I was traveling from Pensacola Florida back home to Shelburne, Vermont and it was running on about seven hours of sleep for the last two days. With almost 8 hours in front of me I just cited to stop in this quaint little town to rest for the night properly and avoid the storm. That being said, I wanted to go to Walmart and buy a few items as well as fill the gas tank up so after I left Walmart, I was heading down the road that the hotel I'm staying at is on. For some reason I just had to fill up all the way as I usually do. I went to turn in to the parking lot of a gas station that looked like it might be open. I slowly turned in to the parking lot and as I did, there was part of the curve, that's hard to describe how it's made, but it's sharp and I busted my tire. The hole knocked in. It must've been at least 4 to 5 inches maybe even larger. I was about a half a mile from home if that or hotel, rather, as Home is in Vermont. I called a company called Mr. Tire and he recommended Abe's towing, I was reluctant at first, because I didn't know anything about them, but the gentleman I spoke to on the phone was unbelievably polite and knowledgeable as well. They said they have a guy out within 30 minutes to pick it up, 30 minutes? On a weekend? You can't get that service anywhere besides that the driver Chris was here before I could even finish getting my clothes back on. He by far, one of the best representatives for a company you could have, Chris explained everything completely, and treated my Jeep like a baby! I cannot say enough about Chris, I went from a very foul mood to having a pretty brighter outlook pretty quick. The price is reasonable and likely less than anybody that you call and when they say a half an hour, start getting ready immediately because they're very fast to get to your location. I believe the entire fleet is that way, to the people who deserve it and probably to those that don't. They are just a solid company from what I've seen and heard. They are highly recommended among the people I talk to they have a few different shops, so if you can't get in one, you can definitely get another. They have a convenient online sign up for appointments! I love that part of the website. So many towing companies out there or just out for the buck, but not these people they're out for your business, they're genuine, transparent, and follow through with their word. I would say, use them, and to those that do congratulations, you just made a good friend. To those of you who choose not to use Abe's towing service center for your needs, congratulations you have found a home for your car to those of you who wish to read this review and go other places. My husband and I were on our way to our son's house for Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving Day and we were coming over a hill. One of the drivers from this company, (we don't know if he was the owner or just a driver) was backing out onto the road, which I think is illegal, to hook up stranded vehicle. My husband had to slam on his brakes which caused our food to fall. We got out of the car and mentioned this to the driver pointing out he was in the wrong for backing out into the road the way he did. He was a complete smart ass. Had an unfortunate accident around here during deer season and the state troopers recommended this place and couldn't be more happy with their recommendation. The entire staff we were working with was extremely helpful and treated us beyond expectation. Dave Edwards was THE absolute best person to work with. He didn't care about the monetary value, rather he treated us like we were humans and worried more about our welfare and safety being stranded out here. My auto insurance company contracted Abe's Towing to take my disabled car from my house to a local repair shop. I was given an estimate of 90 minutes (not bad, considering Abe's is at least 30 minutes from my house). The truck arrived 30 minutes earlier, the driver was very friendly. My car was loaded carefully and properly on to the rollback and taken to my repair shop. This is the second time I have used my auto insurance for a tow. The first time (with a different tow company) was a disaster. This time it was a pleasant experience. read more

Avoid getting your car serviced here. They'll quote you a low price when you drop off your car and when you're ready to pick it up, it will be hundreds of dollars more. They will add items to your bill that you didn't request\authorize. They don't even have the courtesy to call you and tell you that your bill is going to be much higher than your original quote. They just expect you to fork out hundreds of dollars more because they know that you will because they're holding your vehicle hostage. read more

We had an unfortunate accident which Abe's towing was able to get to us right away at 4:30-5am and helped us out all day. We spent probably 9-10 hours on their tow yard that day just making phone calls to figure out what to do, and over the course of that time we saw nothing but considerate, hardworking, teamwork players who did everything in their power to help us. The owner was completely rude and unreasonable. When trying to confirm information from our insurance company, who called them by the way, he became very impatient and hung up on me. I would not recommend this company for any towing services and I am making sure my insurance company knows how unpleasant this experience was. We were incorrectly charged even though it was thoroughly noted on my insurance account. The rude owner refused to confirm with Geico. Luckily I was able to be reimbursed for the overpayment by my insurance company. Definitely do not do business with this towing company. read more

I called to get his personal belongings out of the vehicle wallet cell phone They said I couldnt get nothing out of the vehicle until i paid $600 dollars for a tow that was literally 5 miles! so professional of you guys to try an charge me $600 for a 5 mile tow never heard of that in my entire life I got a tow over 100 miles an never paid near that price! while my husband is icu I can't handle anything because your withholding his wallet! Dishonest and rude staff. Driver said he would not make it in time, after I was promised that they would. When I said that the dispatcher was dishonest, the driver went off on me and then hung-up. I called another company and the Abes driver had the nerve to show up at my house!!! I asked him if he was the man that hung on me and he said yes. So, this time I gave him a piece of my mind.
