There was a couple last-minute schedule changes we wanted to do and they totally crushed it in seamlessly making it happen. My husband and I had the best experience with Lauren at YPB and cannot recommend their services enough. After initially reaching out to the company, we spoke with the owner Kim, who was knowledgeable and even recommended her lowest package, the signature package, for us based on our expectations for our wedding and planning process. After the initial consultation and choosing YPB as our planner, Kim paired us with one of her planners. The original planner did not meet our expectations. We reached out to Kim, who immediately remedied the issue by pairing us with a new planner, Lauren, who was a god send. Lauren was with us through the planning process and figured out all aspects of our timeline, wedding day logistics, rental order, and more. Lauren was professional, organized, and extremely knowledgeable. We felt like we got to know her well during the 6+ months we worked with her and really enjoyed working with and getting to know her. We had several hiccups in the planning process with our bartender, who was refusing to provide services that were originally agreed upon. This was devastating to us, as the bar and signature drinks were one of the elements of our wedding we were most excited about. Lauren stepped in and helped us find a new bartender at the last minute that far exceeded our original bartender and our expectations. Because of Lauren, what could have been a very stressful experience 4 weeks out from our wedding, was not stressful. During the process and before making the decision, Lauren was patient with us and took extra time to help guide us through the pros and cons of each bartender, which we really appreciated. The next time we saw Lauren was during our rehearsal, which she ran expertly. We had a loud group with a lot of questions, and Lauren stayed calm, answered everyone's questions, and made sure each and every person knew their places during the ceremony. Despite all the help during the planning process, which we really couldn't have done without, the wedding was when we were most grateful for Lauren. We arrived to our ceremony and reception areas fully setup exactly how we had discussed during our walk through. It was absolutely gorgeous and flawlessly executed. We had a fair amount of decor that we brought and Lauren took time to make sure she understood where we wanted everything placed, both during the walk through and follow up meetings. The ceremony went smoothly, thanks in no small part, to the rehearsal Lauren ran the day before. We requested an unplugged ceremony and Lauren went out of her way to make sure our family adhered to this. I think she would have tackled grandma if we asked her to, that's how dedicated she was. When the ceremony was over, Lauren was waiting with food and drinks for us both. She made sure we got all the family photos we wanted and made sure we were comfortable with food, drinks, helping me remove my veil, and bustle my dress. Throughout the reception, Lauren and her associate made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. The flow was smooth and us and our guests had an amazing night. My wife and I worked with Natale from YPB to organize our wedding. We opted for the package where the planner works with you and is mostly hands-off until you are months before the wedding. This was great, because Natale was able to give us recommendations and suggestions whenever we would send ideas her way. She also provided us with a clear timeline and guide for how the day would work out early on, which we adjusted throughout the process. One of my favorite things about working with YPB was that we were able to actually enjoy planning for the most part because we knew exactly what we needed to focus on at the right time. Without Natale's guidance, it would have been really hard to prioritize our vendors, and know when we needed to have things done. What was also helpful during the process was the venue walk-through and rental sessions. We walked the venue together and talked about ideas, and worked with The Party Place in Portland to pick the tablescapes we liked. This was helpful because it meant we had access to rentals early on - which were fully booked up as we got closer to the event. When it got to the few weeks leading up to the wedding, Natale really stepped up in taking our calls and texts for the final push toward the event. We were able to know exactly what needed prioritizing and finalizing and went into the event knowing exactly what to expect. It was almost as if Natale could read our minds at times and know exactly what to suggest when we needed help. As an out-of-state bride who didn't really have a vision for what her wedding should be, my partner and I decided to get a wedding planner. YPB stayed true to their mission in providing an authentic one-of-a kind genuine experience--one that feels like you are planning your wedding along side your best friend (except that they are doing most of the grunt work). My YPB wedding planner/best friend was Dena Chapman. From the get-go, Dena was open, kind, and considerate of all my bridal needs. She always pointed me in the right direction or gently informed me of her concerns. We even had to change our venue in the middle of wedding planning, which caused me a lot of stress. But Dena acted quickly and was able to secure us a new venue within days!!! DAYS! In addition, I was a particularly indecisive bride and kept changing my vision for table-setting and colors. Dena was patient with me and receptive to all the changes every single time. She even made extra trips for us to the rental place to make sure our table-setting was exactly what we wanted. Dena handled so much that we only had to come to Portland for tastings, venue, and rental walk throughs - she took care of the rest! She even renegotiated our food vendors and got us an amazing quote - easily enough to cover the cost of her services. On the day of our wedding, I was completely stress free because I knew Dena had everything under control. I designated two people for Dena to contact and she coordinated with them throughout the day, allowing my husband and I to just enjoy ourselves. There seemed to be a lot of confusion and miscommunication in the very early stages of planning. The owner, Kim, seemed inattentive and didn't inform