I will try to make this short, but thre was so much…read more First I was tild by my Option who refeffed me that it was free as my Health ins would cover Caterac surg, Which was partially true. It did not cover tge "special drops for eyes" about $100.00. Also didn't cover surgery center-$300 I went at my eye drs recommenadation. At my 3 or 4th visit Surgeon said because my astigmatism in both eyes a reg surg would not give me the result (no glasses) but for $1300 per lense I could get a toric lense (not covered by ins) implanted which corrects that.All had to be paid up front. I am retired on ssi and not a lot of extra money----but I said since I am only going to do this ONE time ok.After about a month both eyes were done With multiple eye dr appts copay is for specialist for eye drs. Anyway I did all this because I figured if no longer need flasses.... Long story short I went fo glasses my opt gave a script for driving glasses and needed reading glasses. This was not what I signed up for. I tried it-as I had no choice, but went back and told him-I could not my computer with either. Finally I went back to my optom and told I was NOT HAPPY & had to go back to Bifocals. He had a hard time fitting me and even worse his office didn't order them right for 3 trys. When I told him how unhappy I was his snwer was "Well, it; was surgery. You can't gaurantee results! i was ANGRY. I went then went to a new Opt who explained That I could see near and far but not mid range and because they put he toric lens in that will never change. He was able to fit me with bi-focals.I see ok with them. But now I had to pay exam AGAIN since my insur allowance was used. I HAD TO PAY FOR ANOTHER PAIR OF GLASSES! i KNOW THIS WILL NOT BE EVERYONES RESULT, but ask questions so hopefully you knw what you wil be getting into. I would not have gotten the"Premiuum" lenses had I known. Good luck

After some time and consideration, I have decided to express my displeasure and feeling of being…read moreduped by The Eye Care Center of Geneva. In years gone by, Dr. Piper of The Eye Care Center advised me against getting prescription glasses, noting that "cheaters" would be enough for me. She was obviously looking out for the patient's best interest; but, as I have aged, my distance vision has slipped. I can still pass a motor vehicle eye test, but it is not the clarity that I once had. With this in mind, I went to The Eye Care Center to improve my condition by way of a vision screening. After a series of chart readings and responses to the question of, "which is better," I received their prescription. Relying on their motto of, "See the Difference!" I expected "better" vision. No one cautioned me any that my condition would result in an imperceptible improvement (basically unnoticeable) in distance vision. Instead, they compounded the situation by upselling me on additional options that resulted in ballooning personal expense which were useless without improved vision. Thus, if you go to The Eye Care Center of Geneva, don't assume that they have your best interests in their mind. They upsell their products; and, completely neglect to tell you that you may not see any improvement. I would strongly advise anyone to: 1) ask pointed questions about future improved vision performance, and 2) to realize you can often get the same results at a discount optical center - - - and, sometimes get more than one pair of glasses for a far lesser cost! BUYER BEWARE! The Eye Care Center of Geneva has lost my business and probably should not get yours.

The eye doctor didn't know how to help me with an eyesight issue and told me to talk to my PCP instead. That issue is something he should've been able to help me with, after all, he's an eye expert. Another thing, is after I was rushed through my eye exam, waiting for the prescription and while waiting in the lobby... the male optician, Gene, tried to get me to look at frames when I couldn't see a thing. My eyes were dilated and he was trying to make a sale with me. How could I buy anything, see how the frames looked on me, if I couldn't see? I just don't get this place. The receptionist, Sara can be sweet, but she hasn't always been so sweet. During the pandemic my young child was with me and she said my young child couldn't come with me to the frames area. That they had to wait out in the lobby by themselves, without me. I was furious! How could she ask me to abandon my child, leave them out there alone? Breaking her "rules" was not acceptable. They have great frames that are cool and interesting, different from other places. But if the other parts are lacking, which they are, I won't be back. It's unfortunate.
