried our best to explain. That was a big disappointment. On the other hand, the windows are beautiful and cut down the noises a lot. The installation crew was very nice, especially Jose and Gabriel. However, I felt like the project information was not communicated well to the installation crew, and the number of the crew members were not enough. Originally, we was told it would be done between 3-4pm, actually it did not get done till 5pm, on the condition that 2 more crew members showed up in the afternoon. Everybody rushed to leave at the end, and I do not blame them, because they probably did not expect to work so late. There were still nails on one of the window moldings, and my husband did not say anything because he did not want to delay them more. He took them out himself today. My house is an 80-year old house, and they had a hard time to take out some of the old windows and frames. Under time pressure, they banged very hard, and the end result was that some of the moldings and window sills were scratched or damaged badly, and some paint cracked. I would expect some dings on some areas, but it was worse than I expected. Accordingly, although I have beautiful windows, I cannot send any pictures when anybody asks about my new windows because some moldings and window sills look terrible. This was the first time that we changed windows, and we did not think about the installation of the windows would damage moldings and window sills, so we did not specify this in the contract. So now we have to fix all these ourselves. I guess I set my expectation too high based on the owner's story and other people's reviews. I would not say this company is bad, but based on the advertising and the money I paid, I am deeply disappointed. A note to the company, maybe a project manager should be assigned to each house. In our case, we had to talk to numerous people, and not sure who was in charge. read more

10/3/15. After back and forth with customer service, the AVW team agreed to reimburse part of the costs of the changes needed to get our alarm back on line. Mistakes occur on jobs all the time. How they are handled is part of good service. I appreciate them stepping up. ------------ Going to edit my review based on new conditions. At the time I met the sales rep, I was told that our old alarm would have to be updated for the new windows. I contacted the alarm company who said to have the installers leave the wire leads open for them to work on after the install. The AVW rep said that would not be an issue. I signed a contract that the old removal and installation of the old alarm was not their responsibility. Unfortunately, it appears that not only is the removal not their responsibility, they take no responsibility for wiring damage done during the work. While at the time of the install, it appeared to be OK, two days later when I'm about to have our alarm reinstalled, we've discovered that over half the wire leads left open by the AVW crew are no longer functional. The connections broken beneath the newly installed windows. Contacted AVW today and was told I signed the waiver and it as my issue. Not impressed. - Jeff 09/16/15 ----------------- Our little Westside home was built in 1938. Love the old feel and look of the home, but the windows were tired, inefficient, and difficult to work with. And that was just the ones we could even open. The old thin glass let in every neighborhood noise and the rooms cooked in the afternoon sun. After bringing in several vendors, I called in American Vision Windows. Armen came in and was professional and helpful. He spent a lot of time working with me around the house discussing what we could do. The Anlin windows he showed me met my needs and were superior to the offerings I received from other vendors AND cost less. The look and feel of the windows was solid. I've always had an aversion to the vinyl windows, but these changed my mind. I was told to expect about 6 weeks for me order. One month and 1 day later, I had a full crew here to install our 16 windows and 1 sliding door. The install crew was awesome. Friendly, professional, helpful, and clean. We had some concerns about our old alarm wiring and the guys worked with me to resolve the issue quickly and cleanly. They were gone, including two breaks, in under 6 hours. My wife came home and was amazed by the quality and impressed by the cleanliness. It was hard to tell they were even here. The improvement was noticed immediately. The rooms were cooler despite our current heatwave and the house was silent inside. If you're in the market for a quality window installed by a solid crew of guys, I definitely recommend American Vision Window. read more

