Racist!!!!! I was in line to try on some overalls. There were two ppl infront of me. A male staff came and asked them one by one if they were helped or needed a room. Both of them just happened to be waiting. Then it was my turn but the staff just glances at me and walks alway!!! WTF! I have been shopping at this store since they first opened the doors, and I like it--or at least I really do like some things about it. The store is big, with a great selection of clothes, but a small thing I've noticed is that, unlike clothes I get from other stores, the clothes I get here aren't easily transformed into work-appropriate. It's not a big deal if I like whatever it is I bought, but it is nice to be able to wear my clothes to work and outside of work. I think the clothes themselves are made well and have a price that reflects that, but they offer various sales, so it's always worth taking the time to stop in and see what the offerings may be. Unfortunately for me, they don't offer anything in extra-small, period. That means that what I can buy there is limited to things I might want to fit a little loose; recently however, especially for their henleys, their small size is running more like a medium and looks ridiculous on me. So far, my experience with customer service has been mixed, though it has never been bad. As a matter of fact, this last year the service at this location has definitely gotten better and more consistent--several employees greeted me and offered assistance. There are really only two things about this store I don't particularly like--in fact, these two things make me want to leave the store: 1) the lighting in there is dim, and the clothes don't always look the same once they're in better lighting, and 2) it freaking reeks in there; I mean goddamn, if I stay in there too long I actually start to get a headache. Anyway, despite those two things, I still think it's worth a person's time to stop in--just take nose-plugs and a flashlight with you. read more

This place has horrible customer service. They screwed up processing an order in the system that was already paid for online. Because of their mistakes, they refused to deliver the package which had been paid for already. The manager just blamed it on technology when she had the ability to simply solve the problem if she wanted to. Either the managers have no authority or they never had any training in customer service. This experience was totally infuriating. Finally after a half an hour, I was able to get the package but it was a total waste of time. read more

I was buying a $90 dollar perfume here for a relative and I asked the sales associate if there were any promotions that could be applied. She said there is a $25 dollars off $100 promotion that could be applied so I looked around for 20-30 minutes and found something else to purchase so that it would be over $100. Then at the check out, the same sales associate was not able to use the coupon and she called another coworker over. The other coworker told us that fragrances could not be used for the coupon. I asked them if they could manually apply the discount as the sales associate herself told us we could use the promotion and we had spent extra time looking around for something but they said they couldn't do anything. It was frustrating to be given misinformation from the sales associate and it wasted our time. read more

Keeping all five of my senses is pretty important to me personally. When I can not breathe due to my nose being clogged, is a problem. I do not know the secrets behind Abercrombie's sense of style, but having their perfume filtered through the vents and developing a headache was not what I was looking for on a Saturday night. While their clothes are cute and sweet, no size ever seems to fit someone bigger than a small. Personally, I fit into more larger clothes due to the curves of my body, and I am very restrained when browsing through this store. Finding help is almost impossible to do when the staff blends in with the shoppers, and do not reach out to fill the needs of the customers. Also, checking out purchases proves to be a challenge in the dark. A flash light is recommended if one does not have night vision. The clothes are always adorable and the styles ever changing, but some store adjustments might need to be made to adhear to all their consumers. read more

The experience I had on the 13th of February, 2012 at your Abercrombie & Finch store at Fox Valley Mall in Aurora was the worst retail experience I have had in my life. I entered your store with the intention of purchasing an item I had seen on your website and making a return. When I asked your employee, Kristin, ( a blond female around 5'3, who claimed to be the manager of the store) to help me, she refused to check the inventory to see if the store had that particular item. It was noticeably palpable that she had no intention of assisting customers and seemed outright lazy. It was her lack of professionalism; however, that really struck me. Not only did she lack customer service skills, but she was blatantly rude and arrogant. Next I asked her to assist me in returning an item I had purchased a day ago. She actually told me that she would not do so, without inspecting the item or receipt. I was utterly shocked by her bazaar behavior. When I tried to explain to her that the terms of the contract stated on the back of the receipt allows a customer to make a return, she interrupted me and began yelling that she was the manager and had the liberty to do as she very well pleased. When I asked her to refrain from screaming she summoned a male employee who was standing in another room to vouchsafe on her behalf, that she was not yelling. Following which, she asked me to leave the store. Your manager Kristin's behavior was simply unprofessional, disgusting, and ludicrous. She was obviously on a power trip and seemed very unhappy to be working at your store. Your store manager Kristin's arrogant and rude behavior makes her unfit to work in the retail industry or to work as a manager. This is not Europe! In the United States, customers are always right! And customers are treated with dignity and respect. You really need to train your employees and teach them about customer service which is a concept that is unmistakably alien to them. When a customer walks away with such a poor experience it clearly reflects on your brand. In fact, the experience is associated with the brand. The brand and the so called A & F experience you are selling is pretty pathetic. You have forever lost a loyal customer. I will opt to purchase clothes from SuperDry instead. You can also bank on the fact that I will relay my horrendous experience at your Aurora store to everyone. read more