us that we wouldn't be working with her and would be working with her other staff, Ashley. This took MONTHS to clarify and we didn't get any notification from Kim that Ashley was going to be our new coordinator. For reference, we intially seeked out the services on April, then gave our "wedding" to Ashley on October. Kim seemed very disinterested in our wedding, every time we met with her (prior to having Ashley as our main coordinator) she seemed bored and almost bothered by us. Maybe its because we didn't want traditional wedding nor had any experience in planning. We were almost considering dropping the services because we didn't feel that it was actually benefitting us to having a coordinator that wasn't really involved. That whole experience was very frustrating. We felt as if she only really cared the first time we had met her and once we had paid the deposit that she didn't really care to seek us out after that. She never really checked in on us either, she would only email us replies and never intiated conversations about our wedding. Ashley on the other hand was great. I'm glad that the switch was made because she was very interested in us as a couple. She is kind, friendly and has great ideas. She wasn't she most responsive to emails in the earlier months but as time got closer to the wedding, she was always there for us. They effortlessly worked with our crazy schedules, making sure everything was in order before my fiance left town for the two months before the wedding (not returning until two days before the wedding). Ashley and Nicole took the time to really understand us and what we were looking for in terms of the overall feel for the day, design factors, and specific vendors. Having a wedding planner was the best decision that we made in the wedding planning process! We chose to hire a wedding planner because we were super overwhelmed by the wedding planning process and wanted to have someone to guide us through it. Our wedding planner was Katelyn and she was amazing! I really don't know what we would have done without her. We basically picked all of our vendors through her recommendation and she was always so responsive. Whenever I was stressed out, we'd have a meeting with her and I'd immediately feel better. If you're on the fence about spending the money on a wedding planner, it's so worth it and YPB is where you want to go!! read more

Erika was the main coordinator for our wedding and she was great! I am still in awe that we pulled off my dream wedding despite COVID and Washington state restrictions. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding day! I felt so relaxed and the timeline went so smoothly! Having Erika and the YPB team there made me feel at ease and comfortable throughout the day. Even during the planning stages of our wedding, Erika and Kim were very responsive and providing ideas and recommendations. We weren't able to have a formal reception due to COVID restrictions so instead we rented an AirBnB to have dinner and the way the YPB team set it up was just perfect with such attention to detail. We were lucky enough to have Katelyn as my wedding planner through YPB. Katelyn was my saving grace through the wedding planning process- from planning our original wedding, postponing because of covid, starting planning over again, managing the constantly changing covid protocols, responding to my many emails and texts, handling any vendor issues, and so much more... Katelyn was amazing. Now that I've bragged about how awesome she was during the wedding planning process.... It's time to talk about the day of and the round of applause she deserves. Katelyn and her team showed up, got to work, and made all of my Pinterest wedding dreams come true. She also fixed numerous bridesmaids dresses that managed to break throughout the day. THEN our wedding cake and desserts didn't get delivered and she found a bakery and got us cupcakes and other desserts- all in a moments notice! Samantha helped our wedding plans come to life! From our first meeting to post-wedding follow-up, Samantha was professional, supportive, insightful and personable. We hired Kim immediately after we selected our venue. For the past year, we've been working closely with her for Day-of Coordination services, including gathering suggestions from her on local vendors to use, timeline strategy and pacing, and just general advice. My husband and I were planning across the country, and countless times, Kim came through to provide us with a fresh perspective and honest advice on how to keep things moving forward. She treated our event like her own, and could recall countless details with ease throughout our entire time working together. Kim was patient, generous with her time and attention, and prompt and responsive the ENTIRE time we worked with her. The morning of our wedding day, as storm clouds loomed and rain drizzled, Kim kept a calm and cool manner (and kept my husband from freaking out about it all!) - she kept set up and clean up on track, even ran out to get allergy medication for the Groom's mother (who has an allergic reaction halfway through the event!) and made sure to track me down to alert me that she was stepping out and who was in charge while she was away. Kim was a worthy investment for our wedding: we absolutely could not have pulled off our event without her. In retrospect, if we were right on budget, I would have cut our décor, dessert, or trimmed our attire budget in order to make sure we were still able to afford her services - that's how vital she was to us. SIDE NOTE: I also worked with Your Perfect Blossoms (I couldnt find a separate space to review them so Im adding it in here): Melanie came to us via a referral from our coordinator. She was professional, knowledgeable, and thoughtful in her approach. From the beginning, she was prompt in responses and very thorough in her answers. She provided guidance to which flowers she felt complemented the overall vision and color scheme, and nothing was too outrageous or understated for her. She had reasonable charges and delivery fees, and her set up was flawless. We had my mother's wedding dress wrapped around my bouquet, and she gifted us a gorgeous brooch to pin it together. I wish Melanie was able to stay for our entire wedding event, because our submerged orchid and LED lighted cylinder vase centerpieces were the talk of the evening. read more