Great experience with American Vision Windows up and down the line for our window purchase! From the initial consultation to the installation. Every step of the way was professional (and courteous!). Our initial contact was in the showroom with Gene. He was very informative in presenting all the different options and price points. He also made us aware of any rebate programs available to us. Gene was also the person that came out to measure the windows and continued to advise us on what type of windows would be appropriate and what features would and wouldn't work for our house. (I would also like to point out that he was on time for our appointment)(important to me). Once we decided what windows we wanted (Anlin) we got quotes from other companies to make sure we were getting competitive pricing. And we were. The only way we could have gotten windows cheaper would have been to compromise on quality and we are glad we didn't. Once we decided on the Anlin windows with American Vision the rest of the process went very smoothly and painlessly (other than cutting the checks ;o)). Chris Perez and Donna Rennick assisted with the contract and scheduling and we were always kept in the loop while we waited for the windows to be manufactured. Probably most amazing was installation day. I am sorry that I can't remember the names of the three workers that came to install our windows so that I could properly give them their due because these guys were good! They arrived on time. The foreman explained exactly how the installation would proceed and then they proceeded to install all of our windows in one day! These three guys were a well oiled machine! Throughout the day they were courteous and professional.We have a terrier that we had to deal with and the crew was very accomodating with the dog, even going so far as to modifying the installation order so we could more easily segregate the dog. And then they were done! We had new windows! Wow. I can't say enough about these Anlin windows! They are so well made! I am still getting a kick out of opening and closing them they work so smoothly. And quiet?! We have barking dogs that live all around us and when we close these windows we no longer hear them. These are nice windows and with the Anlin warranty we know we will never have to worry about our windows again. If you go with American Vision you will most likely be contacted by the owners via a You Tube video explaining the process as well as explaining their commitment to your satisfaction in the windows and the service you are about to receive. There are not enough superlatives to describe the courtesy, professionalism, and outstanding quality of American Vision Windows personnel and products. From the initial home appointment with General Manager Geo (Geoffrey Parker), I knew American Vision Windows was the stand out company for my two sets of French doors project. There was no limited offer or any other type of pressure to act immediately. My questions about vinyl versus fiber glass were answered promptly and accurately with clarity. I chose Anlin dual glazed, vinyl frame, low clear argon without grids doors. I also learned about an Anlin door policy. If and when I sold the house, the new owners would acquire the same policy assurances for both sets of French doors. That speaks volumes about American Vision Windows belief in the quality and durability of the Anlin doors purchased. Over the course of the project, continuing conversations with the receptionist at American Vision Windows answered all questions with welcome courtesy. She periodically kept me informed with timeline updates for delivery and installation of the French doors. Christian did the measuring and Geo followed up with door hardware choices. Again, no sales pitch or pressure was given for higher priced hardware. After explanations, it was my decision to choose the hardware wanted. Initially thought it best to cover all furniture in both the living room and bedroom. There was no need for this undertaking. The installation crew set up inside tents to protect all furniture and areas. That was not the case with the previous bedroom French doors installation project causing dirt and dust coming into the room covering furniture and floor with no clean up provided. Nacho, Manny, Gabe, and Carlos, the four man installation crew, not only cleaned any left over debris but also moved then replaced all patio furniture and plant pots without being asked to do so. What a welcome gesture. Geo came to inspect the completed installation and asked if I approved and/or had any further questions or concerns. A minor concern was quickly addressed by Geo and the company to my complete satisfaction. American Vision Windows guarantees a satisfied customer! I was so impressed by my experience with American Vision Windows that I highly recommended the company to a friend considering window replacements. She, too, echoed all the above compliments from beginning to completion of her windows project. American Vision Windows (AVW) just installed my new windows and sliding doors. WOW! My new windows and sliding doors are wonderful! Everything opens with ease, and closes firmly with almost no effort. My house is 46 years old. It had ratty screens and rattling windows. They were just plain ugly. Summer heat would pour through the single paned glass, which would shake with the slightest breeze. I couldn't open my sliding doors. It all needed replacement. So I started looking for new windows, and went to another company first. That place only sold the windows; you had to hire a contractor to install them. If there was an issue with sizing during installation or if leaks developed later, I would be caught in the middle of any dispute. Then I went to AVW. They have a great showroom. AVW are experts in window replacement, with their