I will try to make this short, but thre was so much…read more First I was tild by my Option who refeffed me that it was free as my Health ins would cover Caterac surg, Which was partially true. It did not cover tge "special drops for eyes" about $100.00. Also didn't cover surgery center-$300 I went at my eye drs recommenadation. At my 3 or 4th visit Surgeon said because my astigmatism in both eyes a reg surg would not give me the result (no glasses) but for $1300 per lense I could get a toric lense (not covered by ins) implanted which corrects that.All had to be paid up front. I am retired on ssi and not a lot of extra money----but I said since I am only going to do this ONE time ok.After about a month both eyes were done With multiple eye dr appts copay is for specialist for eye drs. Anyway I did all this because I figured if no longer need flasses.... Long story short I went fo glasses my opt gave a script for driving glasses and needed reading glasses. This was not what I signed up for. I tried it-as I had no choice, but went back and told him-I could not my computer with either. Finally I went back to my optom and told I was NOT HAPPY & had to go back to Bifocals. He had a hard time fitting me and even worse his office didn't order them right for 3 trys. When I told him how unhappy I was his snwer was "Well, it; was surgery. You can't gaurantee results! i was ANGRY. I went then went to a new Opt who explained That I could see near and far but not mid range and because they put he toric lens in that will never change. He was able to fit me with bi-focals.I see ok with them. But now I had to pay exam AGAIN since my insur allowance was used. I HAD TO PAY FOR ANOTHER PAIR OF GLASSES! i KNOW THIS WILL NOT BE EVERYONES RESULT, but ask questions so hopefully you knw what you wil be getting into. I would not have gotten the"Premiuum" lenses had I known. Good luck

My husband, daughter and I are all patients of Dr. Guy and all agree that he's one of the best. At my most recent appointment, Dr. I, an optometry resident, treated my five-year-old and was fabulous! He was kind and funny and treated my daughter SO well - even in the midst of her eye drop-related meltdown. The office itself is in an unsuspecting Henrietta Plaza, but the waiting room is modern and bright. Can't recommend Family Vision Center more highly.

When arrived they wanted to do another eye exam (not covered by insurance as I just had one). This was not needed - I just needed information about drops and ointments. When I asked to just speak to the doctor I was told I could not without submitting to and paying for another eye exam. They refused to help me. Taking my business elsewhere.  I am sure they will reply it is needed, but it was not. It is a protocol that does not fit the needs of the patient in my case and about making money over prioritizing patient need.

The office is practicing COVID safety measures and only allowing people with appointments in. They even keep the gate down. There is sanitizer everywhere and all staff wears masks. My exam was very thorough and I was out within 30-40 minutes including having to wait for my eyes to dilate. Every single person there is professional but friendly. They all make the atmosphere relaxing and pleasant which is important any time you're having a exam of any kind! This location is the best I've been too.

Initial experience was positive, at least with the doctor --- but I later discovered how poor the…read moreoverall experience here was. I allowed myself to be advised on the type of lenses to purchase (their most expensive and the most expensive that I have had and I have worn glasses for almost 25 years) --- the lenses started showing cracks and scratches just after a year, and that is really with no actual wear and tear on them. Two years after purchase, they are cracking / splintering on their own without any force applied. With the most recent cracks showing and disrupting my vision, I needed to make a quick purchase of lenses and decided to go elsewhere. I called to get my prescription and medical records faxed - and was told that they had to get permission from the doctor for that and promised they would call me back. Another couple follow up calls over the next couple hours yielded no further results. Finally I was told that I had to sign a medical release form and fax it back to them (they never once called me). I faxed the form to them from the place where I was going to purchase lenses from. I called to follow up 15 minutes later - they acknowledged the fax and gave me an ETA of 10-15 minutes to have the records in hand. I called 45 minutes later and was put on hold for 5 minutes while they went and again got permission from the doctor to fax me the documents. After the optometrist I was with reviewed the prescription and reviewed the lenses they had made me, we discovered that 1. They had 2 contradictory prescriptions on there and 2. neither prescription fully matched the lenses they sold me Except for the initial visit with the doctor at Wayne Regional (now retired), every other aspect of my experience with Wayne Regional has been very negative. They sold me expensive but poor quality lenses that did not match the prescription their own doctor wrote and then made it an arduous task to get my own records sent to either myself or to another optometrist.