own crew of highly trained installers. The salesman at their showroom, Gonzo, was extremely knowledgeable and witty, and we hit it off immediately. He knew which products would work and look best in our home. He came over to the house and told us how everything would look after replacement (and also took the initial measurements). The quote he gave us was very reasonable. Later, Abraham came to take a second set of measurements, to insure accuracy. Oscar called with the installation time and date. The crew (all 9 of them!) showed up on time and finished early. My thanks to Daniel, Joshua, Sergio Z., Sergio Jr., Javier, Manual, Lucas, George and Alberto for the great job they did. Oscar later arranged appointments for a couple of follow-up items. His attitude was exceptional ("I will pick up the baton and run with it"). Jose finished up with stucco repair on the one window that was new construction, and made it look picture-perfect. Luis came to paint the stucco, and managed to seamlessly match the color of the existing paint. Luis came a second time for some finishing touches. Both Jose and Luis did excellent work. Now I feel like I moved to a new house. Every window looks beautiful. My house is staying much cooler, and the decreased noise level is incredible. The ugly gold edging in my kitchen is gone, replaced with sparkling white trim that looks like I redid my entire kitchen. American Vision Windows is a class act, with service just as excellent as their product. I plan on using them again for my window treatments and to replace my front doors. Thank you, AVW for making my condo come alive. I have a northwestern exposure and as long as I have lived there (23 years) have enjoyed the sunsets. However, I had the original aluminum windows which shook in the wind (had to put a sock in it to sleep) and the screens, well you can imagine how sad they were (I had to patch one where the cat went through it). So, I had been listening to the commercials on the radio (KFI, KABC, KFWB) for about two years and finally decided to take the plunge, after urging from my friends to do so, and call AVW. I got an appointment for Dean to come out after I got home from work, at 7:00 pm, and had my friends attend too. We got a lesson in windows. We were like school kids for an hour looking at all the new toys we could have. Well, Dean gave me a very good deal on living room and bedroom windows, and a balcony sliding door. I chose the tan vinyl. So then the second measure appointment with the boss came up and my friends were there for that too. We were so excited because we were getting closer to having windows that did a sunset justice. About one month later my windows had been built (I had to have a custom patio sliding door) and an installation date for a Saturday was set to accommodate my work schedule. The four installers arrived at 8:30 am and were done by 2:30. It was a major job since every window in the condo was being replaced at the same time. Alex and Juan, excuse me, but can't remember the other two fellows names, were so professional. Just getting the new windows up to the second level of my condo was a job unto itself. I tell you, they figured out where to unload them and raise them up for installation. I was very glad to see the old windows go. They didn't go without a fight, however, it took a lot of heavy equipment to remove them. It took two days for my cat to speak to me again after the disruption, but he sure likes looking out over his kingdom through the new windows (and so do I). After the installers had packed up (and boy do they have a lot of equipment to deal with) and cleaned up (my condo was cleaner after they left for sure) I treated my friends to dinner at the Marina. Fun was had by all and we celebrated AVW doing such a fine job for us. I recommended AVW to my neighbors who dropped by to witness some of the process. Good job, AVW!! read more

American Vision Windows was our 1st choice in terms of quality and warranties. Our sales rep Brad was very friendly and spent a lot of time with us assessing our needs and answering our questions, and after contacting them 1 year later during their holiday promotion, there was an issue for them to honor the full holiday promotion but after speaking with Chris in upper management they corrected the price. Bobby came out to take the final measurements, and was very meticulous. He was able to correct some details since the intial assessment. In the meeting with Bobby it was mentioned to us that we had to pay a permit fee, a surprise that was not included in our grand total, even after we had secured our loan. This was very upsetting because a contractor should include the cost of permits in their quote. According to Angie's List: "When a reputable contractor bids on a project, that bid should include the cost of any required permits. So, your money is ultimately covering the permit cost, but the permits should be issued to your contractor." Fortunately though, we did not intial the box that required us to pay for the permit. Chris honored this additional exception. However, when the window installation crew came to install the windows, they asked me to sign paperwork that required us to reimburse them for the permit. Again, I caught this and approval to waive the permit fee was granted a 2nd time. So, negotiating with this company was a real headache, but we are very pleased with the final product. We had 24 windows installed, two of which were new construction (1 sliding glass door wherein the beam had to be raised to accommodate for its size, and 1 garden window). Nacho, Gabriel, Joshua R., Richard and Rudy did a fantastic job installing each and every single window to perfection. They were very efficient, having all windows installed in only 2 days, and the inspection and stucco work completed on the 3rd day. We were so impressed by Gabriel's work on the sliding glass door: raising our beam, the drywall work, the moldings. We couldn't be happier with the stucco work by Rudy and Nacho. Their waterproofing inspection passed with flying colors and their stucco work matches our existing stucco perfectly--it takes a true artist to do that. We were so grateful to have this crew working for us and could not be happier. read more

I called around to 5 companies getting quotes for 2 windows/1 patio door replacement. American Vision Windows had the best price and customer service by far. Everyone I dealt with(from sales to installation-listed below) was professional, courteous, and very service/detailed oriented--which goes along way when you are competing with other estimates. If doing it all over again in another property, American Vision Windows will be my 1st call and maybe my only call! Amanda- Amanda was my sales rep that worked with me. She listened to what I wanted and worked within my budget. She understood that I deal with a lot of road noise (the road is literally 20ft from my bedroom window and I could hear every exhaust note)--she recommended me the Simonton with the sound package upgrade---I went from hearing 8 out of 10 cars to maybe 2 out of 10...the noise factor when going to bed at night is so much quieter! She was great when working with my colors for matching HOA restrictions. Very detail oriented, listened and then delivered! Christian- Christian was very professional when coming out to measure my windows. He was very service oriented and pointed out all the details of my windows and doors. Gave me my expectations on Windows/Patio Door while being very professional. This company is,hands down, the best in the business. I needed new windows and sliders around my property. I had interviewed several other window companies, which it seemed, were all just giving me lip service - and just wanted a sale. I could tell they really didn't care about the customer. American Vision Windows are a top notch company. Gina was my consultant who is extremely knowledgeable and thorough in explaining the best windows for my needs. She gets it and understands what a client wants and needs without being pushy. She is amazing. I also had the pleasure of speaking with Chris. Chris is another amazing individual of this company. He not only calmed my nerves, but he assured me I was in the best hands. He took the time to speak with me WHENEVER I needed to ask him a question. If I left him a message, he would call me back. Amazing. Tim is another person I spoke with, who explained in more detail and depth about the windows I was inquiring about. Todd came out to measure everything to get exact measurements. Everything was the exact size they needed to be - not one mistake. On the day of the install, the guys, two crews, showed up on time. They were here for no more than 15 minutes to set up and remeasure - then they went straight to work - working on both units at the same time. There was no chatter or loafing around. These guys got to work and installed everything the same day in a timely and professional manner. About 45 minutes into the work being done, I got a call from Jim who wanted to make sure the guys were on the job and working. Then I was given his direct cell number to contact him should there be any questions or problems. These windows are AMAZING!!! I am a cancer survivor and due to my new windows and sliders - that block out noise - I am finally able to not only have peace in my own home, but I can finally SLEEP through the night without being woken or jolted up by loud noises. It is always wise to get more than one quote for windows. I found American Vision Windows (AVW) not to be the least costly, or the most costly. They were in the middle. However, the saying "You get what you pay for" really rings true here! AVW is outstanding and worth every penny! Before making my decision, I drove 30 miles to their showroom where General Manager Josh gave me a tour of everything and I could see my future windows in person. I observed every employee appeared happy in their work and happy to be working with each other. A very positive vibe! Mike C, my representative, not only gave me window options in his proposal but was consistently involved with all aspects of pre-contract, signing, installation, and post installation. He was always visible, accessible, and responsive to all communication and still is. On installation day, a swat team of three fully identifiable AVW trucks arrived, on time, uniformed with AVW logos and ready to work under the supervision of Omar B. The team of Luis C, Mauricio, Manuel, Jayson, and Emidio were each specialized in their tasks and truly took time and pride in their work. I was so nervous about replacing five pre-WWII windows on an older home and this team reassured me that I was in great hands. Supervisor Omar was involved in all aspects of the work and made sure to inspect the work of his crew. All was in sync and flawless! I shed tears, the work was so well done! Meanwhile, back at the corporate office, Georgette was working with my City on permit and inspections. Angela was coordinating and scheduling the crew. Kerstin was working on my final invoice and receipt. AVW is family owned and run and treats everyone like family. American Vision windows and their team were great. We purchased an older home with the original windows and realized right away they would need to be replaced. After some research we decided between the place who did our last windows and American Vision. We had a friend who recommended them to us. So first I called the other place, and after asking for my information, and then having to repeat it because she really wasn't listening, said she would need to call me right back. I then called American Vision and had an appointment right away. The other place never did call me back. Mike came out measured everything and spent a lot of time giving us all the options without any pressure. It was nice to have different manufacturers and price levels available. We ended up going with Anlin windows and were so surprised at the quality of the window being offered for such a great price that we ordered them that day. We did have a discount mailer that helped and it was well worth it. A few days later, I believe his name was Dave, came out and measured again in much more detail. It took about 4 weeks to get the windows. On the day of the install Sergio, Ron, Martin and Terrance arrived on time and got right to work. The first thing Sergio did was measure again to make sure what they had on the truck matched the order. They were so efficient covering everything, removing the old windows and installing the new ones with such precision. We even had a big sliding door replaced and they didn't miss a beat. All in all we had 13 windows and a slider replaced in about 7 hours. After they were done Sergio again walked us through every window showing us how they worked but also double checking that everything looked and worked right. All the employees we dealt with were so polite and really took the time. They cared about us the customer and making sure everything was done right. Window replacement can be a daunting task, but as the KFI-640 ad states Bill and Kathleen wants your window replacement to be better than what they experienced. From start to finish the whole process of getting new windows was a breeze when working with American Vision Windows. Josh came up to Idyllwild to give us a quote that was the best of 3 quotes. Very friendly and explained about the company, windows and the whole process. Albert came out to take measurements which took no time at all and was friendly as well and let us know that the windows would most likely be ready closer to December. You can imagine how happy we were when we got the call at the end of October letting us know that the windows were ready. The installation took place on a Friday - the AMAZING CREW consisting of Jim, Corey, Raul and Ramero showed up at 9:30am. I also got a call from Jim making sure that the crew showed up safely which I thought was a nice touch. The crew of 4 got right to work, around noon they took a break for some lunch and then started right back up finishing the job by 3:30pm. They definitely have installed a few windows as they had a great system in place and they were all very friendly. They laid down drop cloths so as to not do any damage to our hard wood floors and they did an amazing job of cleaning up afterwards. After the install we were shown how each window works including the ease of taking the window and screens out to clean them. The other thing we like about this company is that they offer a lifetime warranty that transfers to the next homeowner - anything happens they will be out to take care of the problem. A heartfelt THANK YOU to the whole team that took care of our window installation. We love the way they look and the ease of use. If you are looking for a great window experience I highly recommend this group. Just had a new patio slider installed by American Vision Windows. The installation was fast, and the quality of work shows. I can't say enough about the installation crew or the quality of the product. For this, I strongly recommend American Vision windows. I also have to say that this interaction was not completely positive. As I should've learned many years ago, never trust a sales person. At the beginning of this process the representative stood in our living room and promised they would be there throughout the entire process and would keep us informed along the way. She also said standard time is 6 to 8 weeks for installation but it'll probably be a lot less than that. Fast forward eight weeks. Still nothing from the sales person so I reached out to her by text. The next day she responded and said simply I will have someone from scheduling contact you. I did hear from scheduling only to find out that my door was ready. I have no idea how long it had been ready or whether I would have received a call if I had not reached out to them. Certainly a stumble but not a complete fall. Then this happened. When the sales person was standing in my living room she had me initial a form to say that I understood there was no permit necessary for this work. I happily initialed it. Four days before installation, I am notified by my HOA way that I must present a permit. Turns out the city of Camarillo does require a permit for this type of work. I reached out to American Vision Windows and was initially told sorry, you will have to get the permit because if we do it for you it will cost $150. I asked them to consider waiving that since they gave me bad information but the answer was no. It wasn't until I called back the next day stating that I was so upset I was ready to cancel my order that they finally agreed to waive the fee and get my permit for me. In the end they did the right thing and I think if I had not had any interaction with their sales people this would've been a very pleasant experience overall. read more

A Great Company with Excellent Customer Service, A Terrific Installation Team and Genuine Integrity! We had a great experience with American Vision Windows. From the initial sales presentation by Armen which was relaxed and not at all high pressure, to the office staff who were always super nice on the phone, to the installation crew who were experts and very polite, our experience was truly great. Their windows are top quality and look great. We're looking forward to see our energy usage decrease next summer which I am confident will be the case due to the top of the line coating that prevents heat from penetrating to the inner glass and into our home. A final note regarding their integrity. We had our house painted after the windows were done and during that work one of our windows cracked. We naturally assumed it was caused by the painting crew. They were super nice about it and took responsibility but each of the workers had no idea how it had happened. We contacted American Vision and told them the story and they provided us a price to replace the glass. Our painter deducted the replacement cost of the glass from our final payment with no hassles. Today the American Vision crew came to replace the glass. When they looked at the window the expert installers told us that they were sure the painters did not crack the window and that it looked like a minor installation flaw put pressure on it causing the crack. They replaced the glass free of charge while accepting their responsibility for the install flaw! Wow! Totally unexpected and a demonstration of the incredible integrity of their company. If they hadn't told us what they felt they genuinely knew to be the cause of the crack we would never had known. Now I have to contact my painter and give him back his money! It's clear to me that American Vision trains their employees to have the kind of integrity that I'm sure the owners have made a high priority in their business. Excellent consultation. Excellent scheduling/coordination. Excellent installation. And excellent follow up. Companies like this are rare these days and finding one is difficult. After doing some research through the various window companies that service our area we decided to give American Vision a shot. I had every intention on hearing the typical sales pitch and then moving on to another place to compare prices and whatnot. But after the salesman (Jack M) went through everything, there was no question and no need for us to look further. Even if their prices had been a little higher I was sold on the customer service right away, and that is huge for us. But, as it turned out, their prices were very good and the windows proved to be every bit as good as Jack said they would be. We went with the recommended Anlin vinyl windows and replaced 14 of them in total. We were told the windows would be done and ready for installation 4-6 weeks after measurements. They ended up being complete in 5 weeks and installed a few days later. The installer (Sam) and his assistant were about 15 minutes early and very polite. They took great care to ensure the difficult seals around the arched windows were perfectly done along with all the other window installations. When complete, everything was cleaned up and you would never have known they were even there. All lines were straight, all seals were properly installed, and they took the time to show us how to operate and clean the windows and answer any questions we had. We were so impressed with this company and Jack that we referred them (and him) to our friends who also ended up ordering all their replacement windows the following week. And I would not hesitate to recommend them again. This is one of the biggest investments you can make in your home and it's very important how the customer is treated throughout the process. Wow, we love our new Anlin doors and windows, and appreciate the excellent service from American Vision Windows just as much! We HIGHLY recommend the quality products and everyone on this professional team. The product: Josh helped us review the options and we decided to go with the Del Mar windows and Malibu doors with Sun Matrix. (Our windows and doors face west and get really intense summer sun, so temperature control and UV resistance were a priority.) They were installed just in time for the latest "heat advisory" with triple digit outdoor temps, we couldn't believe the difference compared to our original single pane aluminum frame windows, wow! We're so happy to enjoy the outdoor views even more, now that we don't need to close the window blinds to control the heat. Everything feels solid, well made, and easy to use. And the sound control, what a difference! We live near a highway with constant traffic, and now barely hear a thing, it's so much more peaceful inside. Overall improvement in quality of life: Five stars! The service: Communication, friendliness and professionalism have been great all along. Starting with Laura and Angela for easy scheduling, then Christian doing precise measurements (since everything is custom made), and wrapping up with an amazing installation crew, we felt confident we made the right decision. After the installation of the windows and large screen patio door in the living room, my family was pleased with the results. However, after the first rain, we noticed that the rainwater was coming in through the small gaps from the top and bottom part of the large screen patio door. After recalling the company about the issue, the company sent out their company representative to observe the deterioration, and the company representative only sealed up the top outside molding gap with silicon and ignored the bottom gap. However, after the second rain, we noticed again that the rainwater was coming in less amount than before through the small gap from the bottom part of the large screen door, in the living room. After calling the company regarding the issue, the company did not send any representatives to observe the deterioration or fix the deterioration after the second rain and did not communicate back to us. So far, the company decided to ignore my request for 3 weeks already. Additionally, after the installation of the large screen door, the installers ignored my request to restore the wall stucco under the plastic rain shield panel and instead used water-resistant material to seal up the gap, which resulted in cracks forming due to rainwater and moisture build-up. In my opinion, the person who recommended me to go with this company was set up because the company conducted an unprofessional manner of installation. So, I would not recommend going with this company and I am really disappointed with the company's actions towards their customers. After the update in my opinion, the project manager still has 5 starts for his job but the service director and installers team gets 2 starts because the service director doesn't have the flexibility to set up an appointment with the customer to resolve the mistake that should've not been created from the beginning by installers. My wife and I interviewed three different companies. Two of the companies where recommended by friends, American Vision being one. This was not a easy chose, as all three presented well. We picked American Vision based on 3 things, pricing, quality of product, and time to complete the install. The order time ended up being less than quoted by 3 weeks, very nice. The crew showed up on time and did a great job. We had 4 windows replaced, a slider replaced, and 2 windows converted to sliders. They had to cut out the walls and move electrical for the 2 sliders. They also installed new porch lights for all sliders. The crew finished in the early afternoon (quote stated could take up to 2 days), everything cleaned up and spent time with us on what they did and to review the use of the new windows, and sliders. They even made sure the automatic lighting was working correct. We had to do NO CLEANUP after they left. Just move our furniture back that we moved out of the way. My wife and I are very happy with our new windows and sliders. We have already noticed the difference in the noise reduction. I would highly recommend American Vision, but please do your own shopping and research. That way you know you did your part in the selection and will have the same satisfaction that I have when all completed. Warning on city permits. American Vision stated we should not need to pull a permit. But did warn if someone complained to the city that could change. Guess what? I have a POS neighbor that complained to the city and had to spend $450 for a permit. American Vision took care of getting the permit for us and charged us for the $450 only. Five days later it took the inspector all of 2 minutes to inspect and left with the comment that everything looks great (SERIOUS). So check with your city for the need of a permit and what the expense is, just in case. read more

When it came, it was not measured correctly so I had to wait another 6 months for the next door. so now the door is installed, I had to pay again to get it repainted. Guess what, 6 months later, that new door cracked. They will not replace the door so I have to live with a cracked door since they told me it is past warranty. their solution...pay another $1500 to install a fiberglass door as a replacement. I would not even give this company 1 star if I could.
